Quite correct, If you dance with the devil, only you are the one changed....
We all dance with him in his play ground now and then, when we let go of our Lords hand, but we run back to our Lord so fast we can`t breath, this is what causes us to shot out ABBA FATHER, and He picks us up because He loves us and knows that we will fall, but some people stay in the play ground untill after hours when the gates are shut, that`s scary...xox...This is what i am saying, how can people believe they no longer have to repent after the sins they sin today, the people who believe that Jesus died and has forgiven us to the point of no more repenting, I am always reminded of the cross, why, because that is the place God brings me when i fall...Thanks for letting me post away lol, not directed at you:) just where my post fitted...xox...

Hi Cee...This says to me that i am now dead to my old self, I am now alive in Christ, i now have the Holy Spirit who is bearing fruit in me, He is growing me, it does not mean i sit back and do nothing, it means as i grow in Christ, the fruit that is about to burst He puts forward for me to go and serve Him, nothing is wasted :)...Ii am not a sloth, He does not like sloths, Hhe sends us out to be a lamp unto the world of lost souls, even if i just give a pip out of my fruit that He has grown in me, a pip can be watered and grown...All the glory to God \o/...xox...

My poem:

~

A Ready Heart

Offerings

What could I offer to You O My King?
What is of worth, would I have to You bring?

Nothing but purest of gifts are You worthy..
My hands and my heart seem so empty..

My Child, it's not sacrifice that I am pleased with
I gave You the best gift that man cannot match.

It's your yes and amen, I believe You My Father
Yes Lord I trust You...my heart is stedfast..

But is that enough O My Father to trust You?
Can I stand fast in the day of our trouble?
What will we do when our days rise up evil?
And darkness is covering this land?

You shine like the Son with the light I have given
My Child it is brighter than day of your sun.
I've given you oil in your lamp and will guide you
Your footsteps won't falter, your race will be won.

I'm asking you stand and confess what I tell you
Stand and confess what you see with my eyes
For others You'll stand as the rock in my temple
Leading and guiding them home.

This is the offering with which you will please me.
Of mankind that's lost yet in darkness of sin
To be as My own Son in giving Me full heart
No other gift precious as life full of Him.

I'll pour in you oil that is that which is purest
The oil that flowed out of My Sons sacrifice
The first drops of oil that is golden and clearest
The bruising of healing oil flowing of love.

As healing drops flow over wounds of long standing
the light of My Presence will glow forth of glory.
I'll shine ever brighter in lives of this flowing..
My oil is the source, and you Child are the Bride. .

My Son is now ready and waiting for my call
To rise up and open the door to His Bride..
It's soon O my Children, this world soon is passing
Your King is coming...His light will abide.

This is the gift of you that I would ask Child.
Your faith in believing releases My oil
It's light is for leading those yet who are captured
in places of darkness, alone, and forlorn.

Jesus, shine in and out of me.

The purest oil of the olive is that which drops without pressure or with the slightest pressure upon the olive. The crushed olives grade is least then. That which is precious to Father...is the heart that says,
" I believe Your Son is enough for me, Father."
amen sis, missed you, welcome back.

This is exactly what happened to me. I remember Him telling me one day, "Focus on Him not on sin."

I had a friend we would go to BATTLE about this, I would try to show him the difference between sin consciousness and Christ consciousness and he battled me about it. This went on and on. Until a couple years later, he messaged me said he was completely transformed by grace, his life radically changed, he didn't fight with sin like he used to, and to keep preaching the true gospel. He had an encounter with God. And God transformed Him from glory to glory. Amen.

C.

THIS is so true.

This is not a theoretical question with me. I have first hand experience with the truth of eternal security and the incalculable Grace of Jesus Christ.

When I tried MY hardest not to sin after accepting Christ, when I WANTED to stop doing sinful behaviors, and even thought at one point I'd blown it because of my sin and God was going to judge me because of it, it resulted IN ME COMMITTING MORE sin, NOT LESS!

The Lord spoke to me as I was praying one day and said that ALL of my sins were paid for, to stop thinking about them, and focus on Him. Because He would NEVER leave me!

Since that time, not only the actual sin I commit has GREATLY diminished, but even my DESIRE to commit that sin has diminished. Without that fear, and with trusting Him more and more, He has opened up opportunities to Glorify Him, that I would have thought laughable before His revelation to me.

So fear not Brethren! HE IS NOT GOING TO ABANDON YOU! And if YOU stray He will draw you back.

If you are taking that as an invitation to sin, then you need to pray to God to give you revelation.

It doesn't say we sit back and do nothing to me either. :)

Paul did plenty. So did Jesus.

What it says to me, is that God transforms us so we desire His ways. And His ways are not burdensome to us.

If they are currently burdensome to us, it is INVITATION for a greater repentance to what He has done in us. As only the Spirit of God can reveal.

If my flesh had been crucified in one moment in time, it would be dead, but practically speaking, that wasn't my experience. I had to pick up my cross and follow. And it hasn't been an easy thing with no struggle. I had to struggle to lay down my life of pride for my brother. I still struggle in it at times when someone is being extremely, extremely nasty to me.

I understand that Paul was talking about himself there. He HAD crucified his flesh. He HAD gone through that in the three years in which he sought out no man. But then he did not say the same thing to the church that was having a problem with their flesh, angry outbursts, dissensions, etc. He would certainly not tell them they had already crucified their flesh or laid down their lives yet for the good of their brothers. It was apparent by their behavior that they had not.
I totally understand.

Here's my thoughts about this:

We first enter in by faith. It is done.

It is by understanding it is done, that we can begin to see by the Spirit how we now live.

Paul's audience who was struggling living by the flesh, needed discipleship by the Spirit through Paul. So he instructed them on how to live according to their new life in Christ. The Spirit of God wrote the Scriptures and it is He who disciples us through His people. We all have ONE mind, ONE Lord, and we are ONE body. This is a spiritual truth that must be prayed about.

Wow, he starts off in error right off the bat:

Lordship “salvation” (LS) is the unsupportable and unbiblical belief that the PERFORMANCE of good works, the PROMISE of good works, or the EVIDENCE of good works MUST accompany faith in Christ in order to establish, or provide evidence, that such faith has resulted in eternal life.

If there is no evidence of conversion it is because there is no conversion. He better take a deeper look at Scripture.

Hi PennEd...I can relate to you what you have said...I to when once saved sinned more in my biggest sin then ever...Yes i know sin is sin, but this major one had a hold on me, and once i was saved the sin drew me closer to do it more:rolleyes:...Looking back i see that this happens because the evil one HATES anyone who draws close to God, he hates the very fact that we have been taking away from him, so now he is firing his dirty arrows at us and drawing us back in...But thanks be to God that we have our Lord Jesus Christ, who we were called to by our Father, the creator of the heavens and the earth who put the desire in our hearts and called us to His Son WOW :D...Now that old sin that used to haunt me is becoming so distant i can hardly see it, all because of Jesus, who saved us from those sins, not because of what we have done, less any man should boast, ALL the glory to Him:)...xox...

I so know what you mean... I hope you will take the time to read more on the website. It is website I feel comfortable posting.

They preach and teach a clear simple gospel.

I found theology was making my life so complicated and the Christian walk was more than heavy.

In Jesus I found simplicity again.:D
If not for the hostile religious leader's antagonizing Jesus of Nazareth wherever He went, I believe He would want a quiet peaceful life as well. He would often make retreat for communion. Again great posting.

I can't agree that if there is no evidence of conversion that there is no conversion. If a man has received the Holy Spirit, he doesn't just get up and start running well any more than a baby pops out of the womb and starts running well. I received the Spirit and didn't walk by the Spirit very well for a long time. I still murdered, I still had a problem with pride, my tongue, hurt feelings, holding grudges. By most appearances, anyone would have looked at me one day and said, oh, she is saved and then look at me the next day and said, oh...it was all an act, you see how she REALLY is, there is no evidence of conversion.

A man can be converted by his new birth, receiving the Spirit and still be walking in his flesh so much that you can't tell. I got to the point where I wouldn't DARE mention Jesus to anyone because of the bad example I would show ten minutes later when someone was rude to me. I decided to just keep my mouth shut until I could open it without being a hypocrite. Besides, who will even listen to a man who recommends Jesus and then acts like the devil five minutes later. He will just be scoffed at and dismissed.

Well I disagree, respectfully of course, salvation is a inward thing a singular event born of the spirit, outward performance cannot prove it to anyone.

The key is on the word must to prove salvation
When I was born again I believed in what Jesus did for me, I believed I did not perform any good works for salvation and I do not do them to prove I am saved, I do them in Christ Jesus as He commands

It is an internal event separate form our walk in Jesus, and the source of our works is Him not us

One does not have to read the website if you disagree that was not my intention, I just know it help me separate out salvation from discipleship which is important.

Is that not how we all should walk, in peace...Jesus is such a humble, meek man Son of God...He is gentle in His ways, He is kind, thoughtful, compassionate, caring, loving, forgiving, and all the rest of the beautiful words that are written for our understanding...You have a lovely gentle Spirit TruthTalk, it`s very attractive, comes from the eyes of our Lord...xox...

You can tell a man HOW he should live - don't have anger at your brother because if you do you have already murdered - and he wants very badly not to murder anymore, but he still is doing it all the time whenever someone cuts him off in traffic or talks snottily to him. Telling a man how he SHOULD be doesn't make him BE how he should be. There is a struggle because death is just a struggle. Men don't want to die. They want to find a way to NOT die and still follow. So they struggle in their death to self. They struggle to die.

This very discussion board is evidence that the evidence is not always evident.:)

If we are looking for works as evidence than we become fruit inspectors, I personally have no comfort level with that,

I do believe though we are to concern ourselves with false teachers for that we look at their doctrine.

Yes, absolutely. :D
And teachers will be held to a higher standard. If a man thinks he can teach another, he best be walking in the Spirit and not reviling back and acting in the same fleshly displays those he is trying to "Teach" are walking in. We can/sometimes do smack each other, but the one teaching us better not be walking that way! If he wants to teach, he better walk in the Spirit with some consistency or he's just a little boy dressed up in his dad's suit and shoes, pretending to be a grown man!

Yes, you SHOULD keep your ears covered. I don't care if I agree with what a man is saying or not, if he is not walking in the Spirit in love, I won't take stock in much he says. Now if I catch a man walking in the Spirit, he will ALWAYS have my ear, because I see my Lord in him. :)

Even if I understand and agree with some point a man makes, I can tell it was taught to him by other men rather than our Lord if he presents it without walking in the Spirit. So his next point could be as wrong as his previous point was right.

If a man is SPIRIT taught, he won;t be teaching or talking in a fleshly way with outbursts of anger and mocking or nasty way. He will be speaking with POWER! He won't start squawking if another man is nasty to him, he'll just keep loving and forgiving and walking in the Spirit because he has died to his flesh. HE WON'T revile back or demand apologies. In fact, he will EXPECT to be treated the same way his Lord was treated.
I agree...As was written, shake the dust from your feet and move on, no out burst, no nasty words, no making people feel beneath, just shake them toes and let the air breath...xox...
