God is the word. The word is God. We were born to receive his light? I'm confused though.
All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.
As well as verses 10-15 is hard to comprehend for me.
Well faelynn your off to a good start becasue your right the Word (who is Jesus Christ) is not only "WITH" God but He is God. And at vs2, the Word/Jesus Christ again states that He was with God. In other words there are two persons in view in these verses, God the Father and God the Son.
Then at vs5 Jesus is the light of the world and the darkness that is in the world is unable to extinguish the light which is Jesus Christ. At vs6 we are presented with John the Baptist who at vs7 is the forerunner to Jesus Christ which means he bears witness to the true light/Jesus Christ. And at vs14, the Word which is Jesus Christ who is with God and is God became flesh or became a man and dwelt among us as a man.
Jumping down to vs18 simply means that Jesus Christ is the physcial manifestation of God because "No man has seen God at any time, the only begotten God, who is in the bosm of the Father, He/Jesus Christ has explained Him. Does that make sense to you faelynn? I gave you the short version of what the verses are teaching so if you have any questions please ask.
IN GOD THE SON,
