The bible refutes your view.....take it up with God.......and to be frank...your mouthy remarks are getting old. No one can dialogue with you because....

a. You think you know it all
b. You think you know it all
c. You think you know it all
d. Your mouth needs to learn some discipline.....

Don't even talk to me anymore man...every time I try you engage you, you come back with idiocy like the above bolded....

DAVID speaks of HIS SALVATION in the present TENSE
JOB speaks of knowing HIS REDEEMER LIVES and HE WILL SEE HIM WITH HIS OWN EYES <--proof of understanding the resurrection.

When you can be honest with verses given instead of being mouthy and disrespectful then address me...until then...like EG...just ignore me please!
So no shedding of blood for the forgiveness of Sin is required in your Gospel....got it thanks.....

Sorry friend...I truly don't understand what point you are tying to make. I am really trying to understand, but I seem to be missing the point of your argument / statement.

I am not saying that angels are less loved. I am basically saying that Satan had his chance and he blew it. There will be no salvation, love or chastening for him. He rejected God after witnessing His majesty first hand and in doing so "sealed his fate".
understand this then 200 hundred thousand thousand horseman where described as angels.. so there must be some resemblence to mankind

Revelation 9:16King James Version (KJV)

16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.

It was belief, it was not faith, HUGE difference
Believe and faith is the same.

If I BELIEVE that you will drive me to my job...

I have FAITH that you will drive me to my job...

If I BELIEVE in Jesus...
I have FAITH in Jesus...

Believe and faith is the same.

wrong, belief just means mental ascent, if you have faith, you are assured or trust, whicj is much deeper than belief

I believe you are fran, does not mean i trust you at all

I believed Obama was my president, I had no faith in him at all,

I can believe in jesus, does not mean i trust him at all.

as james said, you believe you do well, even demons believe, but if your faith is dead, your belief means nothing

And, alas, herein lies part of the problem.

If you can state that BELIEVE and FAITH is diffferent, thus you come to incorrect conclusions.

It's apparent that many here do not know what BELIEVE means even though I've been talking about it for at least two months now.

Know why?

It does not suit your belief system to understand what BELIEVE means.

It's not up to me to convince you. That's not why I'm here.

I listed the meanings. If you cannot even believe those, what's left to say?

I tend to believe what Jesus says.
If HE said that the seeds in the parable of the sower heard with JOY,
yet he had no firm root
but was only TEMPORARY
and when affliction or persecution came
because of the word
IMMEDIATELY he FALLS AWAY.

There is a price to be paid for being in the Kingdom of God.
Some are not willing to accept this.
So what do they do...?

1. When trouble comes along, they FALL AWAY.

2. They make a doctrine of easy believism.
They tell themselves that NOTHING is required of them --- only believe.

Too bad they don't know what believe means to God.
Too bad they aren't willing to pay the price for staying in the Kingdom.

I tried this sort of thing pages back and it went over like a lead balloon

sometimes you can only use 3/4 of your brain cells in these threads

that way, you have a slight chance of connecting

and by the way, I will absolutely use plausible deniability regarding the above

I have learned that we have at least 2 brains and 2 or more hearts from reading this thread. I also have learned we think with our hearts and put our brains to bed when we use the Bible to mean what we want it to mean

morning bro yup quite often when people deceive the word of God they often slip up right here just like when he said he has had enough of your crap meaning you speak crap and he doesnt..

also meaning he cant handle correction either or his lies being brought to the service..
True, many today cannot discern the difference between real truth spoken in love, reproving, rebuking, correcting and admonishing, from actual hatred, lies, slander, strife, malice, anger and real false accusations......funny they talk about EPh 6.10-18, but cannot not understand EPh 6.12...we never wrestle with the person...

We see this kind of behavior with people who are prematurely given authority to teach and even preach...they are so prideful and not firmly grounded in their own identity in Christ, that they go unchecked and unchallenged by those under them....because they are viewed as the sole authority on a subject....Then when they are challenged to see things they are lacking....they act out as many do here....

Funny thing I see them all do...they play the victim and beg the other person to place them on ignore, but they never place the person on ignore...this allows them to continue to flex their muscles....

Your right, it is a problem, In fact, what we have here is what I think is circular reasoning? (every point you made to support your position can also support my position)

1. If you think belief and faith are the same, You will come to wrong conclusions
2. It is obvious you do not understand the meaning of the word belief, or the word faith.
3. know why? it does not support your belief system.
4. Its not up to me to convince you what faith means, that is not what I am hear for.

As you can see, these are what you call circular argments which do not support your view or mine, We need more than this.

As for the rest, You have a dictionary meaning, which really did not support your view. It may it may not, but we need more than that.

I gave actual life examples. and as usual you did not even discuss those examples to show me where I got it wrong.

Here is another example. I do not have faith it will change your view, But there is always hope.

a man runs a line across the Niagara falls, and puts a rock into a wheel barrow which is about 150 lbs (the average weight of a human) this man makes multiple trips across this line with the rock, proving he has the ability to take a human across the falls. Of course, one wrong move, and both the man and the human would fall to their death.

After 5 trips. the man asks a crowd of about 100 people who had seen what he did, Do you believe I can take a human across in this wheel barrow. All 100 say yes.

Then the man asks, Ok, prove your faith, who will get in the wheel barrow and let me take them across.

No one raises their hand..

why?

They believe the man can do it, They have seen him walk across 5 times with an object which weighs the same as they do.

However, Non of them have FAITH (are assured) he can do it, they are not willing to put their lives in this mans hand, because they do not trust him.

They have belief, they DO NOT have faith.

in the same token, Many people belief jesus when he says he will save them, based on the cross. However, many do not have faith he can do it, and are not willing to put their eternity in the hands of a person they can not see.

not to mention, We have james, where people had belief in Jesus, but had a dead faith. which is no faith at all.

so I have now given you two life examples. and a biblical example. What you do with it, is out of my hands, I can just pray you see it.

The people you are talking about had no fruit. So your claiming a person can produce no fruit (no works) and still be saved. Are you sure you want to walk with that line of reasoning?

As for your final line,

I refer you to a great song, maybe you have sang it before? if you have not, look it up. if you have, I pray you actually see what the song says.

Jesus paid it all...

  1. I hear the Savior say,
    “Thy strength indeed is small;
Child of weakness, watch and pray,
Find in Me thine all in all.”
    • Refrain:
      Jesus paid it all,
      All to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow.
  2. For nothing good have I
    Whereby Thy grace to claim;
    I’ll wash my garments white
In the blood of Calv’ry’s Lamb.
  3. And now complete in Him,
    My robe, His righteousness,
    Close sheltered ’neath His side,
    I am divinely blest.
  4. Lord, now indeed I find
    Thy pow’r, and Thine alone,
Can change the *leper’s spots [*leopard’s]
And melt the heart of stone.
  5. When from my dying bed
    My ransomed soul shall rise,
“Jesus died my soul to save,”
    Shall rend the vaulted skies.
  6. And when before the throne
    I stand in Him complete,
    I’ll lay my trophies down,
    All down at Jesus’ feet.

Actually it is easy.

When meggido says EG believes something he does not believe

When meggido says EG needs to believe something he already believes,

When meggido says EG has said something EG has never stated

When meggido twists what EG says, and makes it appear to say somethign he never said,

It is called slander.

You are being watched, Every time you slander someone, it is being copied and pasted. and after awhile if it gets to much, we will share what we have seen, And it will be shared with the mods.

Unless you wish to stop this nonsense, repent that you have sinned, and desire to move on even if we disagree.

God's grace is His enabling power in which He operates sovereignly in the lives of believers. God's grace is unmerited and is where God shows us mercy, kindness, and patience instead of the judgment that we deserve for sinning against Him. God's grace cannot be earned by our actions or sincerity. Grace is based on the character of God and not on our sincerity, performance, or ability to keep the law. Otherwise, grace would not be grace.
Not one of us has ever said we work for any form of grace.....we don't....

Stop confusing grace and mercy, youa re suggesting they are one of the same and they are not...

When God spared the children in the wilderness and let them die in the wilderness over 40 years he showed his mercy....when he did not kill them outright as he wanted to he showed his grace...

Are you suggesting there is no punishment or judgement for sin under grace?

Sin always has a judgement....we sow what we reap...

DCON loves to say David was forgiven and was saved and had faith and and the Lord showed mercy on him, so the sin was taken care off....He seems to imply by saying those things that David escaped the punishment for his SINs of adultery and murder...but he did not escape judgement or punishment and still paid the price for committing the SINs of adultery and murder....The death of the infant son was the immediate punishment for the sins of the Father....

Ananias & Sapphira died for the sin of lying....

maybe he has some redeeming qualities from what i get out of et is he has to constantly put you to the test sought of like someone who constantly needs reasurance but goes about it the wrong way..

Stephen was full of grace Gods enabling power.. and so we all need what Stephen had but the question is how do we become full of grace..
They do not differentiate between saving grace and the empowering manifold grace of God, that comes after conversion....to them saving grace is all you get and/or need...

You're too intelligent to be here!!
I like to come here and then leave --- so I could be considered intelligent too !!

It's of little use to Exchange ideas, we're each embedded in our own doctrine.
Nothing wrong with that.

What's wrong with it is the REASONS given.
They are non-biblical.
It's necessary to add to, or deduct from, any given verse.
Verses cannot stand on their own when not properly understood.

So, you may say... "Only YOU are right?"

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only I am right!!

Dude give it up.

This is not true, and your continued attacks are getting out of hand.

We have always maintained there is a difference, In fact a few people tried to show Jimbo that there was a difference

Hi MMD

Here's a problem with the above.
I'm not posting anymore scripture BTW.
We both know it and I don't plan on being here
except to tell you this...

I absolutely agree with all you've said.
Grace is even MORE than you could ever say or explain.
God is GREAT in everything He does, so even His grace is
Beyond what we could ever understand.

It cannot be earned. His grace if free of charge.

But let's look at what you said here for a moment...:

Grace is based on the character of God and not on our sincerity, performance, or ability to keep the law. Otherwise, grace would not be grace

You said that the grace of God is not based on our ability to keep the Law, otherwise grace would not be grace.

So since God's grace is not based on our ability to keep the Law,
Was God's grace not present when He gave Moses the 10 Commandments written on stone?

He knew the Israelites would not be able to keep the Law...
He had grace even back then -- it's an attribute of His.

So, wasn't His Grace sufficient for them to keep the commandments?
And because it IS sufficient NOW (the NC) does that mean He no longer DEMANDS that we keep them??

I'd just like to remind you that God Always gave us a CHOICE to obey or not to obey.
Deuteronomy, Joshua, Jesus Always said that we are to obey His commandments, John 14, 15, Mathew 7, etc.

Because we're in the NC now, does that mean God no longer demands obedience?
OR, does He still demand it but we've been given a new way to obey it...

I agree with my second sentence.
It's because of LOVE, but we still must obey.

stop talking to them about manifold empowering grace it just confuses them...empowering grace is not a foundational doctrine and will not be discussed....

see, this group is fixated on foundational knowledge....heaven weeps they will not go onto spiritual maturity and see how much more is out there....
