They are still opinions. Should they be allowed merely for the freedom of speech?
What if they are really extreme and feel a certain group of people should be wiped out?
Is "freedom" of speech still valid?

i think trolls that are here to mock

are different than someone who is either confused
or disagrees
i mean...
i get what you are saying

but im starting to agree that banning should really be reserved for those who obviously are here to hate on christians

Yes, I didn't say we should ban them all
but this is a Christian site.... it's it bit odd if a large number of the top threads are on flat earth and aliens?
Imagine what new potential members must think!

if you paid attention to what I posted I said either delete "Or" "move" certain threads from bible discussion forum or other forums,if they don't really "fit" in certain forums,simple,this is part of "managing" a site,otherwise the site can be reported or even closed for "neglect" to manage this "interaction" site,I took a website class on this sort of thing there are many things one must "consider" when not only "legally creating" a site,but also managing the site whether concerning it's troubleshooting or it's "member" issues,everything concerning a site is very serious,because one slip up could land someone in "Jail" or lead to a lawsuit case,depending on the "severity" of the issue!!!

Of course it's flat. How else would a level work....... or would we be able to stand upright. Just drive through Kansas or Illinois if you don't believe it.

Its been often said that mods are volunteers and are unable to keep up with the issues in the BDF. Is it not possible to give authority to some long standing,trusted members here? I know there are people who have been here many,many years and are trusted members. It may a stupid idea but we really need to come up with something. Things are getting way too out of hand and no one seems to feel we can get a mod when needed. Something has to be done or the best of CC will be gone.

I do not enjoy being treated disrespectfully on this site, but then, we all know that discussing religion (and politics) doesn't always bring out the best in us. When I feel I've been insulted, I do not return the insult. I just continue to try to prove my point. Once someone insults you, you've pretty much won the argument, and isn't that what really maters?

What would be far worse than being insulted would be to have a forum that is micromanaged, where you are only allowed to say things the mods and administrators agree with. That is what would kill this website, I believe.

I just want to say something.....it is a sad day when people who name Jesus are so easily offended by a chat site that has a little heat in it that they have to leave like it is the end of the world.....regardless of belief we are called to defend the truth as prepared for battle and make no mistake this is a war for the souls of men and women.....I have been called every thing but white in the BDF by those who disagree with me and yet I still go there every day to post and defend the word of God without being offended and or tucking tail and running away....I love the BDF...it keeps me on my toes, forces me to view scripture from everyone's perspective and YES I have learned and gleaned some truth from particular members and also strengthened my resolve concerning what I personally believe....I have on occasion apologized for being rough and lacking tact and or saying particular things, but at the end of the day if JESUS would have folded like some here when faced with what he went through we would ALL be on the way to a devil's hell......if one cannot handle the "sword play" and or heat that comes with discussing religion then don't go in the BDF......it is that SIMPLE...to be HONEST...I for one am tired of all the mouthy statements about the BDF....It is the BEST place I have found to discuss, argue and post about the bible on the entire web.....lastly.....God's children should not be so easily offended and if one or you cannot handle a little heat from an opposing view in a CHAT SITE then you are going to be in REAL trouble when the REAL persecution comes from the world....make no mistake....WE ALL as believers will be ostracized, imprisoned and or KILLED for the truth in the very near future....PUT your pants on and make a stand for the truth and not be so easily offended....

IF ANY ARE OFFENDED by this....I APOLOGIZE NOW, but I speak these words with NO HEAT, or attitude toward anyone......as I pray for ALL even if I THINK what you believe is contrary........

Well brother I feel ya,I get what you're saying. But when a man says there's nothing wrong with hitting a woman and uses the Bible to defend that... Can I stand against him,yes,did I,yes. But the issue becomes when I answer I then put myself in danger of being banned. Serious danger. Because if you want to be a jerk and an abuser,thats horrible enough,but when you use the Word to defend it,we're going to have a throw down. Im not about to give an inch,Ive seen too many women abused by "men" claiming to be Christians. So I can take the heat,and I can give the heat,but then Im on the ban list for standing for the truth. Most foolishness I just ignore after I point out their stupidity. But I know that women felt terribly upset over his comments. Me,not so much. Like I said,if a man is found in church to have hit his wife the men of the church need to get together,drag him out of his house and give him a good whippin so he understands what it feels like. Next time he may think twice before he reaches out to slap someone. But thats just how Id deal with it.

​ Thats the explanation Id heard,not enough mods. Hadn't heard the other but Im not a long time member.
