You two enjoying yourselves?
Really the question of the accuracy of Scripture is pretty critical.
So no surprise that Jesus (the Word) would have talked about it
Yes Enow, I can relate to this. But flesh is also the human mind wanting to do things our own way.
The Wheat and Tares follows directly from the Parable of the Sower, where the seed is 'the word of the kingdom'.
So it does not seem unreasonable to see the wheat as accurate translations of the Word, and tares as malicious perverted translations, which nonetheless have every appearance, being Bibles, of being the Word.
According to Jesus in Matt 13:Jesus's Parables are of immense significance. Here for discussion is the parable of the wheat and the tares
Matthew 13
24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: 25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? 28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
...
36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. 37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. 40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. 41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
.....
49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, 50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.51 Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord. 52 Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.
I second that.According to Jesus in Matt 13:
38 – the field is the world
38 – the good seed are the children of the kingdom
38 – the tares are the children of the wicked one
39 – the enemy is the devil
39 – the harvest is the end of the world [Gr. aiōn = age]
39 – the reapers are the angels
40 – the tares are gathered and burned in fire
The tares are gathered from the "field" (the world) by the "reapers" (angels) and burned.
The fact that Jesus allows the tares to grow among the wheat in His kingdom does not mean that the tares were ever His.
Jesus very explicitly states the tares are the children of the wicked one (Matt 13:38).
Who is the wicked one?
I second that.

Matthew 13:38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;Enow said:In the parable of the wheat & the tares, this refers to those whom had received Him as they are in His kingdom and how they had grown whether in the world or as tares when moreso in the world.
The wheat are the saved..the tares the lost...they both grow side by side...the harvest is the end of the age...the reapers the angels....and a very interesting point.....GOD begins to move AGAINST THE TARES before he Gathers the wheat <---post trib ingathering.......
That's why I'm asking about revelation 11 with regards to the body of Christ during the time of the two witnesses testimonyThe parable needs to be put in it's correct context, the 1st century AD.
Mat 13:38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one
Jesus identifies who are "tare" children of the kingdom are previously:
Mat 8:11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 8:12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
The kingdom at that time was mixed with the believing children of God and the children of the wicked one.
where would you place the church during the time of the two witnesses' testimony?
Is the church raptured prior to the two witnesses testimony?
or after?
That's why I'm asking about revelation 11 with regards to the body of Christ during the time of the two witnesses testimony
This is about the partial rapture when God shall judge His House first at the pre trib rapture event. He is excommunicating saved believers found not abiding in Him, but receiving the vessels unto honor in His House.
It would be an assumption to believe that the furnace of fire is referring to hell or the lake of fire when there is a fire coming on the earth. Jesus cannot lose any one which is why He will get His lost sheep that went astray that were left behind as they will be resurrected after the great tribulation to be received in His House as vessels unto dishonor.
The weeping and gnashing of teeth is the loss of that first inheritance of being received as vessels unto honor in His House, but God will wipe the tears away from their eyes in performing that miracle to get past their loss for the prodigal son will find that he is still son as they will serve the King of kings in raising up the generations coming out of the milleniel reign of Christ.
Yes, but the idea here is side-by-side. As you say, that can be business, but also can be a Church setting too. Dennis Radar comes to mind..
This is what I'm referring towell spotted Enow. It is the Church.
Wheat = Church
Tares = Satanists in Church
