You cannot take what one of them said in here and then claim they all believe or have said what the one person said.
This would be like me saying all black people like fried chicken or white men cant jump or all women are bad drivers. You can't take what one man in an entire group has said or done and state that it means they all believe it, say it and do it.
Heck, you can't even be sure the one person who said it hasn't changed their thought on it by now, after the discussion.
stick to the topic and stop defending your crew..yeah we know you do it...we just ignore it...but it gets tiresome....

God only remains a mystery for those who do not fully trust him.....

For example:

God was mystery to The children of Israel....and he remained a mystery to them...they sacrificed the presence of God for the atmosphere of God, i.e, held their hand/religion

God was not a mystery to Moses and he spoke to him face to face as a man speaks to a friend, i.e. he had his presence/ relationship

many take his hand...when the Word says we should seek his face....

Psalm 105.4
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Seek the Lord and His strength;
Seek His face continually.

Psalm 11.7
For the Lord is righteous, He loves righteousness; The upright will behold His face.

and many, many more....
You don't understand. It's okay.

I live with a very passive aggressive woman who is constantly insisting I rephrase, say differently to her own liking, adjust my thoughts to her preferences, make my own sandwich that I am going to be the only one eating it to her exact specifiactions (no joke). So you can see why getting into a major discussion about how God only seems to be mysterious to me because of my lack of faith would be like going to the dentist for me. :)

Have you beheld the face of God? Were all His ways made known to you in that moment? Just curious :)
[SUP]12 [/SUP]Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. [SUP]13 [/SUP]Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, [SUP]14 [/SUP]I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. [SUP]15 [/SUP]Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you; [SUP]16 [/SUP]however, let us keep living by that same standard to which we have attained.

I think that sums up my answer to you perfectly....

I will add this.....a wise old pastor mentor told me once that I was the only one that could prohibit how deep in God I went....I am selfish to this point...I will not be held hostage by people that think the 1/4" puddle they are in iis whee i should stay....

Water I can swim in is where i try to live....Eze 47

Address the veracity or falsity of my statements.
The part of your post I wanted to address and make a topic on was where you said they do not understand anything about the empowering grace of God working in their lives. You are writing a single story for all of "them." This takes away their own unique voices and insists they be who you have declared them to be and believe what you have declared them to believe. You are taking away the voices of men. This is called : bigotry, prejudice, labeling. It most often leads to tyranny.

quite alright..all forgiven...it just seems to me you are very one sided....if I am wrong, so be it...
Funny kind of, because EG felt that way about me yesterday or the day before. He felt I one-sidedly got on him for unlovely talk but never got on anyone else. I just got on myself too for that sarcastic remark I can't take back but can only apologize for.

It can become confusing in here sometimes because we think one person said something but it was actually another person who said it. Men are complex. They have to be talked to one on one. They can't be grouped, packaged and labeled. Each is a person with varying beliefs in a different stage.

And yet your vicious and ugly mutterings against your brothers DOESN'T embarrass you? You disdain them and attack them unlovingly because they do not have some perfect understanding of God that you think you have. You berate them for whatever you deem to be a wrong thought or understanding. You allow no man his own thought on a matter or on a verse. And so you become embarrassed that you used a word wrong whose definition has changed??
I have spoken about doctrine nearly all day, & now I find myself being accused of directly muttering vicious & ugly things about individuals.

She says so.....

I think it was just yesterday SBG was saying she liked my words, but questioned my sharpness. Now she practically calls me a wolf.

I just wish she would make up my mind.

This reminds me of a story where a troublesome child was picking on a dog. She would agitate it & aggravate it, pulling its ears & poking at it.

One day, the dog didn't feel so well, & when the wicked child started on it, it snapped the girl & drew blood.

The child screamed, & the parents rushed in to see what was wrong. Immediately they blamed the dog for biting the child & called the police to take the dog away.

Poor dog. Treated like pure evil because it could no longer take the abuse from the wicked child .

Many a good member has been thrown out of CC because their longsuffering had come to an end.

Wicked children poking & prodding, blaming & blasting, pushing good members in to the proverbial corner because their faith would not waver.

Dissimulation of wicked children destroys the good names & reputations of others, & thru projection & deflection the victim is blamed.

If only those in authority would discipline those wicked children parading a form of godliness.

Isaiah 57

1The righteous man perishes, and no man takes it to heart;
And devout men are taken away, while no one understands.
For the righteous man is taken away from evil, 2He enters into peace;
They rest in their beds,
Each one who walked in his upright way.

3“But come here, you sons of a sorceress,
Offspring of an adulterer and a prostitute.
4“Against whom do you jest?
Against whom do you open wide your mouth
And stick out your tongue?
Are you not children of rebellion,
Offspring of deceit,
5Who inflame yourselves among the oaks,
Under every luxuriant tree,
Who slaughter the children in the ravines,
Under the clefts of the crags?
6“Among the smooth stones of the ravine
Is your portion, they are your lot;
Even to them you have poured out a drink offering,
You have made a grain offering.
Shall I relent concerning these things?
7“Upon a high and lofty mountain
You have made your bed.
You also went up there to offer sacrifice.
8“Behind the door and the doorpost
You have set up your sign;
Indeed, far removed from Me, you have uncovered yourself,
And have gone up and made your bed wide.
And you have made an agreement for yourself with them,
You have loved their bed,
You have looked on their manhood.
9“You have journeyed to the king with oil
And increased your perfumes;
You have sent your envoys a great distance
And made them go down to Sheol.
10“You were tired out by the length of your road,
Yet you did not say, ‘It is hopeless.’
You found renewed strength,
Therefore you did not faint.

11“Of whom were you worried and fearful
When you lied, and did not remember Me
Nor give Me a thought?
Was I not silent even for a long time
So you do not fear Me?
12“I will declare your righteousness and your deeds,
But they will not profit you.
13“When you cry out, let your collection of idols deliver you.
But the wind will carry all of them up,
And a breath will take them away.
But he who takes refuge in Me will inherit the land
And will possess My holy mountain.”

Who still has understanding?

An OT example is still speaking to the hearers.

He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

Matthew 13
13“Therefore I speak to them in parables; because while seeing they do not see, and while hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.14“In their case the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled, which says,
‘YOU WILL KEEP ON HEARING, BUT WILL NOT UNDERSTAND;
YOU WILL KEEP ON SEEING, BUT WILL NOT PERCEIVE;
15FOR THE HEART OF THIS PEOPLE HAS BECOME DULL,
WITH THEIR EARS THEY SCARCELY HEAR,
AND THEY HAVE CLOSED THEIR EYES,
OTHERWISE THEY WOULD SEE WITH THEIR EYES,
HEAR WITH THEIR EARS,
AND UNDERSTAND WITH THEIR HEART AND RETURN,
AND I WOULD HEAL THEM.’

16“But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear. 17“For truly I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

Good night my lovely :)

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

"Our works, deeds, fruit, obedience do prove that we are His children."

Please tell what are all of these works that you do to prove you are his child; if works, be specific what works, what kind of deeds, bearing fruit; what type of fruit, where by evangelizing the lost; how should we be obedient in what way's. Otherwise this is just Christian lingo that sounds nice - notice that a salvation by works believer will never specify what they do.

Oh foolish Galatians; "Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh?" Galatians3:3

"By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
John13:35.
Good morning TruthTalk...I see a work that really stands out to me, but only through looking back i see it as a work where i am serving the Lord :)...My son who is in prison for life ( minimum 16 yrs ) has given his life to our Lord about 3 months ago, and now because of the changes th Holy Spirit has made in me in the past 18 months i have been saved , i believe God has used me and continues to use me to teach my son on his journey...This happens through mainly e-mail service, so as i write to him i have the Holy Spirit who leads me...I bought my son a Bible and sent it to him, so now i send him Scriptures to look up, depending what he is going through at his end...My son through the Holy Spirit has gone from a very arrogant, selfish, stubborn, manipulating man in to a man who is broken before the Lord and godly sorrow in his heart...He lives in a very world , he said it`s like he is walking amongst the living dead, God is using me to help build him up, when my son writes to me he tells how he loves the old testament , he loves history...Now when we write or talk on the phone, our conversations are all about our beautiful Savior:) i never thought it possible that this son of mine would end up being a child of God but ALL things are possible with God...So i believe that is a work that God has set me to do, to teach my son what the Holy Spirit is teaching me, in prison my son truly has to learn to turn the other cheek, to become a gentle spirit in a hostile community, so much work to do, and this is my duty to God to to tend to His son, my child:)...Excuse me for going on ...xox...
