He Came To Take Away The Sin Of The World,[FONT=&quot]

[FONT=&quot]This is the event that happens with Christ crucified.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Naturally this does not make us perfect but it does[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]mean that we are now born into the Spirit, His grace[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]is unleashed upon us; but it is necessary for us to[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]accept that grace. A gift is not a gift to someone who[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]doesn't open the package. It doesn't mean we are[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]sin free either, we still need to come to Him so He can[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]cleanse our spirit. Each time He forgives our sin, we[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]have faith that we are reconciled with Him again. His[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]redemption has made us new again. Scripture says[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]though that if we don't forgive, neither will we be[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]forgiven. That also means that if we don't forgive the[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]sins we've committed, then we aren't forgiven. It does[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]not mean that Christ didn't forgive us, it means we[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]haven't accepted it. This is not for his sake but for our[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]own sake so that we can be constantly united with Him.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]As it says in Ecclesiastes, there is a time to throw past[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]stones away. In the same way we need to throw all of[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]our past sins away so we can become unburdened [/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]from them. To continue to carry all sins He has forgiven[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]is a sin in itself because it means that we don't trust that[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]He has set us free through redemption[/FONT]
 
"Lamp" of God? I thought John said He was the LAMB of God.

Did He also say,' I am the way, the truth, and the light.'

oops ...you got me there, smiles, of course it's the Lamb.

John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes
to the Father except through me.

He may have said I am the light somewhere but I haven't seen it,

There is this though...John 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said,
"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness,
but will have the light of life."
