Zen Zen Zen, Oh Zen
as far as I can tell
there really isn't anything Zen about you!
If an insult leaves a person's mouth, but nobody cares about hearing it, does it cause harm?

May God bless you all.

May God bless you as well.
We are not the judge of people in this world so I will not bother telling you anything I think of you.
I hope Abba speaks in and through your life.

I have spanked my child, but only when I knew they understood what they did was wrong. It was a spanking, and it did make them wail with tears...but I never exerted my strength into bruising, and I would calmly explain in love why I did it. My daughter said she would never spank her children...I let her have her way on her thoughts. When she got older, and had her first child, she came to me. "Mom, Luke will not stop playing with electrical cords, I've tried everything!" I asked "Did you swat him on the butt?" She was scared, about abuse. I explained about doing it in a way, that was not abuse, and according to age.
The next time he did it, she swatted him once, and he did not do it again! She is a wonderful mother, and my grand babies listen well!
Course, readers should know that will not work on a grown woman whom is a wife.

Anyone having contentions with an angry & brawling wife should see how saints in the O.T. dealt with them.

Proverbs 21:[SUP]9 [/SUP]It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house........[SUP]19 [/SUP]It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.....

I do not see any beatings involved in such situations in any part of the Bible in regards to a spouse. Just saying.

Anyway.. the OP reference to the Lord's commandment about women not speaking in church does offer another line of discernment in regards to tongues without interpretation when the Holy Spirit would never break the Lord's commandment by manifesting tongues in women to speak in church. Thus there is just cause for discerning tongues as well as how women had gotten them in testing the spirits also.

I reported Zen for encouraging and promoting domestic violence.

you are not the only one I am sure

this thread reminds me of voyeurism and pornography. I do believe he is enjoying what he is doing and I do wish people would not feed this spirit

If a woman has no husband, or family to ask...How does she go about understanding, when she only has the church?

It's funny to see so many young people (who are probably not disciplined and taught respect by their fathers) jump in to mock someone who has posted common sense, facts and biblical wisdom regarding the importance of family in God's eyes.
If this shows how you were "disciplined and taught respect by YOUR father"... he should be in prison for child abuse and you close on his heels for continuing the cycle.

The church should comfort and teach her. They can share in friendships outside of teachings. Are you looking for a husband?

Modern women are horrible. I find it staggering that men don't beat sense in to women any more.

I'm not saying to go back to the old covenant, I'm pointing out how much wiser they were and how much better society was when women weren't puffed up and disrespectful and answering back without fear and how God has stated dozens of times the need of widows and the fatherless to be taken care of in a loving family.

Lord Jesus didn't go around beating people up, that's true. But He did talk about stoning to death;

Matthew 15:
[SUP]4 [/SUP]For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.

[SUP]5 [/SUP]But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;
[SUP]6 [/SUP]And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.

Children being killed? Are you going to accuse God of being abusive, cruel or sexist?

Ephesians 5:

[SUP]22 [/SUP]Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
[SUP]23 [/SUP]For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

Women who don't submit and aren't biblical need correction, otherwise they are spreading confusion and partaking in the world against godly authority.

Please note, I have never promoted abuse. I am not condoning abusive relationships. I do not condone senseless violence.

I know, abuse isn't.

I posted 4 passages of scripture, and spoke against hypocrisy. It's foolishness to speak emotionally without thinking.

So, your second post says you don't promote abuse! What does your first post clearly posit? It says that modern women should be beaten, because "they are horrible."

I hope you will acknowledge this total lie in your second post. When you advocate women being beaten, that is abuse! There is NEVER a reason to beat a woman, or hit her, or punch her, or anything else. Or deprive her of money, demand sex, out verbally abuse her.

As someone who has taken courses on abuse counselling, the logical result of demanding women behave a certain way, is abuse. Controlling other people is the cause of abuse. Because the other person can NEVER meet all the demands, especially because they tend to change, along the way. Nothing is ever good enough for an abuser. And the abuser is NOT GOD! They have no right to make decisions to "stone" the person, regardless of how they have displeased the person.

Instead of the abuser dealing with their own issues (and yes, sometimes men are abused by women, although if weapons are not used, it is usually not as damaging, because the woman is not as strong!), they choose to take it out on someone weaker than themselves. That also applies to child abuse and animal abuse and religious abuse. It is someone in authority taking control over someone weaker, and resorting to anger and beating when the weaker person fails to please. (See my post on the word "authority" in 1 Tim. 2:12, to follow!)

Instead, the abuser needs to worry about pleasing the other person, and God. God is the judge. It is not up to the husband to judge his wife, and mete out punishment. Instead, he needs to pray for himself and his wife, and seek God, and marriage counselling.

Wow! Just wow! I'm triggered. I thought I was going to come onto this thread, and talk about the terrible translation mistakes in the KJV and other translations regarding the word "authentein" with is wrongly translated "authority" in many versions. Instead, I find an angry man, who advocate beating women, and justifies it by pulling verses out of context.

I have also reported you. And, I am also a senior person, so have some respect for me!
