how about give me evidence Eric Dubay is a born-again Christian who has devoted his life to proclaiming the service of Jesus, and is determined to know nothing among men but Christ and Him crucified?
Ill have him fax over a copy of his Christian Card.
Please do the same, Post.

Thanks.

Eric Dubey is controlled oposition/disinformation agent whose sole purpose, financial and social backing is to discredit the flat earth theory.
IOW the champion of your "movement" is a troll.
a troll so sophisticated that he is not distinguishable from someone seriously deluded.

yea, Poe's Law. like i said.

You're reachin, brother.
yes, obviously, hoping that the irony wouldn't be lost on the person who did the same in kind when faced with the truth about whether people in Christ's day believed the earth was flat.
let me restate a couple posts to make my understanding of the narrative clear:

"everyone in Christ's day knew the earth is a globe. He wasn't telling Nicodemus it is flat"

"yeah well show me someone from before 1600 who i can't smear by associating with the occult somehow"

"well show me the champion of your 'movement' is in no way associated with the occult"

does my reply make more sense now?

loving the response

"nah, i'm elite enough to know that he is actually an occult troll"

All lm asking, Post...(like we've discussed before)

What does it matter if people want to believe the earth is flat?
Why is everyone getting so hot over it?

I mean, l see some members that are normally cool and level headed acting out of character.

Its just what they believe and isn't a salvation issue.
Go into a Star Wars forum and convince them that the Death Star isnt real.

These fanboys are convinced the SW universe really exists and l dont see anyone taking aim at them to stop believing what they believe.
Im serious man, Lucas probably has millions of loyal followers and no one worries about them?

You can't distinguish him because as I've said in the past it's hard to distinguish controlled position when you are on the other side of the fence, flat earthers know he has alterior motives and is disingenuous.

For example, any 9-11(er) knows that the planes "used" were CGI and the explosions demolition, but Michael Moore presents with full conviction that real planes were used. This immediately discredits him because any "expert" would know this fundamental fact. He pollutes the opposition with half-truths, a disinformation agent acting as controlled opposition.

Dubey is called a "shill" by flat earthers same as Moore, google Dubey Shill and you will see.

when you go to the starwars forum, people know that the death star isn't real. but they will love to argue with you about it for 100 pages anyway, not because they are defending the truth, but because they get a kick out of it, feeling clever, deriving pleasure from seeing you upset, with their tongue in their cheeks the whole time.
for their part, they consider what they are doing a great joke. if someone naive actually believes them, then the joke is all that much more funny. this is Poe's Law: as trolling becomes more sophisticated, it becomes harder and harder to tell someone who is seriously confused and believes obvious untruths from someone who knows they aren't true but is pulling a gag, lying, acting a part.

From Your precepts I get understanding;
Therefore I hate every false way

(Psalm 119:104)

as Christians, despising lies isn't out of character at all. it should be expected. we should be graceful with each other, but with salt.

people get upset with one another on the forums for a variety of reasons, but prominently when they are quite certain something is true, and that they have a great weight of credible and obvious evidence to the fact, but they encounter someone else who opposes their proposition, denies, disregards or discredits all their evidence, and won't be swayed by argument. people become exasperated.

((i guess))

Idk, Brother...l know some Star Wars fans that would sock me if l dare talk ill of that universe.
I like you, man...and normally you're very laid back...lm just surprised this has gotten you this irritated.

We all have to do what we feel moved to do.
I'm stepping out.

I don't want to be around for how this ends. :)
God Bless, Bro.

you're right

maybe because i'm a mathematician, and this is all so readily solved with math. well, and physics, and astronomy too - people who know the most about a subject take the greatest offense to mischaracterization or error about it, and speak more passionately over it - likewise people who are passionate about a subject tend to become more knowledgeable in it.

yeah, again you see the same thing in the starwars forum. and here, people who know the most about the charismatic movement, or church history, or have the most fully formed eschatological views, or who have the most intimate understanding of various points of theology are often the ones who are the most zealous in threads full of debate on those issues.

so i guess i'm very outspoken and unapologetic in these threads because i know more math & science than the average forum member :: i am more passionate about math & physics than the average forum member

Please help me believe in the globe again.

Why has the position of the stars and corresponding "zodiac", not changed throughout human history despite all factors having an independent path in this massive universe? Light years are not an explanation for this.

Why are the pyramids and other ancient structures still near perfectly aligned with sun and stars?

Seems impossible to me on a globe earth, and these arguments are two of my pillars of faith in the flat earth theory.

has a flat earther explained what difference all this would make? if we all wake up tomorrow, the world is proven flat, what changes?
No more big bang.

No more evolution.

No more New World Order.

No more wasting billions of tax-payer money every year to support the biggest fraud in history.

No more blindly following the governments and politicians of the world who propel that fraud.

God becomes very real to the masses of the Earth.

Satan becomes very real to the masses of the Earth.

The reality of the occult presence on the Earth becomes very real to the masses of the Earth.

People start actually thinking for themselves - instead of just swallowing what the 'elite' spoon-feeds them.

Need I say more?

i dont get what it has to do with theology?
Keep reading the above list - over and over - until the light bulb goes on... ;)

Forget about you, what if an atheist began to believe in the flat earth theory? How do they deny a living God?

No more accidents, smart monkeys, and aliens. And their science heroes become liars, while Christ remains The Truth. This is what happened to me.

It was a popular concept in the past. However, it can be proven using a variety of approaches such as observing from a mountain, you can see the curvature of the Earth or traveling by air on a worldwide trip. You can really see the Earth's shape. Particularly beautiful on a Summer's day. Also, a 12-hour photographic exposure on the stars at night will reveal circular photon trails so it can be assumed that the stars are travelling around us or the earth is rotating. Reminds me of an account of Galileo who had used his telescopic invention to assist him in stock-market investments. The prices rose or fell dependent upon which boat came into port first. Based on the fact that nobody knew which boat would come in first. Galileo would use his telescope from on a high point to determine which boat was coming into port by identifying the merchants flag on the mast. The mast was seen before the rest of the ship because of the earth's curvature.

And, are the most likely to suffer cognitive dissonance - not wanting to believe they could possibly have swallowed such a big lie. What if - just what if - tomorrow - you discover that you have most certainly indeed swallowed such a lie?

The greatest offense taken is knowing that the whole world system has lied to us all of our lives -- erroneously mischaracterizing the true nature of God's creation. This is the painfully obvious central truth - and, constant reminder - of the whole Flat Earth perspective.

Can you possibly identify with this - from a human perspective?

Oh yeah -- I forgot about aliens. I meant to make mention of how impossible it becomes to believe in aliens when you know that the Earth is flat and you live under a dome...

( Which relegates "outer space" to science fiction. )

Thanks, pckts!

Previously encountered the answers. The alignments of both cases had shifted from when they were previously conceived. he Sun is a centralized object with recognized movement in this our sky which is, as you know, how they were able to define winter/summer Solstices.

I'm of the opinion that it's fine to believe the 2D earth theory.

Okay well my mind is just blown here. I had no idea so many people believed this...
Can someone explain to me the basic idea or would it be too difficult?

The most adamant of non-believers will say to me, "Do you realize how many planets are out there?, What are the odds we are the only life?"

Couple those "Stats" with the government promoting aliens while simultaneously pretending to hide their existence, you have some very confused children of God.

Notice the curve of the atmosphere? Also, a 2D object (which as far as I'm aware is impossible in the spacetime manifold) would have a hard 180 degree edge to reach the underside. Sailors originally thought they would fall off. Anyhow, seeing as you're interested in 2D physics, you should be studying the holographic principle as error-free manipulating atoms are impossible in every other scientific model of the universe.
