Not really. I'll break it down to the personal level.

Say you know two guys. Both drink heavily, cheat on their wife, drive like hellions, regularly shoplift, and lies.

One of them goes to church on Sunday and tries to look like an upstanding citizen.

The other just sins out in the open. He's just a self-actualized jerk. Honest about his dishonesty.

If you know both of these men as I described, chances are you'll prefer the second one because he doesn't lie about who he is.
i wouldnt befriend either of these people

hahaha

but id pray for both of them the same

There is a difference between lying and living a lie. You can lie to some and on some occasions, but still not live a lie.

Lying is an act to conceal a fact. So if the second person is not concealing a fact, how are they a liar?

In the same vein, no politician deserves absolute or unconditional loyalty.

That would be the apex of foolishness.

I'm intrigued.
How is the man living a lie, if he never conceals his activities?

That's my point.

Those who live a lie hide under a cloak of false righteousness.

A lot of people are saying this is discrimination but I don't think this is the case. Apparently transgenders have a 61% suicide rate so it's an issue of being mentally fit to serve. It's not discrimination

I'm sorry, but this is how sick and twisted our society has become. I had an uncle, and know of several others, who were rejected to serve in the military because of issues as minor as having flat feet!

Now some are saying that it unfair and wrong to deny guys that want to have a sex change?

These are mentally ill individuals, and should be treated as such.

I had HUGE reservations about voting for President Trump, and I still think he can be a total boor, but I could not be happier with what he has done in his 1st 6 months. The ONLY thing holding back MASSIVE changes for the good are the feckless, cowardly Republicans in congress! Unfortunately, we have no choice but to continue voting GOP. The REAL vote to get these cowards out happens in the primaries.

Again, why was the Pentagon surprised if the meeting with the generals took place? Also, who fired people via tweet?

Mattis was talking about reversing the policy not long ago, and he runs the Pentagon.

So when he claims to have no need of forgiveness, or that he's the best POTUS ever, or that he has no conflicts of interest...

I just Googled it and according to USA Today, 41% of transgenders have attempted suicide. So I was off by 20%.
Consider the fact that transgenders are 1% of the population. So 41% of a 1% demographic has at least attempted suicide. That's an astronomical figure

For those of you who think that the president didn't discuss this action with his Generals, do you know what he discussed with them during his visits to the Pentagon on Jan 27, or July 20? Do you know what he discusses in his regular meetings with the JCS and his civilian military leaders? I don't, but my experience working with admirals in the Navy, I don't doubt that his ban reflects their request.

Well apparently he never mentioned it to his coworkers because even though this is an HR person's nightmare and will influence every person in the Pentagon, a spokesmen said the tweet was the first they heard of it. Not even a "If the press contacts you about transgender, say..." If the spokesperson hadn't seen the tweet, the response could have been "What ban?" Sound like something an sane government department would allow to happen when about to face a controversial policy change? The place I work for, which is just a financial services college/publisher would never dream of leaving it's employees so unprepared! Everyone, not just those likely to deal with the public on important issues was given at least a basic concept of the DOL as soon as we found out changes could be made. But the Pentagon left it's employees with absolutely nothing? So how many generals other than Mattis were consulted? Because clearly none of them were wise enough to warn the PR department. Which suggests not many (If any) others.

Pentagon and Trump don't appear coordinated on military transgender ban - Business Insider
