Re: The Tree Of Life?

Well you won't believe me, so I won't tell you that the nephilim and their offspring, many of them at least, used portals to get offworld to avoid the flood. They settled on Mars for a while. But remember.....I'm not telling you that.

i was under the impression that entrance to Eden is on the Mercy Seat, above the cherubim, beyond the flaming sword of fire. not buried under mounds of silt.
Do you think its possible that its not even on the planet anymore but has been moved?

Christ on earth demonstrated many things. one thing particularly of interest here is how after His resurrection, He suddenly appeared in a room full of people. He had not passed through a door or by any of them before there He was, in the midst of them. the disciples thought He was spirit, a ghost - because how could a physical body do this? but He let them touch Him, and He ate some fish, to demonstrate that no, He really was physically manifest, not a ghost.

doesn't this demonstrate that tangible, physical things can be 'hidden' or 'removed' from physical reality, while still remaining tangible?

Eden doesn't have to be "moved" to be inaccessible. the scriptures give it a definite location, on earth, triangulated by rivers - and don't say it is "moved" from its place, just that the way is shut up & guarded by angels and a ((singular)) flaming sword, on its eastern border.

we now live in an area either in or accessible from the east of Eden, where the man and the woman were driven out. but east & west in Aramaic are more than directions, in the sense that we think of them today. the words literally mean "where the sun rises" and "where the sun sets" and both the sun, and its rising and setting, are symbols full of meaning. we're not necessarily talking about Euclidean cardinal directions when describing where Eden is.

alternate dimensions?
the Bible doesn't speak as if such things are impossible. in fact, Solomon declares that "the heavens of the heavens" cannot contain God - so where is He? He is very near to those who fear Him, yet far from the proud: and both may be in the same room together, or even reverence and vanity may be in the same heart! so how do you measure "distance to God" or point an arrow at the direction where He may be found? only metaphorically, we point "up" -- though "up" itself is in every direction, as what we call "up" and "down" are references to gravitational vectors, and all along the surface of this planet, one man's "up" is another's "down" when described from a vantage point removed from it.

so it may also be with "where" the Garden that God planted, and whose gates He shut, now is.

but Eden - what is Eden?
it is the place where the way to the tree of life is; it is the place where man and God dwell together in peace. you know The Gate to this place; you know The Way: it is a person, Jesus of Nazareth

"How Beautiful Is This Tree..."

The Book of Enoch: Enoch's Journeys through the Earth and Sheol: Chapter XXIV

"CHAPTER XXIV. 1. And from thence I went to another place of the earth, and he showed me a mountain range of fire which burnt day and night. 2. And I went beyond it and saw seven magnificent mountains all differing each from the other, and the stones (thereof) were magnificent and beautiful, magnificent as a whole, of glorious appearance and fair exterior: three towards the east, one founded on the other, and three towards the south, one upon the other, and deep rough ravines, no one of which joined with any other. 3. And the seventh mountain was in the midst of these, and it excelled them in height, resembling the seat of a throne: and fragrant trees encircled the throne. 4. And amongst them was a tree such as I had never yet smelt, neither was any amongst them nor were others like it: it had a fragrance beyond all fragrance, and its leaves and blooms and wood wither not for ever: and its fruit is beautiful, and its fruit resembles the dates of a palm. 5. Then I said: 'How beautiful is this tree, and fragrant, and its leaves are fair, and its blooms very delightful in appearance.' 6. Then answered Michael, one of the holy and honoured angels who was with me, and was their leader."

"CHAPTER XXV. 1. And he said unto me: 'Enoch, why dost thou ask me regarding the fragrance of the tree, and why dost thou wish to learn the truth?' Then I answered him saying: 'I wish to know about everything, but especially about this tree.' And he answered saying: 'This high mountain which thou hast seen, whose summit is like the throne of God, is His throne, where the Holy Great One, the Lord of Glory, the Eternal King, will sit, when He shall come down to visit the earth with goodness. 4. And as for this fragrant tree no mortal is permitted to touch it till the great judgement, when He shall take vengeance on all and bring (everything) to its consummation for ever. It shall then be given to the righteous and holy. 5. Its fruit shall be for food to the elect: it shall be transplanted to the holy place, to the temple of the Lord, the Eternal King.

6 Then shall they rejoice with joy and be glad,
And into the holy place shall they enter;
And its fragrance shall be in their bones,
And they shall live a long life on earth,
Such as thy fathers lived:
And in their days shall no sorrow or plague
Or torment or calamity touch them.'

7 Then blessed I the God of Glory, the Eternal King, who hath prepared such things for the righteous, and hath created them and promised to give to them."

Peace.

The Tree Of Knowledge/Wisdom?

The Wesley Center Online: Book Of Enoch

[Chapter 32]

1 And after these fragrant odours, as I looked towards the north over the mountains I saw seven mountains full of choice nard and fragrant trees and cinnamon and pepper. 2 And thence I went over the summits of all these mountains, far towards the east of the earth, and passed above the Erythraean sea and went far from it, and passed over the angel Zotiel. And I came to the Garden of Righteousness, 3 I and from afar off trees more numerous than I these trees and great-two trees there, very great, beautiful, and glorious, and magnificent, and the tree of knowledge, whose holy fruit they eat and know great wisdom. 4 That tree is in height like the fir, and its leaves are like (those of) the Carob tree: and its fruit 5 is like the clusters of the vine, very beautiful: and the fragrance of the tree penetrates afar. Then 6 I said: 'How beautiful is the tree, and how attractive is its look!' Then Raphael the holy angel, who was with me, answered me and said: 'This is the tree of wisdom, of which thy father old (in years) and thy aged mother, who were before thee, have eaten, and they learnt wisdom and their eyes were opened, and they knew that they were naked and they were driven out of the garden.'

Peace.

Video Supplement

*** WARNING ***

There is at least one colorful metaphor, i.e. the inclusion of a BS graphic (not Bible Study), contained within this video, however, there are also some interesting observations made by the creator of this video that I felt were worth listening to.

The concept of giant trees reminds me of the movie Avatar..."Home Tree."

I am still left with a question...how were these petrified logs sawed? This leads me to speculate that the petrified remains are not thousands/millions of years old...but hundreds of years old.

well, it just seems natural to us that if Jesus made all of those giantic trees,
and humongus' bodies of waters, and so many of the 'left-overs' are still so tall,
then, 'something' REAL TALL, had to feed on them...just our opinion...
look at the elephants and the giraffe's, plus the tree dwellers...
