Car Junk
The nugget there beneath her feet,
The French fries shrivled on his seat,
They munched before we drove through town,
To meet a new friend we had found
The M&Ms both here and there,
And scattered mostly everywhere,
Was such a special little treat,
For sitting still upon her seat,
As they drew labs from tiny veins,
That caused her many bigger pains.
That oyster knife and sandy floor,
Doesn't annoy me anymore,
Because instead I see the smile,
My daughter lost for quite awhile,
Her wheelchair upon the sand,
A clam shell gripped within her hand.
What others see as nasty stink,
And tell a mother how to think,
I smile kindly, walk on by,
Four children keep my spirit high.
While cleanliness is good to keep,
If you sow joy, that's what you reap.
