So I had a family member,a cousin of my mothers. I never knew her but my mother did.She was promiscuous very young. People just figured she was a bad seed,a naughty girl. It was later in life that it was found out that he father was abusing her both physically and sexually along with her brother. But for some reason he left one of the daughters alone. She never had an issue with acting out in anger,as the son did,or promiscuity,as the other daughter did. So I think you'd better put your "BS" meter back in your pocket. I'm not liberal in any way. But if you think that abuse doesn't affect a person later in life you're being ridiculous. There's no doubt that it does. I have not condoned what this woman has done, and she knows she's wrong. I'm saying the reason for her addiction may go deeper. And that she needs to find healing in Christ. So put the stones back in your pocket and walk away.
