- In the beginning was the word (Jesus) and the word was with God(holy spirit, searches out all things not to just know but understanding also) and the word was God(the Father) I've never heard anyone link the Trinity to the beginning of John 1:1 SO I wonder if anyone knows of anything about this. The verse continues on and also say and in Him was life and it was the light men..what is John talking about? The apostles had" The Teacher ", Our Lord Jesus evidently had been teaching them a important truth. Was the light of men the Elect ?
Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
God had the plan to come in the future in flesh in the beginning, and that plan was with Him in the beginning before He laid down the foundation of the world, and that plan was God manifest in flesh.
The Bible is God revealing Himself by words written in a book.
The Word of God is God revealing Himself personally by manifesting Himself in flesh.
The Word is God manifest in the flesh,so it includes the man Christ Jesus,so this was a plan in the beginning, but came to reality when Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit.
Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
All things were made with the plan of God to come in flesh, and without the plan of God coming in flesh,God would of not created anything He created, for Jesus is the reason creation is successful.
Joh 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Joh 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Joh 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
Joh 1:7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
Joh 1:8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
Joh 1:9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
Every person has the chance to be able to see the light of Jesus, the truth, salvation, and the darkness does not comprehend it,which means no matter how lost a person is they can find the light of Jesus, and be saved.
They say God chooses who will be saved, but Jesus lights every person that is born in to this world, and the Spirit and bride say, anybody can have that salvation.
Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Joh 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
This does not prove a trinity, but that God had the plan in the beginning to come in the flesh, and then it became reality when the conception happened in the womb of Mary.
The Word of God is God revealing Himself to mankind by appearing in flesh.
