I've listed many verses that show salvation can be lost.

YOU say that Jesus promises to keep us.

Could you list some verses where Jesus makes this promise to keep us NO MATTER WHAT.

Where JESUS says He promises to keep us no matter what.
I like to go by what JESUS said since HE IS GOD.

If you're going to list John 6:29 I then ask you to please explain to everyone here what the word BELIEVE means.
Thanks.
I think I've already answered this in my last post here.

Faith alone, not saved by works, when a person confesses Christ, for that is all they can do being fleshy.

Faith without works is dead, and a person is justified by works, and not faith alone, after they receive the Spirit, for then they are spiritual, and responsibility falls on them to keep right, for the Spirit will not twist their arm to live for God,and work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

2Ti 3:4 lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2Ti 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Jesus did His job of the cross, and providing salvation for mankind, and when a person receives the Spirit then the responsibility falls on them to be led of the Spirit, which the Spirit will not lead anybody unless they hate sin,and do not want sin.

Jesus did His job of providing salvation, and when a person receives the Spirit,Jesus will help them to be like Him,but the action comes from the person first before the Spirit can act and help them not to sin.

The responsibility is on us,for the action comes from us first, not to want to sin,and do works, before the Spirit will act to help us to do those things, for if it came from the Spirit first, and no participation on our part, then we would not ever sin again, and always do works nothing wavering.

Some people act like they are led of the Spirit,no matter their lifestyle, and sin does not affect their relationship with God,but it is not true.

They do not harmonize scriptures, and understand there is conditions to confessing Christ, and faith, but want to say they can never fall, and faith alone, confess Christ alone,He does it all without their input, and they cannot see the Bible for what it is.

They interpret according to the flesh, like an occultist will interpret the Bible as such, and the Muslim will interpret the Bible as such.

The man Christ Jesus had to do what was right, and we as a human have to do what is right, for we have the same power available to us,the Holy Spirit, and there is no excuse.

That is why the Son is the judge of the world, for He obtained salvation, and went to heaven,so no person has an excuse why they could not make it,so the world is judged by the standard of the man Christ Jesus, and if you do not live up to that standard then there is no salvation.

The saints shall judge the world for they made it to heaven,so the world has no excuse, but if the saints cannot abstain from sin,and sin does not affect their relationship with God,then how are they judging the world on their sins.

Do not hold unto sin,and help the poor and needy, and not go by your wants, which many that believe OSAS fall victim to that, even heaping millions of dollars to themselves, which the Bible says the love of God does not dwell in them.

2Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

1Co 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

Heb 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
Heb 3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

1Jn 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

Rom 11:21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
Rom 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

1Jn 3:17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

1Ti 6:5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
1Ti 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
1Ti 6:7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
1Ti 6:8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

as 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
Jas 2:15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
Jas 2:16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
Jas 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
Jas 2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

This is a salvation issue, for if they have the means to feed and clothe the poor and needy, and they do not do it,then the love of God does not dwell in them, and if they do not do the works of the Spirit then they do not have a good standing with God,for they are being disobedient.

Rev 2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
Rev 2:5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

Rev 3:2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
Rev 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

2Co 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
2Co 10:6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

But there are many that believe OSAS that talk of the material things they have, and money, and talking vacations, spending money on their wants, and wordly things, all they while think they are saved, and that is a popular lifestyle among many of them, but the love of God does not dwell in them, and they have erred from the faith, and their faith is dead.

Enjoying fleshy pleasures that war against the soul, all the while think they are alright.

They have a form of godliness, but deny the power thereof, ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

They do not get it,and cannot see that there is conditions to confessing Christ, and faith, not understanding the responsibility, but see it according to the flesh, they cannot fall, they cannot abstain from sin,and sin does not affect their relationship with God,which they will hold unto sin,and be in to money, and material things, and worldliness, because of their beliefs.

Some interpret scriptures according to the Spirit, and some according to the flesh, and many are called but few are chosen, which is why not everyone that says Lord, will enter heaven, and why not, because they thought sin did not affect their relationship with Jesus,so they were workers of iniquity.

No person says Jesus is Lord, but by the Holy Ghost, and those that confess Jesus Christ is come in flesh is of God,and Peter said to Christ, you are the Christ,Son of the living God,so if a person believes those things then God is working in their life,so if OSAS says they were chosen, then people that believe those things concerning Jesus, that say faith without works is dead, and a person is justified by works and not faith alone, and sin does affect their relationship with God,then they must of been chosen too.

But many are called but few are chosen, and the ones not chosen could not understsand that there are conditions to confessing Christ, and faith, but they have been called, and can correct themselves if they realize the truth.

The Bible says God calls things that have not happened yet,as though they already happened, for if it is a plan of God to happen in the future,it is the same as if it happened in the beginning, for it will surely come to pass with no hindrances.

The Lamb was slain from the foundation of the world, but in reality it was future.

Prophets blood shed from the foundation of the world, but it was future.

God wants all people to repent, come to the knowledge of the truth, and be saved, and the Spirit and bride say, whosoever will can have that salvation, and Jesus is the Savior of the world, that takes away the sins of the world, and lights every person that is born in to this world.

God had the plan to give mankind salvation before He laid down the foundation of the world,so it is the same as if the saints have salvation in the beginning, and that salvation is to whoever wants it.

To say that God chooses who will be saved, and not saved, without input from the people is to say God's kingdom is not love, because those that were chosen have no choice but to love God,seeing no other alternative, then it is not true love, and God is not evil that He would condemn people that have no choice in the matter, especially when all are sinners, and come short of the glory of God,there is none that does good,no,not one,and our righteousness is as filthy rags, and Jesus said Mary is the same as all the saints, and not better.

Why would they be chosen above other people.

No person comes to the Son unless the Father draws them, and many are called but few are chosen.

No person can come to the truth unless the Father works in their life to get them to the truth, but when they get to the door they must make the final push through it,which going through the door means receiving the Spirit, and realizing that sin does affect their relationship with God,and they have to hate sin,and not want sin,and allow the Spirit to lead them to do such.

God gets the glory for us being saved, for no person can get to the door unless the Father brought them there, but they have to make the final push through the door to get chosen.

Many are called but few are chosen, because not all make that push through the door, for they want to hold unto sin,and be worldly, and think they are right with God.

Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully(hold unto sin)after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins(the blood of Jesus cannot take it away, and it is on their record),
Heb 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

2Pe 2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
2Pe 2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
2Pe 2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

1Sa 15:22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
1Sa 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

2Co 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
2Co 10:6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

Old Testament,New Testament,it is still obedience to God,for obedience is better than sacrifice, for if you do not have obedience then how does the sacrifice apply.

It is a lie sin does not affect a person's relationship with God,and they enjoy can money, and material things, worldliness, and fleshy pleasures, and still be right with God.

2Co 6:1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
2Co 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
2Co 6:3 Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed.

1Pe 2:11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
1Pe 2:12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

Well looky at this little tidbit of information,a needle in the haystack, and 4 leaf clover, and any other thing that is hard to find, for some that claim Christ cannot find it.

Mat 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Mat 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Cease from your sins, and hypocrisy, and do good works,so you do not give offense to the ministry, and the world that observes your Christlike lifystyle will glorify God in the day of visitation.

Preaching the Gospel is great, and has an impact, but displaying a Christlike lifestyle, and living the Gospel has a greater impact, along with preaching the Gospel.

Jas 1:21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
Jas 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

If they say they do not have to obey the law,and do not have to obey the commandments, and sin does not affect their relationship with God,and they do not have to be obedient to Christ, and they do not have to do works,it appears as if they are hearers of the word, and not doers of the word.
I really enjoyed that post, thank you MattforJesus...xox...

PLEASE explain what believe means.
In--- BELIEVE in the One whom He has sent...

Thanks.
It means to entrust your whole life into the hands of another. Like a woman marrying a man.

What do you say it is? Please answer! :)

What does that mean - the cross is not enough to save?
The cross was for the shedding of His blood, for forgiveness of sins.
No more sacrifice or blood is ever going to be necessary for the forgiveness of sins.
But the cross will not save some people.

As for his confusion over the Sabbath, it's hard to stay consistently walking in the spirit. Yeah, we do go back and forth some and begin toward an outward keeping rather than an inward keeping. We are not perfect in knowledge. We advance in stages. He tells us what we are able to bear at any given time. He knows when we are ready to bear more.

But a man has to follow his conscience or to him, the thing IS sin. If you think something is wrong and you do it anyway, it IS sin. So we need to make room for a mans weaker conscience. God will lead him.
Finally...

Someone who really understands the Word of God.

Walk trough the valley
I am gonna drop the whole "hyper grace" discussion G777 because I would rather talk about BIBLICAL GRACE

If they are the same thing, good, if not.,,,i would rather discuss the Light and not the darkness of lies and heresies expect to reveal what God actually teaches via the Bible.
Good morning Ariel, Yesterday evening at a praise and worship meting the Lord told me: Disarm the enemy. understood He is referring to what is happening here and in my own life as well.
This is the wisdom I received for what is happening here.
What your referring to as hipper Grace is Grace to be forgiven when there is no evidence of walking in the spirit.
I know that His Grace is sufficient to cover this, 11 years ago the Lord told me: Enter in as a little child and put away your divided spirit. I asked Him how old I was in spirit as a little child, He said 12, a few weeks later I was still in drug addiction and sin, He said: Come to my house I'M coming to My house. There was compassion in His voice and no blame. At this time I began to understand about Jesus at 12 years of age, the 3 days in the temple, about dying to his childhood to be in the Father's house: to do the will of the Father. A year later still falling into addiction and sin and repenting turning to the Lord for help, woke up hearing: This kind does not come out but by prayer and fasting. referring to: Enter in as a little child and put away your divided spirit.
John addresses 3 groups of Christians in 1 John 2:12 and said this twice because of it's importance. "I write to you little children because you are forgiven". Until we enter in and put away our divided spirit, we are not past ourselves and the striving and quarrelling of living after ourselves and questionable whether we forgive and are forgiven. The struggle with addiction has to do with unresolved anger and self pity. it was a 10 year journey from the time He called me in the backslidden stat.
The second group that John addresses have learned to love children but neither have they the best recommendation, of being strong and knowing the word of God and having overcome the evil one. Most of us here are in these 2 groups and need to walk in the Light that we have to get more Light. The Last group are those who have finished their course. Those who will rule with Him, the rest of the dead are not raised until the 1000 years is finished. I admire your patience at being misunderstood here and cheer you on.

Sweep your own house pal.....and remove the beam that protrudes from your eyes and then come worry about mine.....you rip people way more than I do.......!
The above is to Stephen.

I'd say his house is swept.
The beam is removed from his eye.
He does not rip people.
And he speaks the truth to you.

It's like we play with words some days.

I have heard some people prefer the word "convince" instead of "convict" because they don't like image of prison clothes.
Ariel, the REAL reason folks don't like the word "convict" has little to do with prison.

I can go to court & be convicted for reckless driving, but I won't go to prison for it.

It's what's next after conviction if we don't repent. Sentencing. Judgment.

Sentencing for reckless driving will be a hefty fine & my name put in the paper.

Sentencing for spiritual crimes means "found guilty" & will be judged, unless the guilty repents.

Sometimes we still have to pay for sin even when we ask forgiveness.

A good example would be sexual immorality with a juvenile. We can get forgiveness, but still pay for the crime.

Easy believeism participants can't be held accountable for their sins, for they don't matter anymore, so they say.

So they can't be convicted of sin, because that requires sentencing from God if they don't repent.

Whether they're sentenced or not, they are found guilty of their sin, & have to answer to God for it.

Easy believists can't stand the thought of being found guilty & answering to God for anything, because they're rebelling from God with their attitude.

Haven't you noticed hypergracers, easy believeists, & OSAS'ers aren't accountable & don't answer to God for
any sin?!?

Grace is grace...it is divine, out bounds our sin, saves us/allows for salvation, is matchless and like I showed you yesterday, which you rejected it is a place of positioning for the believer....it is where we now STAND because of faith and salvation.......
Please provide a verse where JESUS says that we are positionally saved.

As usual, you won't be able to.

BECAUSE IT DOESN'T EXIST.

JESUS spoke about reality ---
NOT "positioning" or "positional" or whatever it is that's been invented by you.

Remember, I said WHAT JESUS SAID about it.

JESUS is the Word, not anyone else who may not agree with HIM.

And I will say once more.....PAUL, who was INSPIRED, and YOU are not by the way.....said.....FAITH PLUS WORKS to finish SALVATION is false, double cursed, has no power and only FOOLS and BEWITCED believe such a lie......

The truth is quite the opposite...YOU do not believe the truth, but rather devalue the sacrifice, works and saving grace of Christ by INTERJECTING your self and your own works....

The MAIN characteristic of ALL those who are in the plenteous in number that gets casts from the presence of JESUS is two fold....

a. THEY claim to know JESUS
b. THEY boast of and push their works as the means of salvation/entry into the kingdom

You would think that the last two "a and b" would open your eyes......................
Here we go again.
Banishing me to hell.

YOU DO LOVE TO TALK ABOUT HELL AND SEND PEOPLE THERE.
Why is that? I just don't understand it. Really.

It must be because you LOVE people so much that you want to tell them the truth.
So, while LOVING THEM, you send them to hell.
That's some method of loving. I've never come across it before.
What do you do when you hate someone??

PAUL
PAUL
PAUL

Paul had to go study what Jesus said for 3 years and come up with some kind of explanation as to why He got crucified.
Great.

BUT JESUS DIDN'T HAVE TO STUDY WHAT JESUS SAID.

So, you see, when I have ANY DOUBT, I go to the SOURCE.

The SOURCE, is JESUS.

And HE was INSPIRED.

And while we're here, I'd like to remind you that I am not inspired, BUT NEITHER ARE YOU.

A primary preposition denoting (fixed) position (in place, time or state), and (by implication) instrumentality (medially or constructively), that is, a relation of rest (intermediate between G1519 and G1537); "in", at, (up-) on, by, etc.: - about, after, against, + almost, X altogether, among, X as, at, before, between, (here-) by (+ all means), for (. . . sake of), + give self wholly to, (here-) in (-to, -wardly), X mightily, (because) of, (up-) on, [open-] ly, X outwardly, one, X quickly, X shortly, [speedi-] ly, X that, X there (-in, -on), through (-out), (un-) to(-ward), under, when, where (-with), while, with (-in). Often used in compounds, with substantially the same import; rarely with verbs of motion, and then not to indicate direction, except (elliptically) by a separate (and different) prep.
Total KJV occurrences: 2720

So if you do a topical study on the words "in Him" and see it's fixed in each scripture...you may change your mind.

Sigh all you want.....the prodigal son is not about losing salvation, but rather squandering one's inheritance in this life by riotous living....he was a son through the whole process, was alive through the whole process, only perceived as dead through the whole process but indeed was very mush ALIVE and received as a son with a ring and a robe....you should take your working for rose colored glasses of religion off and view the bible through the eyes of faith!
Ummm.

WHO is wearing rose-colored glasses?????

Is it not YOU who claims WORKING FOR GOD is adding to Faith and thus not a good thing to do?

So if you believe in DOING NOTHING to please God,
I'd say that YOU are wearing the rose-colored glasses,

are spouting false doctrine
and are a false teacher, which the bible speaks of.

This idea of yours, which is called hyper-grace BTW, WAS NOT AROUND TILL RECENTLY.

So, I guess it took some really great theologians to come up with an idea THAT NEVER EXISTED BEFORE NOW.

Ignatius of Antioch
A disciple of John the Apostle
What might HE have to say?:

CHAP. X.--EXHORTATIONS TO PRAYER, HUMILITY, ETC.

And pray ye without ceasing in behalf of other men.

For there is in them hope of repentance that they may attain to God.

See,[2] then, that they be instructed by your works, if in no other way. Be ye meek in response to their wrath, humble in opposition to their boasting: to their blasphemies return[4] your prayers; in contrast to their error, be ye stedfast[5] in the faith; and for their cruelty, manifest your gentleness.

While we take care not to imitate their conduct, let us be found their brethren in all true kindness; and let us seek to be followers of the Lord (who ever more unjustly treated, more destitute, more condemned?), that so no plant of the devil may be found in you, but ye may remain in all holiness and sobriety in Jesus Christ, both with respect to the flesh and spirit.

Jesus sat with, ate with and associated with sinners, publicans and whores and was called a winebibber because he drank.....so....how does that fit your hard fast rule?
sitting with sinners is very different than sitting with Sadducee's....

Then don't mention my name in your post.
I'll mention your name as I wish.
Just like mine is mentioned all the time.

Go back and read my post again.
It's no. 22109.

See what I said about you.
Notice how "you" is referring to Dcon and not to you.

Then come back here and apologize, if you dare.

Jesus came here to save sinners.
He came for the sick, not for the healthy.

WE are not supposed to be hanging with sinners.
WE are not supposed to be unequally yoked.

I know some here only read CERTAIN PARTS OF THE BIBLE,
but maybe, just maybe, they know this...

I think maybe blinded by mans traditional sermons of the past may be more accurate Magenta. I'd really have to think about this one to see if you are correct in this.

However, I may be wrong. Just hope not.
Jesus called Peter Satan, but he was still saved, don't you think? Yet the pharisees, scribes, and law pushers Jesus called children of the devil. Surely we can see a difference.

Interesting concept...

Then why do I keep hearing about PAUL'S writings from your side of the isle and never the words of JESUS?

Your side seems UNABLE to quote ANYTHING of what Jesus said.

And I've stated many times as the the reason...

BECAUSE JESUS DOES NOT AGREE WITH YOU.

Excuse me

But I asked for verses with Jesus' words

NOT A GREEK LESSON.

If I want a lesson in Greek, I know where to go
and it won't be to YOU or a Greek lexicon...

How about some words of JESUS??

Are you all ALLERGIC TO HIM though you claim to worship Him??
