Easter. As much as the bunny wants to stand out. The cross is nicer. Seems like everyone has been christianized in that matter. The egg hunt does no longer interest mom or the nieces. We don't patrionize That anymore. We're advancing my brother. We're getting there. Don't you think. ??

He's probably sad about the world in general but maybe He does not see 'us' as each one of us should have a personal relationship with the Lord. He sees you. He sees me.

I believe that God places in our heart the particular things that He would have us learn and acquire wisdom. This may or may not include knowing the origin of the days of the weeks or pagan holidays. Obviously, these things are important to you but they are probably not what a lot of other Christians are focusing on.

The responses that you have received on this pagan holiday thread are typical, and generally amusing in nature. It's part of the Christian fellowship that is shared on this site. It's not all doom and gloom here. If I said anything to offend you I'm sorry but I'm just trying to tell you like it is.

I'm happy to read something serious. Thanks.
If we say we only follow the Spirit, where is the confirmation of this spiritual persuasion? If we say we only follow the word, where is the confirmation of the truth in Spirit. The truth is only confirmed, according to scripture, by at least 2 witnesses. The Spirit and the Word work in synchronisation with each other. Ya can't have one without the other. If what we do as Christians, concerning observances of times and seasons, is not recorded in scripture, can we say it's God's will just because we've made it a habit of sanctioning it on our own trying to incorporate our own doctrines into what is not sanctioned in His Word?

So basically the question is, why do people like to celebrate Halloween and Valentines Day etc and why do they like to put fir trees up and decorate them and wrap things up to be opened on December 25th ?

The Country is Christian, so we start off as christians. Ahem.

unobtrusive, of course I am completely serious about serving God, playing sometimes is actually a part it even in a thread in which the OP is a serious topic, playing can be a good way of sending a message or teaching something. To me I see that you're thinking is not completely black and white about how reality is but on this subject it is black and white when in reality there is great complexity about this.
Thank you for not trying to joke about this serious matter that seems to never have been taken seriously enough in my lifetime.
Compromising is not a word that is used in the Bible as being righteous/correct. Balaam did it, and that's detestable to God.
To compromise is to make concessions or accommodations for someone who does not agree with a prevalent set of standards or rules. The Bible makes it clear that God does not condone compromising His standards: “Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the LORD. Joyful are those who obey His laws and search for Him with all their hearts. They do not compromise with evil, and they walk only in His paths. You have charged us to keep Your commandments carefully” (Psalm 119:1-4)

I never compromise in serving God.

Sometimes the bible says something about "to this day" that is when you better believe
100% sure that the people does these things "to this day" so there is your answer.

God is very much a have it your way kind of person, He's my father, I'm very much the same in that regard.

Santa Clause is a guy who has never met Jesus before, lol, apparently.

"You have the right to have what you want, exactly when you want it. Because on the menu of life you are "Today's Special". And tomorrow's. And the day after that. And well you get the drill. Yes that's right, we may be the king but you my friend are the almighty ruler."

Deuteronomy 30:19

I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live,
