What a good prayer to ask for!
It will happen as you surrender more and more to the Holy Spirit's leading in your life. He is the One who reveals more of Jesus as you keep reading His word. As you study the scriptures, pause after a verse that speaks to your spirit, and wait upon the Lord for any thoughts He might give you about what you just read.

God has already decreed this, to open the eyes of the heart according to Paul's prayer in Ephesians 1:15ff (especially Ephesians 1:18) for all saints. This is also the sense of Matthew 11:25-30 for all His He calls unto Himself. Rest assured that if you are His He will answer your prayer.
