I didnt think you were being smarty. New word. Might use it. Lol

The one prophetic poem that I received said, you child are the Bride. The dream I had about being ushered into the wedding by security, I was the mother of the Groom. There's a mystery. I thought that meant the Sons. Producing The Christ.

Perhaps we advance?
not sure....still studying...

this is very correct. I apologize once again to all parties. bad judgement on my part, no excuses.
Thank you for the apology.

I forgive you, because I know before the Lord all things are clear and simple, and I hold
nothing against anyone.

My point stands, truth, our yes and no, how we listen to the simple words of Christ.

We will have to answer to Him for every miss-placed word especially against His people.

What does make me wonder is why love is so hard for some to face and walk in?
The two commandments of our faith are all about ........ love.

We are called to be an open accepting people, who are humble, gracious and caring.

Is this the message you the reader seem to have continual issues with?
Imagine you best friend who has just saved your life, needs some help. Would you
ignore them and talk as if they are stranger, or jump at the opportunity?

I agree that lazy Christians are not devoid of spiritual growth.

With regards to the parable of the talents I don't fully get it.

One was given 5, one was given 2 and one was given 1.

5 returned 5, 2 returned 2.

Jesus said for both 5 & 2

Matthew 25:21
21 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

as for the person given 1 I don't get.

Matthew 25:26-28

26 “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. 27 So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. 28 So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.

Anyway I think what worries me that a believer can appear as lazy but in fact may not be.
A hurting person, a person who feels God does not love then and nothing thay can do will make God love them, will possibly sit back and in a sense say "What can I do?

That doesn't mean they are not necessarily growing as such. Because even in their state if they are calling out to God "I need you I need help" the spiritually they are growning even if they don't realise it.

Then at some point God honours their request, then they are set free and then God uses them to help others who have struggled as well.

Given my experience he uses us to help people who are struggling with the same thing.

Spiritually growing without realising it.
Matt 25.29-30<<<<read the rest of the story...

. [SUP]28 [/SUP]Therefore take away the talent from him, and give it to the one who has the ten talents.’
[SUP]29 [/SUP]“For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away. [SUP]30 [/SUP]Throw out the worthless slave into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

If we are given something from God, it is expected that there is a return...a Lazy Christian that takes the gift and does nothing with it is called wicked and lazy....and the little he had is taken away and he is cast out.....

A baby in Christ is what Rosemary is...

A lazy believer takes the free gift and does nothing with it....parable of the buried talent....anyone?

A baby in Christ takes the word and sows it and eventually produces 30, 60 or 100 hundred fold fruit....
I was just thinking that I am not lazy, I believe Ii still drink the Spiritual milk, but I am now chewing the solids :)...xox..

This is the problem, and we have been over this before. And as usual, You still do not get why I say this.

It is not talking as a believer to another believer who is trying to grow in christ, It is talking to people who think they must earn salvation.

Of course, I have said this so many times, why you still insist to take me out of context is on you.

Your joking right? Did John say anyone who commits even 1 sin has never seen or known God?

If not. Who is he talking to? I have given you my opinion numerous times, how about we see your opinion?
If you feel eternal security is the only doctrine in the Bible you will see it as you do...If you take a look at who John was addressing, and it was about false teachers with a spirit of antichrist and Gnostic's that had invaded the church, you might see it different....

Her statement did not come across to me as doing something KEEP our faith. I think what she was saying is, HE WILL KEEP US SECURE In HIM, because hanging on to Salvation is not something that is in our Hands, but rather our Salvation is totally in HIS HANDS.

John 10:27-30 (ESV)
[SUP]27 [/SUP] My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
[SUP]28 [/SUP] I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.
[SUP]29 [/SUP] My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.
[SUP]30 [/SUP] I and the Father are one.”

He gives us ETERNAL LIFE, and it is NOT Eternal, if we can loose it. Jesus Christ and the Father are BOTH holding on to our SALVATION.

NOW, that good seed of SAVING FAITH, if it is genuine, will produce a HARVEST of Obedience, motivated by LOVE FOR HIM. NOT to keep our SALVATION, but rather as a way for us to personally SHOW OUR LOVE FOR HIM.

John 14:15 (HCSB)

[SUP]15 [/SUP]If you love Me, you will keep My commands.

John 14:21 (HCSB)
[SUP]21 [/SUP] The one who has My commands and keeps them is the one who loves Me.
And the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father. I also will love him and will reveal Myself to him.”

So where does the ability to LOVE like that come from? I will refer you to what I think is the MOST OVER-LOOKED VERSE IN THE BIBLE:

Romans 5:5 (HCSB)
[SUP]5 [/SUP] This hope will not disappoint ⌊us⌋, because
God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. If we have the ability to LOVE GOD by striving to WALK IN OBEDIENCE, that is NOT something we can pat ourselves on theback for, THAT IS A WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

It is proof that the Holy Spirit is in our Heart, and proof that HE poured GOD'S LOVE directly into our heart.

I know some will say, but I have seen people who were born again Christians loose their Faith and walk away from GOD. NO YOU DIDN'T, what you saw was a pretend born again Christian, loose interest in pretending any longer, and therefore he or she walked away from GOD, and their Salvation was NEVER something they had in the first place.

1 John 2:19 (NKJV)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.

The only exception to that rule that I know of, is a Prodigal, but the PRODIGAL WILL COME BACK. The Pretend Christians, never come back. They literally prove that they NEVER were born again in the first place. So why do we bother to put up with phonies in our midst, showing them the LOVE, that the Holy Spirit poured into our hearts?

Romans 10:17 (NASB)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

Because that is how everyone of us, came to the Knowledge of that genuine SAVING FAITH.
Yeah we got it straightened out.....thanks

The word knew in Romans 1.21 is ginōskō
Strongs G1097

  1. to learn to know, come to know, get a knowledge of perceive, feel
    1. to become known
  2. to know, understand, perceive, have knowledge of
    1. to understand
    2. to know
Having a knowledge of the fact that there is a (THE) God does not imply saving faith into the work of Christ and or the fact that JESUS knows them by faith....That is my view on it....creation itself proves there is a (the) God, just like the demons that believe, yet this does not equate to saving faith....

Abraham did the works of faith and it was imputed to him as righteousness..How did he do this? God tells us how in Gen. 26-5

26:5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws. (this is speaking of the moral law of God, later to be scripted by God as the 10 commandments) all of the 10 commandments can be found in the book of Genesis...

Faith isn’t static, but rather is a tandem work done in heart purity.......be blessed
Regardless.....PAUL concluded 2 things based upon Abraham and was INSPIRED BY JESUS to write...

a. We conclude a man is justified by faith without works
b. Abraham believed God and it was put to his account for righteousness

and then goes on to quote DAVID in the following...

David described the blessedness of the man to who God imputes righteousness without the deeds of the law (works)

No matter HOW many times you push a working for, sinless perfectionist preservation/salvation it will not alleviate the simple truth of the three points above......

again, for those interested in the conversation.

My argument was that a true child of God who became lazy is better off than a non child of God who is busy doing works in a church thinking they are saved, but not saved.

It has nothing to do with licentious believers, who have never been saved, or people who claim to have faith but have no work, because they are hearers only not doers.

it was in response to people saying OSAS breads easy believism, and can cause a person to live in sin, because there is nothing stoping him..

i.e., replacing eternal security with works, based in a reason that it can cause people to be lazy or live in sin is worse than teaching people a works based gospel. Which is no gospel at all.

Licentious people are doomed, Jude says their condemnation was set in stone. Teaching against eternal security to fight licentiousness is not going to help

a laze BELIEVER is still better off than a BUSY non believer. Who has NEVER KNOWN GOD.

So so are you saying that John is addressing Gnostics here?
Absolutely....Gnostic and those with a spirit of antichrist are unbelievers, right?

when we quote 1 verse it becomes a doctrine...proper context shows us who John was warning them of...

Many here tell us this all day long...and hang a salvation hat on it...but is that really what it is all about?

1 John 2.19
[SUP]19 [/SUP]They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be shown that they all are not of us.

now lets add some other verses....

[SUP]18 [/SUP]Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour.

now 19

[SUP]19 [/SUP]They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be shown that they all are not of us.

Now 20-24

[SUP]20 [/SUP]But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all know. [SUP]21 [/SUP]I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it, and because no lie is of the truth. [SUP]22 [/SUP]Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. [SUP]23 [/SUP]Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also. [SUP]24 [/SUP]As for you, let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father.

You can see now that John was not even talking about salvation as much of a warning agaisnt those fasle teachers who invaded the church....

True Gnostic doctrine of John's day did not believe Jesus came in the flesh or was the Christ, but simply the supreme being and was just a human not divinity......we also get into error here when we call the Beast of the book Revelation, the antichrist and the word antichrist is not found anywhere in the book of Revelation and found strictly in the book of 1 John.

Syncretism was proliferating in the early church, so 1 John is a letter warning babes in Christ[children], adolescents[young men] elders[fathers] of false teachers and how to test them....I do not see 1 John 2.19 as a salvation scripture at all...

Your true self is emerging, may I suggest you take a break?

Just because you have never heard of something does not make untrue....this is the first rule of any serious scholar, secular or Christian...will never violate....they will seek, study and find the answer....In this case, history and commentary refute you and soundly....

It is also very evident you have no clue about Gnostic doctrine and the fact it is very much alive today and is at the very core of the spirit of antichrist that is in the world now....Instead of manifesting senseless eisegesis about this subject it would be wisdom for you to study it out beyond CC.

You are overreacting because the truth of this passage proves without any doubt that it is not at all talking about salvation and takes away an apologetic weapon people think they have had forever....

Wisdom would make you relax and ask the question, why did John talk about the spirit of antichrist and constantly and consistently warn believers not to believe people when they said Jesus was not the supreme being or savior....

Answer that.... and you may grow beyond the level you are most comfortable staying in...

totally agree and not saying that...saying that deep down, people know God is real and he exists and many know what Jesus did for them......they chose to deny him....
