My brother use to manage a fast food joint. His photos were just as nasty... The amount of food that's prepared and sold doesn't move big wigs to pay extra for proper cleaning time.. You basically clean as you go during Operation hours. There is no separate crew or time.

I get Dairy Queen and A&W mixed up... I wanted an A&W burger one day and went to DQ instead, not realizing my mistake, and the drink they served me was terrible, I could not consume it due to the fact that it tasted like mold/mildew, and when I finally got their attention to inform them of that fact, they said, oh, they knew what the problem was and someone would clean the machine at some point in the future, and they did not even offer me a replacement drink. The burger was not very good either, and the onion rings were dry and tasteless, but still sometimes I say DQ when I mean A&W LOL
Everytime you eat out you take a chance...a guy in Arkansas got mad at the owner of a Taco Bell and defacated in the refried beans...about 40 people got sick as dogs with Salmonella.....he got arrested for assault.....nasty......

The older I get, the more likely I am to just eat at home.

It's cleaner and often tastes better.

Especially now that grocery stores are selling stuff past due.

The other day I got a decent loaf of bread for $ 0.50
Before my daughter got her dog (who just turned two :D... the dog, not my daughter, who just turned 31 :)) we used to shop at what we call the stupid store (Super Store) quite regularly, where she was always scoping out the deals, which used to be fifty percent off something that had reached to due date, or where the due date was tomorrow, but then they reduced the savings to 33%, which seemed a bit of a rip. They produce the President's Choice brand name, and are also known as Loblaws. They have some high end stores as well as really cheap outlets like No Frills. Amazing how much you can save on a regularly bought item if you compare prices. The high end store will match the no frills price also if you are aware of it. You really have to pay attention at the till too, because they do not always have everything properly entered into the computer pricing data base, so they will ring sale items in at the wrong price, or miss the mark down sticker.

Here is a couple of pics my daughter's dog :D

We used to have a day old bread store. I think that day old meant one day after expiration date. They cleared the shelves at the end of every day and bagged everything left in large bags and sold it as animal food for a dollar a bag. You had to sign a statement that was what you were using it for. I think that a large animal food company now buys it at the bread maker's dock.

A half teaspoon of water in the bag, 30 seconds in the microwave and that day old bread was as good as fresh baked.
