Absolutely, let us continue to pray for all in Florida. We have friends who live in various parts of Florida. Most evacuated, but some rode out the storm. I imagine that for a while it will be very chaotic for the Post Office in the areas hit the hardest.
Our post office has been closed since last Thursday and as of Tuesday we haven't gotten mail yet. Would not want to have to do that first day delivery after that long not delivering... Back breaking work.... I will probably get a post office box at my door full.

Blond.......Tourist........if you guys lost your power, when you get it back, let us know you are ok.

I'm "hunkered down" waiting on whatever comes here.........methinks it will be a lot of rain and some 40-50 MPH wind gusts, which is gonna knock down some trees 'n' such, and could knock out our power......but other than that.......... :)

John 14:27
- Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Blond is back!!! Irma took out our power at 7:52 pm on Sunday and around noonish today we have POWER!!! You just don't realize how many things are dependent on electricity. Tourist was thinking we will have pancakes for breakfast yesterday... but noooo way no power to cook the pancakes...

The good news in a bad situation was that Irma pulled down dry cooler air from the north so when the power came back on it was only 80 degrees in the house and we keep our air at 78 so it wasn't bad at all and cool at night with the slider door open upstairs. Not too hot -

I thank God the power is back on because I sleep with a sleep apnea machine and did have a couple of rough nights not getting very good sleep and then there is that little threat of not breathing while sleeping.... We are o.k. and thanking God for all the prayers and His mercy and protection during and after the storm.

I know how eerie it is without power at night... we had a pre-planned power outage one night so they could upgrade the equipment here and it was so dark. Not even the streetlights were on. The only light came from the moon...

People don't realize how much light comes from their little clocks or the power buttons on their computers or the little LEDs on their power adapters and stuff. Those tiny lights actually provide just enough light to see stuff when you need to get up and walk around. Without them its pitch black.

And I'm so glad to hear that you guys and your house are ok! :D

Easy fix....generate your own power....I have three solar grids with battery banks, use a generator, keep gas on hand etc......always have power......
