Whats to Be Done For the BDF?

Im hearing a lot of discouragement from brothers and sisters about the BDF and the hateful nonsense that goes on there. People are wanting to leave CC because of the issues there. Its been often said that mods are volunteers and are unable to keep up with the issues in the BDF. Is it not possible to give authority to some long standing,trusted members here? I know there are people who have been here many,many years and are trusted members. It may a stupid idea but we really need to come up with something. Things are getting way too out of hand and no one seems to feel we can get a mod when needed. Something has to be done or the best of CC will be gone.

Sigh.... I honestly don't know
I don't think there is much a mod can do to be honest....
I think everyone (me included) needs to grow up get their panties out of a bunch and stop arguing.
Of course, that's never happening
I think the BDF is a lost cause
 
I'm moderating the streets of an East Texas town, so I can tell moderating is one complicated business.
 
It's sad that the good people are leaving....
It seems those that we don't like are stronger willed though.... maybe if we can work on trying to ignore those who speak about things we disagree with or don't like?...
 
Nothing to be done. Engaging in the BDF and it's conversations* is a choice. Choose to not go in there.

It's not easy sometimes, and it's all too familiar to fire back when someone antagonizes you or says something you feel needs to be corrected but take it from me - We trolls intentionally antagonize people. Don't feed them. Even if someone will not admit to being a troll, some folks engage in troll-like behavior. Don't engage. Let them eat silence. Handle them like you would a bratty 3-year old girl.

Not all of the good people have left,
There are still some here, but a lot have left.
Lol I bet I can make a case on how I'm one of the bad people

There is only ONE thread in the BDF thread that's decent enough to keep around... "speak your mind".

Just a bunch of random folk trying to lighten things up.
 
Embarrassing and bullying are two different things

There should at least be some sort of warning/disclaimer in bold letters at the top of the forum that says..

Welcome to the BDF
Enter at your own risk!
CC is not responsible for any of the content in this forum. If you can't handle it, we have many other forums that may suit you.

I just want to say something.....it is a sad day when people who name Jesus are so easily offended by a chat site that has a little heat in it that they have to leave like it is the end of the world.....regardless of belief we are called to defend the truth as prepared for battle and make no mistake this is a war for the souls of men and women.....I have been called every thing but white in the BDF by those who disagree with me and yet I still go there every day to post and defend the word of God without being offended and or tucking tail and running away....I love the BDF...it keeps me on my toes, forces me to view scripture from everyone's perspective and YES I have learned and gleaned some truth from particular members and also strengthened my resolve concerning what I personally believe....I have on occasion apologized for being rough and lacking tact and or saying particular things, but at the end of the day if JESUS would have folded like some here when faced with what he went through we would ALL be on the way to a devil's hell......if one cannot handle the "sword play" and or heat that comes with discussing religion then don't go in the BDF......it is that SIMPLE...to be HONEST...I for one am tired of all the mouthy statements about the BDF....It is the BEST place I have found to discuss, argue and post about the bible on the entire web.....lastly.....God's children should not be so easily offended and if one or you cannot handle a little heat from an opposing view in a CHAT SITE then you are going to be in REAL trouble when the REAL persecution comes from the world....make no mistake....WE ALL as believers will be ostracized, imprisoned and or KILLED for the truth in the very near future....PUT your pants on and make a stand for the truth and not be so easily offended....

IF ANY ARE OFFENDED by this....I APOLOGIZE NOW, but I speak these words with NO HEAT, or attitude toward anyone......as I pray for ALL even if I THINK what you believe is contrary........
