It wasn’t from me, but I don’t consider myself as any kind of prophet. I’m sure of that, because that’s not the way my mind works. I woke up this morning with an Aramaic word on my mind, so vivid that I couldn’t shake it for hours. The word was “anathema.” Up until today, I really never knew what it meant until I started digging into it.
anáthema, a thing set up or laid by in order to be kept, a curse, a man accursed, devoted to the direst ( extremely serious) of woes (great sorrow or distress).
“If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.” (1 Corinthians 16:22 KJV)
maràn athá, the Lord is coming, or will come, and is a “formal act or formula of consigning to damnation." This is an exclamation of the approaching divine judgment.
“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed (anáthema). (Galatians 1:8)
“But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved (anáthema) unto fire against the day of judgment (maràn athá) and perdition of ungodly men.” (2 Peter 3:7)
Noah and his family witness the total devastation of the earth, God’s wrath upon a corrupt world that was in the process of being destroyed unless He (our Lord and Master) intervened. They didn’t suffer God’s wrath, but they witnessed it first hand.
Matthew 24:38-39
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. (Luke 21:28)
