Easy? What if - to reach that edge - you had to travel a great distance ( at least several hundreds of miles, possibly well over a thousand ) across a lifeless completely-dark terrain of ice and snow at 100+ degrees below zero - where the sun literally never shines? And, that is assuming that you are somehow able to breach the protective dome somewhere along the way. ( And, there may not be any oxygen outside the dome. )

If you are going to consider Flat Earth, you must learn to think in Flat Earth terms and not Ball Earth terms.

The oceans do not fall off the edge in a completely tropical environment where you can simply approach the edge, drop an anchor, and take pictures...

And, it is very highly likely that no airplane has ever come anywhere even close to the 'edge' - enough to see it. ( Because of the protective dome. )

Research: Flat Earth

You are going to have to look at some other things in order to obtain the proof you require.

The earth is flat with an edge? NOOOOOOOOOOO

Job 26:10
He drew a circular horizon on the face of the waters at the boundary of light and darkness.

If the earth is flat God would have drawn a straight horizon rather than a circular horizon on the face of the waters. It is circular because of the curvature of the earth.
Why don't you post actual scripture instead of paraphrasing to fit your world view?

Job 26:[SUP]10 [/SUP]He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.

Job 26:[SUP]10 [/SUP]He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.
Same verse from another versions:

Job 26:10(RSV)
He has described a circle upon the face of the waters at the boundary between light and darkness.

Job 26:10 (NASB)
He has inscribed a circle on the surface of the waters at the boundary of light and darkness.

How does water on a sphere have compassed boundary?

The definition of the word compassed is 'to go around something in a circular course'. I am assuming that you didn't resort to paraphrasing the bible verse you provided as it offers definitive scriptural proof that the world in not flat but round.

A physical attribute of water is that it always conforms to the shape that it is contained in. This is a scientific fact. The boundary of the water was set by God. The verse is stating a physical description of the shape of the water and that it is curved.

Just the information I need to avoid the NKJV bible. Nowhere does it say horizon.

The verse in the NKJV specifically states 'horizon'. Look it up yourself if you doubt this.

Yes, that's why I said it's reason enough to avoid the NKJV bible. It's obviously false and not inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Job 26:[SUP]10 [/SUP]He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.

Job 26:10 He drew a circular horizon on the face of the waters at the boundary of light and darkness.

Why is it obviously false and not inspired by the Holy Spirit? God certainly knew that would be contained in all the major versions of the bible. What makes you think that the other versions of the bible are reliable and not false? Maybe the entire Word of God is false regardless of the version.

Fortunately, the inspired Word of God, regardless of the version, is not predicated on whether or not you or anyone else believes it to be reliable. Your argument is not with me but rather the Author of the Book.

Hilarious! Seriously, do you live in the Middle Ages, and travel by donkey? We fly across Canada in 6 hours, which is about 5 thousands miles. I have done it myself! My son lives in the Arctic. He dresses for it in winter, and puts cardboard on his windows in summer to block out the 24 hour light. You know, from the sun going round the earth! NOT!

You need to come back to the 21st century. If what you say is true, then get some O2 masks, some heaters and warm clothes (seriously, I used to walk to the bus over a mile in Edmonton growing up, in -60F weather. I wore a fur coat of my grandmother's, two pairs of gloves and socks, a fur hat and a 20 foot long wool scarf I wrapped around my neck and head. I was never cold or froze any skin!)

So, get in a boat, airplane or whatever needs to be done, travel to the edge of this flat earth with proper modern support of things like O2 and electric or gas heaters, and take a picture of the edge.

The fact that there are no pictures is telling! The earth is not flat, no one is being lied to by the media, and some people on this thread are taking literalism to an extreme the Pharisees would have been shocked at! Or, insanity is really contagious!

Every morning when I get up, the sun has risen. Every night the sun sets! Does that mean I am a liar? Does that mean the sun goes around the earth? Nope! Just a euphemism, or a common saying that must be left over from the days when people thought the sun rotated around the earth.

God certainly does not lie, but the Bible reflects the people who wrote it. God might have said "sphere" and it was changed to "circle" because that is what they knew. Or the word "sphere" got lost in the middle ages. The Masoretic text we have date to the 10th century AD. Nothing like a little editing to correct a scientific issue, that was thought to be settled. And to protect God, who might not have known his creation the earth, was at the centre of the solar system, rather than being the third planet.

Try and explain the paths of the planets through the sky. They travel in strange orbits, which is why they were called "wanderers" or "planets." Learn some physics or astronomy, or, please, post a picture of the edge of the earth!

Just dying to see a place probably equivalent to the high arctic in winter! But mainly the edge! Stop subterfuging the truth, and post the pictures. It would be your ideal defence.

I had no idea there was so much utter ignorance, and people believed this kind of nonsense. And why? To defend God? He can defend himself and his creation.

But, try writing fantasy! Because this flat earth obsession is complete and utter fantasy! GoT has no edge on the fantasy in this thread!

I might be a long time, I have hired a plane to fly off the edge of the earth, into, well
we do not know where.

Problem is planes keep on disappearing and no one knows why on these expeditions.
The government is covering it up, and me telling you this on a website will endanger my li........

Carry on people, nothing to be seen here, only the MIB clean up brigade.

I mean seriously, the world is so small we are now talking about global warming destroying
our planet, as a farmer you can hire people to photograph your crops to tell you when to
water and when to put pesticide etc on.

Only a child or someone deranged would actually hold to the idea the earth is flat.

But then maybe they are just plants to make christians look stupid......

But then again, I think that is already position filled, lolololol

Thanks for your input.
No thank you.

I was surprised at this thread once. But now I am getting appalled.
Away with the fairies is my best description of these folk.

And this issue does matter. Because it is calling people liars who are speaking the
truth and being honest and open, and brings the idea of fake news that step closer
to dominance, which is death to justice and love.

But I realise some do not know the precious gift of freedom they currently live under
and how rare this is in human history and how we have to prize it as a treasure.

Job 26:10
He drew a circular horizon on the face of the waters at the boundary of light and darkness.
Verse taken directly from NKJ, no paraphrase.
Same verse from another versions:

Job 26:10(RSV)
He has described a circle upon the face of the waters at the boundary between light and darkness.

Job 26:10 (NASB)
He has inscribed a circle on the surface of the waters at the boundary of light and darkness.
The phrase "at the boundary" is completely wrong.

The idea of 'horizon' is not implied at all.

The idea of a 'circle' is implied, however.

The idea of a circle being "drawn" on the 'face' of the waters - sounds nice - but, is not actually implied either.

( And, even if it were - it would still fall well within the definitions of the Flat Earth model. )

Job 26:

[SUP]10[/SUP] He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.

Based on the Strong's definitions - I believe that this verse is saying, in effect:

"He hath appointed the waters to be circumscribed / encompassed / surrounded [ by something ] until there is no more day and night."

( or, "for as long as there is day and night" )

Now - I really don't think anyone will deny that "the waters" is talking about the oceans / seas of the Earth.

So then -- [ something ] surrounds the oceans / seas of the Earth.

This verse is not talking about a 'circle' on the 'face' of the oceans / seas; it is talking about "something" that is 'around' the oceans.

And, Flat-Earthers will suggest to you that that "something" is a land mass that completely surrounds the oceans -- the "ice wall" and beyond...

You believe you live on a sphere because scientists told you so. The heliocentric model conflicts with the Word of God.
