Some of the diets listed above are so bad that one would think the alter of calorie counting was the be and end all.

Yet losing weight should never be the focus of a healthy deitary plan.

Still another lie the indoctrinated masses have gulped down.

The primary goal should be altering body chemistry as to faciltate longevity and quality of health. Do this and your body weight will eventually stabilize and remain at healthy and asthetically pleasing levels.

Also anyone who thinks microwaves are okay to use needs to unbury that mound of sand covering your brain.

Amazing to me what some people will do to save a few minutes.

Whats next, 20 minute church services?

Some web sites would agree. Some would disagree. Here's one that disagrees.

https://www.health.harvard.edu/staying-healthy/microwave-cooking-and-nutrition

Personally I prefer eating raw veg where I can, raw swede is actually nicer than cooked swede!

Unfortunately my elder aunt doesn't have teeth and won't use falsies.
So all her veg has to be very soft, that means boiling or roasting the guts out of it,
or a few mins in the microwave, which softens it but still retains the taste and nutrition. Lol

Dont get me going about stir fries, she can't eat them unless it's rendered to a
pulp. But starting things like cabbage, peppers, baby sweet corn etc in the microwave,
first, means that they remain recognisable when we have stir fries. :D

Microwaves alter the chemical structure of food, and even water. The Russians banned them about 50 years ago.

Have you tried blending the veggies while they are softened? Smoothies can be quite nutritious and tasty, even when chock full of veggies :)

Hi Miri...Bbeing type 2 diabetic, carbs are poison to my body unless they are low carbs, high carbs for any diabetic can make one seriously ill, because carbs turn into sugar, and sugar turns into fat...I have found the way to deal with my eating is to stay away from processed food, i eat low carb fruits, we all need good healthy fats, without them our brain can not function proper, high carbs are good for those who are on the go, people in sports need high carbs for energy, but they burn the fat from training...Having diabetes has taught me so much about food, although i do allow my self something naughty now and then...xox...
Hi Rose and Mary x,
Interesting that the brain needs fat to function, Those like me who get gout inflammation from: fat, glutton and lactose, quite mindless after a hard day's work; did not know why until now, maybe oil like from olive may work, decided to try.

please research the oils before buying or trying them, there are some
very important info that must be looked into...or else they can be
very 'harmful'...

Week 1 update: Down 5 lbs to 180. Seems to be working great so far. I'm going to have a cheat day once a week, but work out twice as hard after it.

oh yes, Wild, how else can we de-tox!, even when we have to go into wal-toxic-mart to buy?
we are seriously looking into buying on line, of course with a card not associated with
our bank account...if one researches, there are so many 'perks'...

Understood you meant side effects by harmful, but not harmed as we believe. "Nothing shall by any means harm you if you believe." To understand correctly include dying will not harm us, suffering will not harm us, symptoms will not harm us. Like a natural example drinking sour milk: will hurt your feelings but will not hurt you, and you need not believe for that.
The best diet I know for recovering health and loosing weight, Is concord grapes, nothing else, also the most overlooked, I can understand why. It would be like eating mana (power) in the wilderness. You can look on the internet. The grape seeds have to be chewed or pulverised in a blender, as they are one of the strongest anti inflammation: anti occident. The grape sugar helps the metabolism, to remain balanced. There is even possibility of recovering from cancer, as the cancer has nothing else to eat and the anti occident may kill it gradually in a 3 or 4 month fast. I suspect would loose 20 lbs. a month more if you remain active. I don't recommend it if I did people would get scared away. Other kind of grapes work as well but seedless would be poor choice. Actually the oil I'm using is grape seed oil, had bought it just before reading the information about the brain needing fat, seemed like a confirmation.
Blueberries is another strong anti occident, have them almost every day to reduce inflammation in joints from carpenter work.

No juice??? :'( I love juice
The only thing bad about juice is you only get a third a cup as representing a whole fruit serving recorded. Also the fiber factor, or fill factor is reduced. Also, it affects your teeth worse than whole fruits. :( Smile? I know, I loved juice too. But I am much better off with the whole fruits. What's great about life is we are free in Christ to choose as we wish. The only thing we have no say in are the results if we choose poorly...

Hey Wild - I have years of experience with Paleo. My ex was religiously connected to that and exercise and running. Of course, I think to make it your religion is going too far, but nonetheless I have experienced it greatly. Its good stuff, I loved the kale chips baked and sprinkled with good stuff. I lost 50 lbs in three months using it way back in time. But, I haven't maintained it all these years so some has returned. So, you have adopted the eggs eating and I agree with that. I believe it to be a sound argument that God has given us all this to help us somehow, so let it responsibly. I also loved Hemp and Chai seeds.

Guard your heart, Satan will pounce here and make it even a spiritual battle, just get used to telling Satan to take a hike in His name! May God richly Bless you. I will pray that your goal is reached. Detoxing is important at first, but how you do that is also important. Smile.

Consider giving up the milk, brother. Milk is definitely not paleo, but aside from that, for some people (myself included) milk spikes insulin levels. I use milk to gain weight and it's phenomenal for that. But when losing body fat, I get far better results cutting out milk, alcohol and grains completely. For myself and many other people those are the big 3 to steer clear of. Refined sugars, etc. should be a given.

Great job so far!
