What I found interesting is the Palestinians and Jews get along just fine, the way the news always shows it you would think they are at each others throats all the time. You see the Jews and Palestinians drinking tea and laughing together all the time. Then again you could hear missles blowing up that were courtesy of hamas, other then that you would never know there was a problem.
We all know the news media never reports things as they really are.

There always seems to be something added or left out.

They rarely if ever tell anything like it really is.

Thanks for the insight... :)

What is your take on this verse. How could this possibly be a fire event?

Matthew 10:23 KJV
But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.

your issue is trying to just take in One verse and make that exclude the rest man. thats not How scripture works. One doesnt argue the next they are all showing a bigger picture. Jesus is not explaining just One event Here the question is

"matthew 24:3-51 " And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?"

a fire event im not sure do you guys like think there is no end coming with Fire and destruction? like thats already happened or something? im not sure really anymore in this forum what people believe. this Just this chapter here look at How mush in the epistles repeat this stuff. from paul, peter, John in revelation. there is definately an end coming Like in the day of Noah like Jesus says here

But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

the return Of Jesus described all through scripture,

mark 13:24-27 "But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven. <<<<<

how are you able to dispute stuff like this based on one verse when you omit the question and all the rest that creates context of all thats being said? i think thats a huge issue to try to take a verse, and contend with the next verse rather than 1 adding to and building on the next to understand whats actually being said. start with the context of the questions asked, then look into the 2 part answer. some of it did happen in ad 67-70. there was not a single stone left on another, litterally of the temple in jerusalem, and even Now a mosque which reads " God has no son certainly" sits on the temple Mount where Jesus the Son of God sat in these times.

there is really no argument whether this concerns the end lol He says it over and over, as always what happened to destroy Jerusalem, is a pattern for what is to come at the end of the World. an event of fire id say look Here

2 peter 3:2-7 "That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:3Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,4And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

5For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
its not gonna be a floating on a cloud everyone holding hands kinda thing those fire and brimstone sermons back in the real day that humanists cginge to hear are just as true as the rest of Gods Word. Gotta either believe it all

IMO - Matthew 24 is talking about the coming destruction to Jerusalem and the Temple system in 70 AD. Jesus is telling the Jews what was going to happen.

For example - Pray that it not be on a Sabbath day - why? Because by Jewish law people were not allowed to move around on their religious day.
I think these verses show us that 70 AD was NOT intended:

Mt 24:14
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Mt 24:27
27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

They do nothing from 6 pm Friday evening to Saturday 6 pm. In Jerusalem there is a street Ben Yehuda where all the night clubs are and it is died Friday night, but come Saturday after 6 pm and it is jumping off. You can not have a cheese burger or a pizza with cheese and meat, it is sauce and meat or cheese and sauce unless the resturant is owned by a Palestinian. Every household has two refrigerators one for diary and the other for meats. They observe all of the sabbath rules and the dieatry laws as they undderstand them.

Friday evenings and Saturday mornings until evening in the hotels, stores, resturants and other services are all P
alestinians working, no Jews if there is any it's few and far between. What I found interesting is the Palestinians and Jews get along just fine, the way the news always shows it you would think they are at each others throats all the time. what about the thousands of years of war? the fact that muslims control the temple mount ? what about gaza strip? all the suicide bombings ? or the dancing in the streets on 911? they have been enemies for thousands of years, israel was reinstated in 1947 since then israel has been the terrorists main target in the world. since the overthrow of constantinople, to the invasion of jerusalem later by islam. they have been enemies the middle east conflict has been the most perplexing foreign policy issue since western world began. theres a definite problem lol

amen there alot there really impossible to claim it isnt concerning the end as well where as this verse

matthew 24:2 "And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

that actually happened, when rome invaded in ad 67-70 they destroyed the temple and melted all the gold, some of it got between the stones so they literally left not one on another to scavenge the precious metals.

one day we will learn to let the spirit interpret through the word and realize there more that One aspect to almost everything God Has said. and that He has established principles he will always stick to faithfully

God bless

I agree.....Jesus certainly didn't want it to happen. Jesus spoke this about Jerusalem. "How often I would have gathered you like a chicken with her chicks - but you would not." in the KJV

Matthew 23:37-38 (NASB)
[SUP]37 [/SUP]
"Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling.

[SUP]38 [/SUP] "Behold, your house is being left to you desolate!

its no different for christians now, we too can be unwilling to follow. your right there are parts of this stemming from the book of daniel that are fulfilled with the destruction of jerusalem, there is also alot that isnt yet fulfilled in chapters like this especially when you see it so consistantly through Scripture. before and after.

revelation shows us there was mush yet to come when it was written. eventually there is a reconing that ends up for us all at this point

revelation 20: 11-14 " And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."

this is whats Known as a principle, you find it from the beginning to the end solomon, david, daniel, ezekiel, Jesus Christ, Paul the apostle, peter the apostle, John the apostle......all of them wrote of a day when Jesus would return to gather the faithful, all of them wrote of a day like the flood in noahs time, daily life going on and then like a thief in the night. there He is coming in the clouds. its what christians are meant to live for. the day of counting, the day when all wrongs are made right.

From daniel telling of the Son of man in the clouds surrounded By the Holy angels , on its really clear. the days of Noah was a flood, Our days is fire but there is an end coming.

I do hope you are making a joke here.

Not at all willie, im not aware of the Jews werent allowed to move law. sure im aware of the commandment to do no work on the sabbath, i honestly think it would take a pharicytical thought process to interpret that as they were not allowed to move on the sabbath. Kind of what the issue was to begin with, the letters v the spirit of the law.

when it comes to the sabbath, it is about Honoring God through rest. this doesnt mean if a person moves around lol then they have dishonored God somehow. if a neighbor needs Help on a sabbath and it rewuires work to help them.....thats One thing. if ill get paid doubletime for working on a sabbath, thats another. all of Gods Law is to be seen with the spirit otherwise you have men interpreting Gods Word, man is flesh God is spirit the 2 are in contradiction. this is the very reason we need to go to Jesus for understanding rather than the pharisees, or the nothing applies faction.

Jesus and the disciples moved around on the sabbath, taught alot about it really. The Law of Moses is not incinerated By The gospel, it is understood through the gospel. the interpretations of the Law have always been the issue not the Law itself, but man misunderstanding and mis interpreting the Law. the solution is to go through Jesus and the gospel, its the eyes and ears offered By God.

Yes the Sabbath was given so that men could fulfill the great commission to go out into the world baptizing mankind with the gospel, the true fast. Not the kind of fast that the disciples failed in casting out the lying spirits. Neither received the rest that comes from not hardening ones heart when the gospel is heard. therefore not understanding by faith by but walking by sight putting restrictions on how far a person could go. Which is to the end of the world not a measurement in inches but time.

im not really sure where you are coming from here the sabbath was given for this reason

exodus 20:9-11 "Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:10But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it."

the sabbath is about remembering, resting in the holiness of God. it has nothing to do with the great comission ( that i myself can really see anyways) when you look at it from the foundation of the gospel its understood as to the spirit of the Law. if someone needs help with something and it requires work we shouldnt refuse to help and claim its our sabbath. the "rules" are not as important to God, as the people the laws were written for, to protect the many from evil. the Law all of it is a good thing when it says "thou shalt not kill" that is for the people, it is only against the murderer. or "thou shalt not commit adultery" that is for the married couple, the faithful spouses, it is only against the adulterer.

when it says "thou shalt not steal" that is a protection for the peoples property, it is only against the thief...ect. " Honor the sabbath and keep it Holy, because God simply said to do that n remembrance of our creator. that is also for us. rest is important in our lives important both physically and mentaly, emotionally. all of Gods Laws are that way they are all good for mankind, they are however against the Lawbreakers. a thief is condemned by the law, adulterers, murderers, Liars, blasphemers ect. But the law works for those who abide in it.

just like societies Laws work to protect us and create an ordered existance, just and fair. The Law of God, all of it including the sabbath is good right, Just and true, it is holy. Yet from the gospel perspective the letters in the law arent as important as the spirit of the Law which is now and Has always been " Love thy neighbor as thyself and in doing so You Honor and serve God, who made Laws for us to create order and peace, structure, Justice mercy and all of the good things of mankind.

many things are about remembering, reflecting upon Gods Works for us. Both His work of creation, Hos sacrifice on the cross at calvary and the work He still does daily in our Lives. the spirit of the Law is the truth of the Law. whether the sabbath, or any other subject, thats what the gospel is for to understand the spirit of the Law that is eternal. so rather than me serving by the letter and refusing to Give Help to someone based on the Law, i will Help my neighbor and Honor Gods Law in truth whether it is a sabbath or a tuesday. does this mean i shouldnt honor the sabbath? not at all. by any means its about Living a life of righteousness and expressed through Brotherly Love, in deed and truth. we should Honor God every day by caring for One another, that is His will to do no Harm to each other, and even More, be a Help, a comfort, a true brother in time of need to all who need.
