Ok,two things, you built that? And second that is the tidiest desk I have ever seen!
A tidy desk. That reminds me that I need to organize and tidy my desk before my first big day of Spring term. I am so excited I love to organize and enjoy the time doing it. Thanks for the reminder

Yes, I built it myself because I wanted an automatic tilt-up book holder above the extra wide slide out keyboard tray, a see-thru window above the printer, a slide out monitor shelf, and a double-shelf slide out for the printer. And no one sells those.

And it was only that tidy for the picture... it's been all downhill since then. I can hardly see the desk surface right now.

Lol it was clean for a little bit at least. Great craftsmanship, looks like you have a side job there. Nothing like hand made.Everything else falls apart.

Speaking of handmade, my parents knew a guy that builds furniture out of wood and my dad talked him into building a bed for me for my birthday last year. My dad did a natural stain and it is beautiful. In fact when my parents gave it to me it was part of my hope chest, so that when I get married my future husband, whoever he is and I will have a bed. I started to cry when I first saw it. I apologize up front about my bedding being wrinkled because I was busy putting everything I will need for my classes tomorrow.

Naw, grow corn. Solves two problems at once (e.g. food and corn husks for tp). Plus, you can make popcorn and sit on your balcony and watch the end of the world as a bonus.

When the economy crashes and we have to barter, your greatest asset will be TP!
If you got it and they don't, they will give anything you ask!

That is truly beautiful craftsmanship! I think Id cry to receive a present like that too. There is just nothing like hand made.We live close to a Shaker farm and its amazing to see their work. The Amish do beautiful work too.I really dont like this pressed board or whatever that they use these days. Before we got married I was driving in town with my father and saw a yard full of furniture.I practically yelled at him to stop.lol I got good solid furniture for our guest room. A bed,a long bureau with a large mirror and a night stand for $150. It had a small scratch or two but nothing I couldnt fix.Im in the middle of painting it now.I dont like new furniture, buy the old stuff when ever I can.

This thread is 2 years old..pretty sure she's happy with it. :)

We faced the same problem when we moved to a new house. Our kitchen is not that much big, but it was designed in a wrong way, so it seemed to be smaller than it was. To make your kitchen lighter is a good idea as it will make you feel that it is more spacious. I also prefer the light colours, so I ordered white countertops and installed a backsplash tiling in our kitchen (https://forestrykitchens.ca/). Also we painted the walls and changed a sink. Now we have a light and spacious kitchen and I like it. I hope you will also like the result of your kitchen renovation!

This screwed-up, failing forum won't allow me to post pictures from my own hard-drive anymore. But, I sure wanted to post some pics of the 20'x20' metal hanger my wife and I built together in our backyard.
