This is definitely strange

I've been closer to Christ than ever before as of late including dedicating my life to going back to school to become a preacher and I know God is happy with my direction. These strange things keep occurring that I've never quite experienced before for example we were taking a day trip to Baker, Oregon and on our way home I asked my wife to pull the car over because I could really feel the presence of God. I got a vision of the name of a church "Harvest Church" so I typed it into my smartphone and it turned out there was a Harvest Church not even 3 miles from us so I kindly asked my wife to put up with me and at least drive by the church and when we did the parking lot was almost completely full as they were having an event and prayer service so we went inside and we joined in their festivities for the night. I found it completely strange that God led me there but we took part and enjoyed worshiping God. Then I've had other visions and messages we drove to another city and I felt compelled to talk to this woman. I asked if she was okay and to know that God loves her and she broke out crying told me a story of losing her daughter and that just spending time with her and praying with her helped her greatly. I don't know what to think about what's going on with me because I've never really experienced this before. Can someone tell me if this is common? Should I feel blessed that God is giving me these opportunities? Please feel free to share and help me figure this out.
 
The Holy Spirit is working through you. You've been blessed to offer your wisdom and knowledge of Jesus Christ. It's wonderfully strange and beautiful. AMAZING grace! -student

It is good. I have seen miracle after miracle in this way. Jesus takes the lead and we follow! Had many many things like this. It is walking in the Lord and His ways. Sometimes the Lord directs us to help people. Other times He has us go places to keep us safe! Lots of ways the Lord leads.
Be encouraged. God is in control! Follow in the Lords ways...He is in charge!

Yes it is common when you truly start to walk as a child of God.. the more you go with it, being open to the Holy Spirit, the more opportunities and doors open, and the more testimonies you have like the ones you have been experiencing.
 
Sometimes when we get the enemies attention, we are targets of attack, but as true warriors we are armed and clad in protective armour!
Helmet of salvation.
Girdle (Belt) of truth.
Shoes of the preparation of the Gospel.
Shield of faith.
Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God.
 
I encourage you to use paragraphs and breaks. A wall of text I difficult for many to read.
 
pray to Know your Makers Voice, for there are many counterfeits just waiting for the un-experienced
in his ways,,,speaking here from lots of experience...
 
Have u receive the baptism of the holy spirit ? if yes ok, if no, ask for it . you have the spirit of discernment.you have to work for the word for the spirit to pefect your calling
