12. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey the lusts thereof:

13. neither present your members unto sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves unto God, as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

14. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under law, but under grace. (Roman 6:12-14)

Notice that He means not to allow sin to have dominion over us. "Let not..." This coincides with Romans 6:1 We died to sin, how can we live in it any longer?

"If you sin willfully, there no longer remains a sacrifice for your sins."

Amen we are under grace!!!

6 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”
James 4:6

I stand amazed at all who cannot seem to quote Hebrews in context........the following verse is CONSTANTLY twisted by people to hang something on it that it does not say!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"If you sin willfully, there no longer remains a sacrifice for your sins." <------POST 3

Rom 6:13 Stop offering the parts of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness. Instead, offer yourselves to God as people who have been brought from death to life and the parts of your body as instruments of righteousness to God.

Rom 6:14 For sin will not have mastery over you, because you are not under Law but under grace.

The key thought is we have died with Jesus, and raised with Him. He is Lord of us, His Genesis has begun. A new creation man. Also known as the One New Man. We are of one Spirit. Holy.

Check this out with regards to Rom 6. Don't let the title throw you.

I listened to about 1/3 of it and will finish tomorrow. Man, he's a good teacher. I've never heard of him before. So simple and so clear. Everyone here should listen to this video.

Maybe then the body of Christ can begin to move as one and actually do the works of God in unity, and glorify our God!

Thanks for recommending!

woman caught in adultry, Jesus said "Go and sin no more"
simply put how did she become perfect in that instant. knowing human nature, i am sure she had a few bad days, maybe said or did something. but i am pretty sure when Jesus spoke, he had something else in mind

what did Jesus know about her that made him believe that she would sin no more

simple she had an experience with the Living Saviour, and he saved her.
she is never going to forget the day of her salvation, and who did it

Go and sin no more, its not humanly possible unless there is something more.

moses broke the law within moments of receiving the law, but he was still God's man

what is going on here, what did these people know that a lot of people today don't know.

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS AND YOU SHALL BE SAVED

We are actually born again into the Victory of the Cross of Jesus within our Spirit. It takes a while for our soul and mind to catch up. :D

I am willing to suggest this woman probably never committed the SIN of adultery again in her life. Other SIN? most assuredly...sin of adultery? probably not...

Did the woman really commit adultery here or was there something greater at work. The woman was not the only sinner standing there, was she?
