You can receive the crown of life by faith in Jesus Christ to help you to do this below.

James 1:[SUP]12 [/SUP]Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.[SUP] 13 [/SUP]Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:[SUP] 14 [/SUP]But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.[SUP]15 [/SUP]Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.[SUP] 16 [/SUP]Do not err, my beloved brethren.

Romans 13:[SUP]13 [/SUP]Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.[SUP]14 [/SUP]But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

1 Corinthians 10:[SUP]12 [/SUP]Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.[SUP]13 [/SUP]There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Hebrews 2:[SUP]18 [/SUP]For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

Hebrews 4:[SUP]12 [/SUP]For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.[SUP] 13 [/SUP]Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.[SUP] 14 [/SUP]Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.[SUP] 15 [/SUP]For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.[SUP]16 [/SUP]Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

1 Peter 4:[SUP]12 [/SUP]Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:[SUP] 13 [/SUP]But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

1 Peter 5:[SUP]6 [/SUP]Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: [SUP]7 [/SUP]Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 6Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: [SUP]9 [/SUP]Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. [SUP]10 [/SUP]But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 11To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Philippians 1:[SUP]6 [/SUP]Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:[SUP] 7 [/SUP]Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.[SUP] 8 [/SUP]For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.[SUP] 9 [/SUP]And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;[SUP] 10 [/SUP]That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.[SUP]11 [/SUP]Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

1 John 3:[SUP]3 [/SUP]And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure....[SUP]8 [/SUP]He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

2 Timothy 4:[SUP]18 [/SUP]And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Jude 1:[SUP]24 [/SUP]Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,[SUP] 25 [/SUP]To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Any saint receiving that crown of life will be showing off the Lord's crowning achievements in him or in her. That is why we will be glad for that crown for that testifies to what the Lord has done in us and through us which is to our praise and thanksgiving to Him and thus to His glory alone in Heaven.

It is no wonder why the 24 elders shall cast their crowns at His feet for those crowns are His crowning achievements in them.

Revelation 4:[SUP]9 [/SUP]And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,[SUP] 10[/SUP]The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,[SUP] 11 [/SUP]Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Here is another way to get the crown of life which is to encourage those going through persecution to lean on Him to endure.

Revelation 2:[SUP]9 [/SUP]I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.[SUP]10 [/SUP]Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Hebrews 2:[SUP]18 [/SUP]For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

1 Peter 2:[SUP]19 [/SUP]For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.[SUP] 20 [/SUP]For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.[SUP] 21 [/SUP]For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:[SUP] 22 [/SUP]Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:[SUP] 23 [/SUP]Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:[SUP] 24 [/SUP]Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.[SUP]25 [/SUP]For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

Only believers will receive eternal life so only believers will receive the crown of life.

Eternal life would mean you always have existed since the eternal always was and always will be. Like it is written in John 5:39:

Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. John 6:64

Since eternal life is a gift and the crown of life is a reward, they cannot be the same thing. The context also makes this very clear. The Gospel is very clear that salvation (eternal life) is the gift of God to those who believe (Romans 6:23).

Can one one not be rewarded with a gift?

i know people say a reward is earnt and a gift is given etc.. to me it is a gift, reward or prize.. all undeserved but He made a way for us by His Grace to be forgiven and Reconciled if we believe unto the saving of our souls .. the end being eternal life.

Romans 6

20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

we are made free from sin to serve GOD.. our fruit is unto holiness.. and the end is Everlasting life.

Saved believers can lose their crowns and be left behind at the pre trib rapture for being in unrepentant iniquity but still be saved. That is what makes the saints vessels unto dishonor in His House for not looking to the author & finisher of our faith to help them lay aside every weight & sin to not only get that crown of life, but to be received as a vessel unto honor in His House to attend the Marriage Supper held in His honor and to His glory.

Hebrews 12:1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,[SUP]2 [/SUP]Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

1 Corinthians 9:[SUP]24 [/SUP]Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.[SUP] 25 [/SUP]And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.[SUP]26 [/SUP]I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:[SUP]27 [/SUP]But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

So losing the crown of life is not the only risk for not departing from iniquity by His grace & by His help, but becoming a castaway is at the pre trib rapture event only to be received later on as vessels unto dishonor in His House after the great tribulation.

Rewards are earned, not gifted. God's gifts (unlike man's) are freely given by His grace and only because of who He is, not because of what we are, or what we have done (or not done). Please study the letters to the seven churches, addressed to those who have already received the gift of eternal life. Some Christians in each of those churches would receive rewards for what they did. Paul deals with the questions of rewards (or forfeiting of rewards) also in some depth.

To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

...be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out:

Just check out these passages also:

Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. (2 Cor 5:9,10)

For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me. What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel. (1 Cor 9:16-18)

For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. (1 Cor 3:11-15)

I believe we can be blotted out , we can be spewed out, we can not receive our crown... on this belief I'm provoked to Strengthen what remains to strive to be perfect like He asks.... if I declare I have Everlasting life my mind and heart would become complacent.. Now I know GOD is Faithful and just and His promise is sure.. and that it is only my lack of believing to the saving of my soul that needs to be encouraged through by the Messiah Words. I believe what He declares is provoking us to be perfect by believing Him.

All the Strengthening and guiding Is His way to lead us to narrow gate.

Are you trying to avoid the teaching on rewards by making this statement? What you have mentioned is not relevant to the discussion on rewards.

While receiving crown rewards is based upon how we have lived as Christians, no one who has received the gift of eternal life and the gift of the Holy Spirit will be blotted out or spewed out. Those terms are addressed to those who are not truly children of God, but say they are Christians.

That is not what I believe is being shared by the Messiah.

Those things are for ears that Hear to keep us believing to the saving of our souls I believe. You are free to believe otherwise and here we share without malice.

Can I ask if your belief a widely accepted teaching?

The reward is with the Lord and it is the right to the Tree of life for those who keep the Commandments.

Now I'm willing to hear beliefs different to my own. But I don't want to argue with any malice other than sharing to learn of each other and share insight.

Because when all said and done done we each will come before Christs Judgement seat and we want to provoke each other to Love and obey as we have been loved.

What reward is given to those who Keep His Commandments?

The blotting out means what to you?

The Holy Spirit being taken back from the person who was not a child of GOD?
