lol, From the first post I posted in this thread I stated that in the end you would all be narrowed down to the fact that none of you could explain the man of sin and his mark and none of you have.

This is where all of these type threads end up in the end lol, I quote Locutus,,,"post #6558,lol (a better job)" hmm, were reduced to our gut instincts,,,
Maybe none of us has felt like accommodating your challenge?

Any one who was a church member you can think of writing about him already coming and gone in the years ad71-ad171?
Nobody was tweeting in those days..:p

We don't know how long he lived or if he perished in the war of 66-70 AD - listen to what Paul told them in regards to the "man of sin":

2 Thess 2:5 Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things?

Paul had already addressed the "man of sin" issue and it's quite possible he spelled out who he was.

But the point of him telling them is it was more than probable that his "unveiling" would have a direct effect on them.

He's not prophesying of something way off in the future.

lol, oh come now the Jews minted their own money instead of using the Romans money and refused to bow down to Caesar and revolted instead who in their right mind would say that they received the mark in Revelation 13 when Josephus said they did just the opposite?

You are speaking about the Zealots. The religious leaders used Roman money and called Caesar their king. But the mark is spiritual just as the seal of God was spiritual.

"we don't know",,,then why pretend you know he lived then?

So , the Christians were told to in Romans 13 then they could use Caesar's money and not have the mark?

I'm not pretending, Paul said he was being restrained at the time he wrote:

2 Thess 2:6 And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed.

Hey then give us the "revealed part" and show us your not pretending...give us the man of sin from ad66-ad70

So one of the small ones is the man of sin?
Ok I'm still not entirely clear on what a futurist is but if I understand you rightly, the rapture has happened, the Great Tribulation is over and the millenium reign of Jesus ended nine hundred and seventy years ago. So that would mean, you did not get caught up to be with Him, you missed being the bride, He reigned a whole thousand years without you......What are you looking forward to now? You're not in heaven, and you're not in hell.....What are you expecting next?

I don't believe there will be a "rapture" at all and I would be an amillinealist in regards to when Christ will reign the 1000 years is symbolism for the messianic age between the ascension of Christ and the last judgement

Like I said, this is enigmatic, Paul is writing about things he had spoken with them in person.

Your guess on that would be nearly as good as mine...:p

Yep, if the man of sin is past tense then you don't need to warn anyone about him coming in the future(done deal) and if the great tribulation is over no need to prepare anyone for it coming(done deal)right?

Then no need to worry about the mark if it's over in the past either right(done deal).
The devil is in the pit and wont rise from it until the 1000 years are over so no need in protecting anyone from him right(done deal)?

The beast and the false prophet are already cast into the lake of fire and the devil is in the pit for now and will rise for a little while after the 1000 years but will not win so why worry right,(done deal).

It's a bit like atheism I think in that they are so concerned with our being confused with that nothing exist after we die as if we could goof up the thing they say they believe. lol, In the same the preterist has all fulfilled and is sore afraid that the futurist might fall prey to something they believe is in the past and no threat to me at all, master thinkers are they?
