A fall?
A fall?

Ralph and I agree on everything.
Don't even go there!!!

I do wish he'd show up....
WAITING....
Thats too bad..

That means he is working to maintain his salvation also.. and rejecting the grace of God. which offers to save him.

yuh know

she is not teaching works for salvation

you just don't see that

and.........

why are you here? you really are not in a place to ask her that question

appreciate the fact she is here and maybe try to dialogue instead of accuse

Ya know

She teaches must be done in order to maintain salvation. THATS WORKS. whether you like it or not.

As for accusing people. that is all she does 24/7, so lay off.. If your going to judge one, you better judge the other, otherwise your just a hypocrite.

So not everyone is TRULY saved?

How do we know the difference?

You know that Cliff we jumped off...

Your chute ain't workin' !!
You can't know the difference, Your not God, neither am I. You can guess, but only God knows.

People can act like Christians, and not be, People can be Christians, and you may doubt they are. Only God knows.

I agree!!!

So why do OSAS believers Always say that if a person falls away it means they were never saved to begin with?

Isn't THIS judging?
let me try a real life example- a person comes out of a drunken partying lifestyle, confess Jesus, and " lives right ". then, they go back to that lifestyle one day, and never again repent. did that person fall away, or were they never actually saved?

my question is WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?? that person ends up in the same place- unsaved.

we will never know what someone really truly believes. and since belief in Christ is the key, and we can't truly know what is in someone else's hearts and minds, why bother trying to judge??

But will you come right out and say that works are required in salvation because that's what saved people do, and if you don't have works to prove your relationship with Christ on the Day of Judgment then you aren't really born again, and so it is in that way that works are required? Can you come right out an say that without disguising it in other things?
works are not required for salvation period. Only work that was required was the work of the cross.

A person is saved the moment God accepts their faith The moment they call out to God in repentance and true faith. Not when we think they are saved when they said some sinners prayer, when other people think they are save,d WHEN GOD SAYS THEY ARE SAVED because they HAVE TRUE SAVING FAITH

They are born again, They are adopted. they are given eternal life. They are justified, redeemed, their sins were atoned for. they are part of the family of God.

because of the above, they work.

If you can do that without all the 'if's, and's, and butts' then you will remove all possibility for disagreement and confusion with Fran and the rest of us. .........then we can concentrate on OSAS, lol.

Sorry, But if Eternal Security in Christ is not true, that says man must have his part in salvation, which means salvation can be lost if man does not do his part.

Thats works, and man can take credit or boast of his saving work..

We will never agree on this..

The day natural children are born by faith in their natural parents forgiveness then you'll have an argument.

You people stretch this child/ adopted child analogy too far. Since you do that, and it seems okay with you, perhaps you should start teaching how since natural children born to their parents eventually grow up and away from their parents that spiritual children do the same thing, too, and don't need to depend on God anymore but can take care of themselves--you know, grow up into a 'works' gospel of their own.
lol, God made the child anology not us, So your argument is with God.

Your child was born of your seed,

We are born of the seed of God, what God calls incoruptable seed, which does not fade away.

What you propose is God will treat his children worse than a human will treat theirs..

the fact is, whether your child sins or not, whether he has faith in your or not. He is still your child period.

so who appointed, you judge to who god ,saves or did not save.

i will use a bible quote

a jewish wedding last 7 days.

Now there were six stone water jars there for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons.7 Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water." And they filled them up to the brim.8 And he said to them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast." So they took itJohn 2

would you consider, that a lot of wine, to be repenting for, not drinking it.

and since, when were you given this law, to define what a sin is, in order to condemn ,your self, who protects you from condemnation of the law,

I have about 15 people in ignore so I don't know what post he was referring to. I guess it's mine.
Most of those people have never said a disparaging word to me, and in some sense it shows my immaturity, but it's either ignore, and just read the posts from those who in some way express 1 Corinthians 13, or quit CC. I JUST CANT stomach the snarkiness, abuse, and lack of love anymore.

It does make keeping up with this thread easier though!! Lol

Yup God is Just and Merciful and the cross proves it.

Well if we cannot understand Grace then all your talk of following Jesus is not possible,

Jesus is described as “the Word that “became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14)

Nice to understand only Grace.
Problem is, and I've said it many times...
God is LOVE but
God is also JUST.

If you don't understand the Law and what it means to be UNDER THE LAW,
how could you possibly understand Grace?

Does anybody really understand Grace anyway? I doubt it.

What does it mean to be under the Law UG?
Do you think anybody on this thread is UNDER THE LAW?

no she is not doing that at all

you just do not understand what the New Testment teaches about works

actually, I have seen you accusing her, so are you both doing it?

and look, I'm not happy to say this, but you sound childish in your defense

please prove from scripture where Christians are not to do good works?

can you please post FROM THE BIBLE, NT the passages pertaining to works?

they are there you know

no I won't lay off because I am not on

I judge what is taught because that is the territory to judge. you seem to be judging motive which is not your place or anyone's place unless someone is so far alt religious left, that they need a good rebuke

frankly, though I don't think a rebuke on a forum means a whole lot or most of would be rebuked right out of here

you do not have a clue what 'I better'...that sounds like a threat.

If you say so...however, I have no idea what you are saying in your tongue and cheek fashion?

LOL!

so Gentiles only carry a concealed New Testament?

LOL! again

if Jesus explained salvation FROM the law and so does Paul, I'm thinking some folks is just plain neglecting their studies

if you think quote unquote Gentiles understand grace, then you have been hiding under a rock in these forums and just came up for air

ps: I'm joking but awful serious and I am not making fun of you
