Have you tried to study it before. In the NT we are told of two judgments where people are judged for their works. In rev 20, the great white throne, in 2 cor 5, we have the judgment seat, where each mans works will be judged.

If we investigate, we see two types of judgemnets based on two entirely different greek words being used.

Revelation 20:13
The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.

In this Passage the greek word wiht the root Krino "ekrithesan" is used, this word speaks of a court of law. where judgment is passed down on a person who has been charged of a crime, A guilty or innocent verdict is pronounced, and judgment "krino" is passed as to what must be done to pay for the crime committed.

In this judgment

1. All the dead are delivered to God, Children of God are said they will be resurrected by him, not delivered to him, plus they were born agan so they are not dead but alive
2. All who participate in this judgment we are told are found guilty and punished.

the second judgement mentioned,

2 Corinthians 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

The greek word used here is the root Bema "bematos" and was used in reference to the raised seat of the judge who would reward the athletes with the reward they earned. Based on the work they did, and the result of that work. It is the reward Paul said he continued to run the race for. It is the reward Paul said earlier where we will be tried by fire, if our work endure it will be given gols silver precious stone, but if it is bured we suffer loss, But we ourselves will still be saved,

1. Everyone here is here to recieve reward or lack of for all the work he did while children of God
2. All here are saved, even at the end, and not delivered to judgment.
And speaking of Christian theories, (because we all have them), Revelation is a different read to me then some/most. I see it as a book specifically written to people right smack dab in the beginning of the Great Tribulation -- a mounted effort to destroy Christianity one believer at a time.

I'm fully aware very few agree with my theory. I even know I can be just as wrong as the next guy in that belief, however, because I believe that I see it as a grand book of God telling his kids back then, and then reminding his kids now and in the future, that ultimately he is victorious no matter how it seems at the moment. Trust him. He's the doer and in his doing, he's the one who gets it all done. All he asks is for us to hold on while he holds on to us.

And it helps to know, the only thing I want out of heaven is to see God glorified forever. To glorify God forever in the way I was designed to. I don't care if I get a front seat at the banquet table. (I can't see me doing that, so, not really in this for that.) I don't care if I get a mansion or a shack. I can't see me hanging in either if it means I'm not face-to-face with him. I just want to be part of the eternal worship session, finally able to no longer long, but to be there with him constantly and giving him what he's due.

the amasing thing, is if you are saved (not saying you are not) then all those things will happen You will see him as he is, and he will tell you your real name, and he will show you to his house,

Thats guaranteed, Not because your worthy, or I am worthy, But because he is worthy. And he paid the ultimate price for that, Not because again we are worthy, But because he loved us, and sent his son to die for us, so we could have all he desires to give us for all eternity.

ps, I will be on one of the back tables also.. and will be very happy that I am even there..

Even in threads complaining about the BDF they still start an argument here. They miss it every time.

Romans 14:

10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

Even born again believers will stand to give an account ...

We will not be judged worthy of salvation because of any works we have done. But we will give an account ...
Agreed.
As long as you agree that works are necessary, as Jesus said to do them...
What works are necessary and for what are the works necessary?

I know. And if we go allllll the way back to Genesis 1, we see:

Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

So we have –

no form [Hebrew tohu which means formlessness, emptiness]

void [Hebrew wā-ḇō-hū which means emptiness, void, vacuity]

darkness [Hebrew wə·ḥō·šeḵ which means darkness, obscurity]

Then in Genesis 1:3, God spoke Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night.

This is what God did on Day 1. He caused the Light to break forth. God separated the light from the darkness.

When Jesus Christ came, He came To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace (Luke 1:79).

In Ephesians 5:8 we are told For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light. Before we were born again, we were darkness but we were made light in the Lord.

In Ephesians 5:11 we are instructed to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness. We are not to share in or partake in or participate in those unfruitful works.

Romans 13:12 tells us to cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

There really is a lot to this separation of light from darkness which God reveals waayyy back in the beginning on Day 1 ...

What biblical verses do you base that on Allen? And how does this post advance the cause of Christ?
2 Timothy 2:3-4;
"Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian affairs-he wants to please his commanding officer".

So who is your commanding officer?
Some man that wears a uniform belonging to the world?
Or is it Jesus Christ?

2 Corinthians 5:20;
"We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us".

What is an ambassador?
Isn't it someone who represents a certain country?
What country do you represent?
The United States or the Kingdom of God?
Where is your allegiance?

I've been in war.
I'm a disabled veteran.
I don't know anyone who died to protect someone back home.

Yeah...those verses yanked out of context have nothing to do with your claim.....David said clearly that God had taught his hands how to war and the whole book of Joshua is about war and conquest as decreed by God....

Paul's instruction to Timothy, Jude's instruction to contend for the faith, Paul's instruction to the church at Ephesus and the whole armor of God makes it clear that we ARE in a SPIRITUAL war......and at the end of the day....one can serve in the military, any civilian job, and even be retired and still be a faithful servant of GOD....The bolded is irrelevant to your post about EG avatar.......

and his avatar said nothing of defending someone back home, but rather that the American soldier died for your freedom....

Kudos to your service, but I still think your post was just a personal dig and at the end of the day had no purpose other than to cut......

Having said that.....the last few days I have tried to keep my mouth shut, not mouth, call people cake takers and or pounce with dig for dig.......I would hope you would rise above it as well!

Well, first of all, I am not an Old Testament Christian.
Jesus gave a new way.
It would be good for you to learn that.
the New Testament way is a way of peace, and I understand worldly men of war have a difficult time grasping that.
so, I'll be nice to you and just let it go.
I'm not as bad as you think.

That's funny bro...because I am the first to point out that Jesus was born, lived and died under the LAW which ratified the New Covenant...remember the Roman Soldier...<---JESUS said he had not seen such faith.........a soldier can serve God and be as faithful as any man and in the case mentioned here...had MORE faith than ALL in Israel.....just saying......

I keep starting a post, then think better, it is really not worth it,

he can not hurt me, if he really served, praise God, but I have no respect for him

although I gave 15 years of my life so he could be the way he is in freedom, and would do it again,

all he is doing is trying to get my goat, he will fail, all he is doing is making himself look bad,

I believe the gap theory and I also believe the word theory shouldn't be tacked on. Should be gap truth. :) Have you ever wondered why the earth was void with no form? And why light and darkness had to be separated? I've never heard an answer for the latter question.

I also believe that Adam and Eve "could" of been beings of Light..the image of God. There are teachings that prove the possibility but I don't know if there are any that prove it true firmly.

This is a subject that I love too. And is why I've read so much. Not all agree with these things though, and we probably won't know definitely until we are with Him. I have lots of questions. lol

I had a picture of His Light one time though...it was such pure light...no casting of shadow...golden light that one could see through..had substance yet seemed not to.

Hard to describe with my own words.

Not to argue, not worth it,

why was the earth void and without form? It was in its original state, before God formed it,

i love ths topic also, but hard to discuss it, especially in here, there are a few that make it unbearable

So what? You're acting like a little brother following his brother all the time and gabbing nonstop about anything. Aren't you a bit too old to act like this?

Do you even know what the topic is, or would you just like the spot light to continue your song and dance?

I cannot express how important Avatars are with regards to representing Christianity. It may be the one topic that triggers the apocalypse.

I love you too Depleted and I know you love me.
You wouldn't yell at me like this unless you loved me.

But I know what this is all about.
It's the Bible Discussion Forum.
And last night when I was challenged, I used Scripture to prove my point.
but the answer I got was "out of context" and Scripture was never discussed.
Isn't that what this is about?
People using the Bible discussion forum to argue and tell people how wrong they are but never use Scripture to prove their point?
Maybe you've lost sight of that as well, or maybe your allegiance to old friends is stronger than the good of the BDF.

Which brings up the question, "why are you complaining"?

Are you ever nice???

You have, like, a twin sister on these threads.
Like, are you two in a club or something?

It would be nice if you acted like the §Christian person you say you are.

As far as spot lights go, who wants one more than you???

You scolded me for taking attention away from what YOU wanted to say.

Very unhospitable.

But I'll be coming back every now and then to see what's going on.

They should make YOU the administrator around here.

This site would close down in a week's time ...

This is NOT a Bible Discussion Forum.

It's a place where persons of like-mind get together and form a club.
Or maybe they're already members of a club.

Others do NOT feel very welcomed when certain members start the thread.

Luckily, not everyone here is like this club and some here are very nice people.
I tend to stick to the nice people.

it would truly be nice to discuss the Bible in an adult and civil manner, but maybe not on THIS thread...

PS. 119:165.
Great Peace have they that Love Thy Law, and nothing shall offend them

HEB.13:20-21.
Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus,
that Great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

Make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well pleasing
in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
