They're taught to say this and they repeat it incessantly, the old "you follow a man" statement. Well, the fact is they follow a woman, a false prophet named Ellen G. White. And do we follow traditions? Certainly we do -- 2 Thessalonians 2:15. Scripturally theses traditions are the orally given Word of God. That's another dagger to them as they place the writings of EGW above Scripture. Scripture must and does come under her lens of interpretation, writings that are contrary to and outside of Scripture. Yes, they "follow a woman."
Hi P4t,

Like I said to your friend, I follow no man, woman or church only the Word of God. You say you follow the traditions of God's Word (2Thess 2:15) but there is no scripture in the Word of God that says God's 7th Day Sabbath commandment has been replaced with Sunday worship. This is a teaching of man over the Word of God making the commandments of God of none effect (Matt 15:3; 7-11). If we knowingly break God's Law we are guilty before God of sin because sin is the transgression of God's Law (1John 3:4) and without repentance for sin are in danger of the Judgement.

If you followed the traditions of God's Word like you say, Jesus would be working His will in you and as you have faith in His Word you would be walking in the Spirit and through God's power in your life be fulfilling the righteousness of His Law being made free from sin (Rom 8:4; Heb 8:10-12). However, you break God's Law to follow the teachings and traditions of man over the Word of God. Sunday worship is a man made tradition that you follow over the Word of God making the commandment of God of none effect (Matt 15:3). God's Word says...

1John 2:3-4
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Isa 55:6-7,
Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

God bless

Yeah, I know, I've heard you talk about yourself enough. You are thoroughly deceived and in fact do follow a woman which is why Christ is never enough for folks like yourself.

Hello P4t,

Judge not that you are not judged. You do not know me. I know God loves me and I love Jesus because I have Faith in His Word and not because of what I have done but because of what he has done for me. I judge no man. He that rejects me, and receives not my words, hath one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak. I follow Jesus because I love him. Do you love Jesus P4t?

God bless

One of the truths regarding deception - is the fact that they are deceived and don't know it. Only the Holy Spirit can reveal Christ and all that He has already done to all of us.

Whenever Moses is read without looking at the finished and complete work of Christ and that everything in the Old Testament was a type or a shadow of the real thing which is Christ Himself - the reading of Moses which includes the 10 commandments no matter how the natural mind of man tries to separate them out - this causes a "veil" to be set over their minds and they can't see Christ for who He truly is and what He has already done.

They will give "lip-service" to the Lord Jesus Christ but in fact deny Him for their own law-keeping which is exchanging Christ Himself for the law of Moses.

Ironically in their attempt at the "keeping of the law" and their own reliance of "keeping it" - they are in fact breaking the intent of the 1st commandment in the first place.

So, you are saying that the apostles, who walked with Jesus throughout his ministry, and all who followed them were sinning against God when they met on the FIRST day of the week?

This was the practice of the earliest churches, and has been since.... it is very thoroughly documented, both in scripture, and in early secular historical writings..

It's difficult to believe the apostles missed out on the "correct" day......

Hi Friend,

It is only you here that makes any reference to keeping God's Law as a means of salvation and unfortunately this is a deliberate deception on your behalf. As many have already told you here that they do not believe this (myself included see post 22438 linked). I tell you the truth but you close your eyes because you do not know God's Word. You reject God's Word to follow your traditions. You are free to do what you will. I judge no one. God's Word will judge us all in the last days. Ok late my time nice talking to you.

God bless you

I and many others are "well aware" of what is really happening my friend.

If Christians do not follow the Sabbath as outlined in the Old Testament - are they sinning and dis-obeying God?

Manyt will come to Jesus and say Lord, Lord and He will respond, go away, I know you not.

Why is this? Because they say, with their lips they believe Him, but they do not hear His teaching,
and they do not do His Word.

When Jesus Christ teaches us to obey the commandmentsof God, He referes to His own Word.,
to Himself.

The do-nothing-grace onlys will say the law is obsolete. Jesus Christ teaches it will never be obsolete.

The do-nothings will say the law is on their hearts so they do not need to obey the commandments,
yet Jesus christ warns all in Revelation to do the commandments of God.

I suppose if the do-notings see their enmy's belongings they will not obey the law the instructs us to return it or care for it until they can return it because they have the law on their hearts.

The veil of Moses has darkened the eys of all who do not see and observe the remaining laws that will always be in effect as valid
because they cannotunderstand the threepoints stressed by Jesus Christ that must be applied when observing Hi commandments, faith, mercy, and justice. They do not see these points because they do notunderstand them

If a person says he is in the Holy Spirit's guidance and doesn not honor Godd, he is a liar, if that same does not honor his parents, he again is a liar , and so on down the line, he is a liar and only fooling himself while telling others he knows by
the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit does not tell us to be disobedient children again.

Do not bralspheme the HOly Spirit by saying the veil of Moses is on all who desire to please God in the best obedience possible for this lack ofknowledge of faith, mercy and justice in the law, as taught by Jesus Christ is a veil to them who say such.

The do nothings are the ones who keep seeing over 600 laws to be obeyed, and do not understand the grace contained in the love of God........yes, we can and do err, but our error is not imputed agains us......we know this., grace-only do-notings do not know.

Hebrews 8:13 (NASB)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] When He said, "A new covenant," He has made the first obsolete. But whatever is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to disappear.

Jesus has fulfilled the law - the law is a goner as far as the Christian goes.

Not one jot nor tittle will be done away with "until" all is fulfilled.

Matthew 5:17-18 (NASB)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.

[SUP]18 [/SUP]
"For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.

Those in Christ and Christ is in them - have died to the law, been released from the law and not under the law of Moses anymore but under the law/principle of Christ Himself. Rom 7:1-6

Going back to the law for life and living and relying on our "adherence" to the law is committing spiritual adultery on our Lord. We are saved by grace through faith in Christ's work on the cross and resurrection.

Hi hornetguy,

Nice to meet you. To your question about did the disciples break God's Sabbath? Absolutely not. Jesus and his disciples all kept God's 7th Day Sabbath according to God's commandment. If you are referring to a few scriptures that refer to the disciples having a meal together and collecting for the poor on the first day of the week, this is different to God's commandment (Ex 20:8-11). Many people do not realize it but the changing of God's 7th Day Sabbath to Sunday worship was officially sanctioned by the Roman Catholic church at the council of Laodicea in A.D. 364 (Strand, op. cit., citing Charles J. Hefele, A History of the Councils of the Church, 2 [Edinburgh, 1876] 316). Jesus and all the disciples kept God's 7th Day Sabbath according to the commandment.

Scripture support:

(1) Jesus taught us that the Sabbath was made for mankind and that mankind was not created for the Sabbath (Mark 2:27). Jesus came to teach us that

2) Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath and that this is the Lord's Day and NOT Sunday (Mark 2:28). Jesus came to

(3) Jesus taught us that it is ok to enjoy the Sabbath and to do good on the Sabbath (Matt 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14)

(4) Jesus taught and fellow shipped with his people on the Sabbath (Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56). Similar verses can be shown for the apostles after the death of Jesus (Acts 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4; Rev 1:10)

God bless

We Baptized of the Holy Spirit see, hear and understand by the Grace and Mercy of Heavenly Father.

We are to be patient with those yet to believe... we are repetitive for the Glory of GOD and the salvation of men.

We can not bury our treasure because we were given it freely and must share it freely....

We labour in love and know not who is to be pointed to the Good Shepherd's voice by our witness.

im humbled to see so many coming to the Truth by the Grace of GOD.

If anyone says he believe Jesus Christ after hearing Jesus Christ teach on the commandments and law
and how they should be obeyed believes there are yet 613 laws to obey, he has not heard a word
our blessed Savior has said, nor has he understood by His example.

He does not see which laws have been fulfilled. He has not understood the fulfillment of thw prophets by Christ, and he has not understood what obedience is and how it co-exists with grace. It is our faith that estabisehes teh law..Paul.

Jesus was Jewish and He was born under the law "so that" He could redeem those under the law.

Of course Jesus followed the law of Moses - how do you think we got free from the law?

Gentiles were never under the law of Moses and neither are Christians.

Galatians 4:4-5 (NASB)
[SUP]4 [/SUP] But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law,

[SUP]5 [/SUP] so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

It is interesting that Paul went on to say this:

Galatians 4:10-11 (NASB)
[SUP]10 [/SUP] You observe days and months and seasons and years.

[SUP]11 [/SUP] I fear for you, that perhaps I have labored over you in vain.

The law was until the "seed" should come. The seed being Jesus Himself and we too are the "seed" because we are in Him.

Galatians 3:19 (NASB)
[SUP]19 [/SUP]Whythe Law then? It was added because of transgressions, having been ordained through angels by the agency of a mediator, until the seed would come to whom the promise had been made.

Galatians 3:21-26 (NASB)
[SUP]21 [/SUP] Is the Law then contrary to the promises of God? May it never be! For if a law had been given which was able to impart life, then righteousness would indeed have been based on law.

[SUP]22 [/SUP] But the Scripture has shut up everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

[SUP]23 [/SUP] But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, being shut up to the faith which was later to be revealed.

[SUP]24 [/SUP] Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith.

[SUP]25 [/SUP] But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.

[SUP]26 [/SUP] For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

The Lord of the Sabbath said we are to keep the Commandments even to the least..

Yes Jesus is Jewish, and so are all who belive HIm. We are no longer gentiles when we call upon His name for our salvation. We become fellow heirs to the Kingdom. The pivotal word there is "fellow" heris to the Kingdom. Do you not believe what is written in the Word, in the Epistles?

The Gospel Jesus Christ gave to Abraham, the Jews upon His coming, and to the gentiles does not waver nor does it differ. What kind of truth do you believe God has given His people? One for each group? Do you not see the error of thinkingJesus being a Jew makes any difference in the Godpel of salvation He has given to all? Are you say a Jew is saved differently from a gentile?

Next you will be teaching there is a ehaven for Jews and another for gentiles. Gentiles are converted to the faith of f Abraham, or have you never read this from the Word?

I definitely love the Lord Jesus Christ and will not replace Him for the law of Moses. That's idolatry and committing spiritual adultery on Him.

Do you love God? If so - why don't you stone those that don't keep the Sabbath as outlined in the law of Moses?

The Lord of the Sabbath said to "believe in Me". Do you believe in Jesus? Do you love Jesus? Why don't you believe Him when He said.

"All the law and the prophets speak of Me."

If you love Jesus - why do you replace Christ and His work for a carnal keeping of a law that you have died to, been released from and not under anymore? Rom. 7:1-6

And the commandments in the New Covenant are these:

1 John 3:23 (NASB)
[SUP]23 [/SUP] This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.

Depending on the life of Christ in us will fulfill all the intent of the law.

If all the law, that is all the law as taught by Jesus christ, is contained in the two great laws of love.

(Now hear this) If all the law is contained in love, the law is there to be obedyed in love, of the Father and of all mankind.

If all the law did not hang on love, it simply would not be necessary to be present with love, because love without obedience to what it contains is nothing...... Relationship2.jpg

Paul who knew the law better then anyone had this to say about the purpose of the law.

The purpose of the law was :

1) To reveal our sinful state - Rom 3:20

2) To inflame sin - Rom 7:8

3) To minister death in us - Rom 7:10-11

4) To lead us to Christ - Gal 3:24

The law is good, holy and spiritual but we are in the flesh. Jesus fulfilled all the law!
When we read the law we should be seeing Jesus in it. Jesus did not save us so that we could go back to the law.

The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus is how we live now, and the law of liberty in Christ Jesus and the law of love, the law of faith ( the Law is NOT of faith - the just shall live by faith ). The law of Christ - Himself is how we live now.

But the purpose of the law was not for righteousness or salvation at all, it was to manifest sin in our lives, so that the purpose of grace which is in Jesus is to manifest salvation. Grace does not set aside the law, but completely satisfied it.

Christians are dead to the Law, been released from the Law and are NOT under the Law. It can't get any plainer than that.

People are free to do whatever they want in relation to the Law - it does not make one righteous nor is it for salvation.

If someone wants to observe a particular day , festivals or eat or not eat some kinds of foods..etc - then they are free to do so.
These have no bearing on one's salvation or righteousness as all that is based on the finished work of Christ.

It's where people are saying "You must observe these things or do these things in the Law or you are not obeying God and are sinning" - that's where the twisting comes in and it is a perversion of the gospel of the grace of Christ.

This is an anti-Christ belief system religion which has the "appearance" of good but it is really denying the Lord Jesus Christ's finished work. Hebrews 4:10

And guess what! All of those Jews Christ preached to were of Judah. If you knew what Judah translates as you would know Abraham was a true Jew without the rabbinical teachings getting in the way of his faith, just as all who believe Jesus christ are Jews, or Hahudah by translation.

No one need know the translation if he is a true praiser of Yahweh, God. Do not hear if you cannot, do not see if you see not. It is not as though it has not been said by Jesus.

And guess what? Abraham was never Jewish. Yes, we have the faith of Abraham and Abraham never lived under the law of Moses.
