Hi Katy.....Are you arguing with yourself again?lol

If you want to find out about the Catholic Church from the beginning, David Hunt has done a lot of research... there are one or two things I see as wrong but the rest of it is dead on......... The name of the book is "The Woman Rides the Beast". They have it on E-kindle through Amazon for a largely reduced price.

You are correct that Peter was not their first pope. In fact, he was never in Rome or was never a Bishop. If he had been, Paul A roman citizen would have spoken of him in those capacities, yet he did not.

Bladerunner...

This is the second time I've heard you mention this book and say that Peter was never in Rome.

How does the wrier know this? Could you explain please.

Was he in Rome back then, 2,000 years ago, and he knows this for certain since he disagrees with mostly all theologians.

I VISITED THE PRISON where Peter was held.
Could it be we were lied to all these years and only this person knows the truth?

Please explain a little bit. You cannot make a statement and then expect a person to go read the book.

Scott Hahn writes about some of the Covenants in A FAther Who Keeps His Promises.
GO READ THE BOOK.

See,,, this is wrong.

Please explain.

True,

I would go even further and say that RC doctrine is really a facade that covers something far more sinister and evil than we can even imagine.
iF you're going to say something so sinister and evil, as you just did,

maybe you could enlighten us as TO WHAT...

since I don't have a good imagination...

If you cannot, don't make such horrid statements.

They're VERY clean from all those kisses.

WHY does it bother you so much that some persons want to express their love for God in their own way?

Do you think they love Peter?
Maybe they're just thanking him for promoting our faith?

I don't know why they do this... but, Quite Frankly Scarlett, I don't give a .....

What YOU SHOULD BE DOING... is loving your Brother Christians instead of showing hate for them.
Where am I showing hate? If people want to commit idolatry and kiss a statues feet and spread some herpes around with it, not my problem.
I wish them their best

The reference here is to the real Babylon.
It is to be taken literally.
Names are not used to protect the innocent.
AHA!!!
Babylon = Rome
only when it suits you???

Actually, most theologians have accepted that it meant Rome.

Could you look it up and let us know something?
This is the last I knew.

Babylon;

Genesis 10:10
2 Kings 25:13
Isaiah 14:4
Jeremiah 15:8 and 50:1
Daniel 4:29
1 Peter 5:13

These are all related passages
The Revelation passages are not included, they are symbolic, not literal.

I do believe they found Peter's bones in Rome. Under St. Peter's, which is how that Basilica got the name.

BTW, for anyone who cares...
A basilica is a Church where the Bishop precides.
The Pope is the Bishop of Rome.

Have they done a DNA on that, or should we take the Bishop's word for it
Is it infallable?

Well, actually, AW --- I'd rather go there to see him.

But it's not happening.
I have been there. (not to the top)
Seems like I've been everywhere...

What were we debating??
