Why would anyone be ashamed of the works of Holy Spirit Fran?

What works are you boasting of?
§Stone,

IF YOU are not ashamed of YOUR good works,
proclaim it right now.

Right now proclaim that it is necessary to obey Jesus.
Right now say that we are required to do good works and that you plan to do whatever it
is you have to.

You won't do it will you?

SO WHO IS ASHAMED OF JESUS?

Remember 2 Timothy 2:12

If you DENY Jesus by being ashamed of HIS TEACHINGS, HE will deny you.

Plain and simple.

Right now you believe in annihalationism.

The saved go to be with God.
The unsaved are annihalated.

This is what you have to ask yourself to decide if it's correct:

Did Jesus ever speak of hell?
What IS hell?

If you just disappear because you're an unbeliever, is THAT hell?
Well...it would be hell to be resurrected, only to find out you are going to die again, but for good this time.

But let me ask, in response to your question: If you just disappear because you're an unbeliever, is THAT hell?
If you live forever in hell, isn't that eternal life?

Jesus NEVER said that we need to do good works for the purpose of getting salvation.

He NEVER said that we need to do good works for the purpose of keeping salvation.

He also NEVER said that our good works will get us into heaven.

THESE ARE FACTS THAT CANNOT BE DISPUTED... :)

~Rom 1:5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

Obedience to the faith. Attentive hearkening is the definition.

Disobedience is unbelief.
Stone, you really should try to study what the difference is between:
obedience to the Law
Obedience of faith

What you say above is completely wrong.... as is much of what I hear on this thread and I do hope those reading along will study what I suggest and not listen to what is being said here..

So, what does hearken mean?:

Definition of hearken

hearkened; hearkeningplay \ˈhärk-niŋ, ˈhär-kə-\
intransitive verb
1
: listen
hearkened without much mental comment — Theodore Dreiser
2
: to give respectful attention
the humble folk who hearkened to these evangelists — G. M. Stephenson
transitive verb
archaic : to give heed to : hear

It means: TO LISTEN TO

Now let's see what OBEDIENCE means:

Webster Dictionary(4.00 / 3 votes)Rate this definition:

Obedience(noun)
the act of obeying, or the state of being obedient; compliance with that which is required by authority; subjection to rightful restraint or control

Obedience(noun)
words or actions denoting submission to authority; dutifulness

Obedience(noun)
a following; a body of adherents; as, the Roman Catholic obedience, or the whole body of persons who submit to the authority of the pope

Obedience(noun)
a cell (or offshoot of a larger monastery) governed by a prior

Obedience(noun)
one of the three monastic vows

Obedience(noun)
the written precept of a superior in a religious order or congregation to a subject

Origin: [F. obdience, L. obedientia, oboedientia. See Obedient, and cf. Obeisance.]

It means: The ACT of obeying; ACTION denoting submission

What YOU are saying is that OBEDIENCE TO FAITH is only LISTENING.

Do you not want to do ANYTHING FOR GOD but LISTEN?
Really, how lazy do we want to be?

OBEDIENCE TO FAITH does NOT mean to listen.
It means to OBEY BECAUSE WE HAVE FAITH.

It means to obey His word.
This means to obey what Jesus said.

Romans 1:5 says that we have received grace to bring about the obedience of faith.

Romans 16.26 All nations will show obedience of faith. Again, because of our faith in Christ.

Do you think that God tell us things so we could HEAR THEM

or do you think God tells us things so we could DO THEM?

42 And he commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one appointed by God to be judge of the living and the dead.. acts 10

when were you appoint judge, if you cannot understand context to scripture. etc

I guess you missed the point.

What was Jesus interested in?
What did He preach about?
Why did He become flesh?

He spoke about salvation 5 times.
He spoke about the Kingdom 100 times.

I don't understand your reply...

How could salvation NOT be undone?
What if we don't follow the rules of the Kingdom?
We get to stay in there anyway?
So how would God be a just God in that case?
Rules of the Kingdom? You apply earthly rules to spiritual things?

Seriously FranC, you missed the point. Jesus came as a sacrifice so we could have a loving relationship with the Father, reconciliation.

When that is received you are changed and then live by the Spirit of God Himself.

Yet you have rules or laws or whatever floats your boat to keep you in the Kingdom?

I have the sacrificial blood of the Christ and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit of God to keep me there.

You see it is all about Jesus, not you, not me, not your bloated ideology of what you accomplish in your daily life that saves and keeps you saved. It is God Almighty that does that.

Honestly your high horse must be so beaten down by now, one day maybe you will fall off and finally bow down to the Lord and fully thank Him for His Grace and Mercy!

Really, then offer a clear rebuttal to the Perfect Tense, where it is used in the New Testament by your own expertise, in Koine Greek....not present day Greek, but Koine Greek.

I will be waiting. :)

Until you can do that your gospel of salvation by works (front, back or middle) is false.
And you even got likes for the above!!!

What a club of believers in wrong doctrine!

SO...
UNLESS I COULD PROVE something I have CLEARLY stated I have no knowledge of and have no interest in
my gospel of salvation by works will be false.

LOL

1. Oh. It was accepted before?
2. Where was anything about Greek mentioned in the post you're replying to?
3. Can you read? Really. You say you're a teacher. Did you read that GREEK does NOT INTEREST ME?
4. You know the difference between today's Greek and the Koinè Greek.

Wonderful.

All is clear now.
There's smoke all over!!

In the OT yes, the choice was to obey law or not. And they could not. Had to sacrifice animals, young animals before they acted out of their maturity or the beast nature.

But, NT choice is will we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved from this untoward generation. Not sure what untoward means. Will look but it sounds bad. :)

Believing what God the Father has given is pleasing Him. Unbelief or rejection of the gospel will bring His wrath. And His wrath is not going to be poured out on His own members.
Next time someone tells me that no one here is saying NOT TO DO WORKS,
I'll have to remember THIS POST.

It's so incredible (not to be believed) that I have absolutely no answer for it.

IT SPEAKS FOR ITSELF.

No further comment is necessary.

And UG, who is Always saying how we ARE TO DO WORKS BECAUSE WE LOVE GOD,
is giving you a Like.

Unbelievable....

clear to who,
one thing is context, the other is , someone telling ,who cares what you are saying.

without context ,you have a bigger problem, that playing ping pong with scripture.

so, is Matthew 5 the entire Gospel? are these the only Words that Christ spoke on earth? or are they other Words that need to be used to balance ( not contradict ).

come on fran, you advised to " go deeper ", I am, why have not addressed anything I have posted lately?? too deep for you??
Too dumb for me.
Sorry.

Maybe I'm in the back seat with a chauffeur driving.
Oh yes.

I forgot!

Sorry.

You like to be driven around.

Unfortunately, God is up in heaven.
He gave you THE KEYS,
but you're not using them.

GOD IN NOT A CHAUFFER.
