Moses was holy, He spoke face to face with God.
Aaron the high priest was Holy, he had to enter the holy of holies each year.

The truth is if you want to say every reference to a word means something else
than the word you can, and not surprisingly you will come to a different conclusion
than is intended. The only way to stop this is look at the different options and at
the end decide.

Nothing with God is obvious, because He is God, and He changes us as we seek
Him so why you started is not why you finish, and what you never could do seems
easy. So I have no easy reference points other than we are not what we think,
and our limits are defined by God not us, Hallelujah.

Actually satan would want us to think of ourselves as holy so that he can make us think we are any comparison to God,especially in Glory or power.

Amen 100 times over, we have been trying to tell him that for over a year now. I pray the lights will come on and he finally sees it!

Not sure this works. What does work for me was this phrase "It is not your fault"
So much of what we are and where we are is just circumstance yet we blame ourselves.
Jesus comes to us to say "I know" How could anyone face Nero, or the Nazis or Isis
and not wish it was different. But to know Christ embraces and accepts us is profound.

Part of this is Him cleansing us. Now I know the beauty of most here and their good
hearts with desire to serve. Do you think God does not see this also?
So many are pastors, counsellors, leading groups, giving time and energy to others.
As they are growing in grace, not noticing they are changing. So self deprecating
some will not admit they do anything, yet many rely on there giving.
So the treasure within burns but to admit it, too much.

But we need to value each other and the gifts we bring. Some guys in our church
always brought a critical mind, which helped bring balance to those who would rush
off. It is always hard to love, but then it would not be love otherwise. God bless

Many do not know what innocent desire is, a feeling that is a simple need that
has an answer that is not sinful.

Some are so damaged, desire is all sinful. In this is the error and lie of the enemy.
Jesus was tempted to eat, but He answered His true need was to do Gods will.

Become like children and rediscover innocence with the Lord.
So many are so alone, with no one, no friends, no care, no support, which is why this site
is some help. But it cannot come close to one to one with people. God bless you.

Amen 100 times over, we have been trying to tell him that for over a year now. I pray the lights will come on and he finally sees it!
Which is why I am so compassionate toward peter because Satan will have his followers and God has always had followers I would never want anyone to follow satan through Deception, pride and stubbornness can lead a person down that path,Peter certainly looks sincerely like he serves God or would want to serve God to the best of his ability, but some things no matter how long it takes need to be realized, whether 40 years or 100 years, one must learn one's place in life even Job who was known as perfect before the lord yet he himself saw that he was a sinner and that God had good reason for his being afflicted even though he knew not a reason for it,satan tempting and afflicting Job.
Even Moses whom was loved so much by God that he would have liked for Moses to see his face but he knew Moses could not for it was written that "none" shall look upon God's face and live,so Moses certainly wasn't pure or Holy but a devout and loved servant of God.

We have a concept confusion here.

On idea is you cover up problems by just putting over a covering and imagining it has gone away.
The other is Jesus's blood dealing with confessed and repented of sin, which are removed
and cleansed.

I am suggesting there is a difference between the two.
One is fake the other real.

The fake for me is unconfessed and unrepentented of sin which is held and continued in
rebellion against the King.

Some peoples theology makes no distinction between the two and condemns the second
principle and claims it is unnecessary and implies disbelief in the ability of God to remove
the penalty of unconfessed and unrepented of sin, which is 100% unbiblical.
No the confusion was TOTALLY ON YOUR PART.

I am sorry for you dc.

You believe your emphasis is so right and mine so wrong, I am satanic and you are
walking with Christ.

Let me take your reasons for saying this.
1. Covering sin, not repenting or confessing it is ok because Jesus forgives you
2. Jesus does everything the believe does not have to do anything

For me to object to these two theological positions is satanic.

You know when the pharisees concluded Jesus was satanic because He claimed
to be the Messiah and be able to forgive sins, you have fallen into the same trap.

It unfortunately is not a place people ever seem to get out of.
You still are proclaiming false Doctrine, or you have GREAT DIFFICULTLY EXPLAINING YOURSELF.

The way I am hearing You, as do majority of the others here; is YOU think your obedience counts towards your Salvation.

THAT IS A LIE.

JESUS DID IT ALL, ALL TO HIM I OWE. We believe OUR Obedience is ONLY an Expression of our LOVE FOR HIM, PRODUCED in us AFTER HE SAVED us, by the HOLY SPIRIT pouring GOD's Love in our HEARTS.

Amen! Although we are commanded to BELIEVE and will be held accountable for UNBELIEF, (John 3:18) saving belief/faith in Christ is never exclusively a matter of human decision.

Unless the Father draws us in (John 6:44) and enables us/unless it has been granted to him by My Father (John 6:65) we would NEVER come to saving faith in Christ all by ourselves.

The approach of the soul to Christ is initiated by the Father, but He doesn't force us to choose Christ either, we must choose Him. The impulse to faith in Christ comes from God.

The Ministry of Jesus Son of God

"The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;" Isaiah61:1

The Prayer of Jonah

But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed.
"Salvation is of the LORD." Jonah2:9

After God saved Jonah and put him on dry ground this was Jonah's Prayer to God and it could be our prayer to God as well if we are not saved today, because He is not far from any one of us, praise God.

It is good to listen to you guys, because I can try out different approaches and see which
ones you understand or do not understand.

The disciples with Jesus had a hard time understanding Him. For Peter everything was fine,
he had realised Jesus was the Messiah, he had a good relationship with his best friend, his
best friend approved of him, and they were on their way to conquer the world, on the winning
side.

Except Jesus said he was going to die.

From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.
Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. “Never, Lord!” he said. “This shall never happen to you!”
Matt 16:21-22

Peter later on is with Jesus and Jesus says they will all run away, Peter says
Even if all fall away on account of you, I never will.
Matt 26:33

He was impetuous, prone to quick conclusions, and to saying the wrong thing.

But most of the time he was a good man, and loved His Lord.

Now the way some talk, salvation, a fear of judgement and a desire for reward drives
them, loving Christ is going a little too far. Actually believing His commands have value
and should be followed, that is a joke.

The whole point of Jesus coming to earth, was so that we might become one with Him
and know the heart of God, not as some distant relationship but as our best friend, the
one we honour and love.

It is hard to describe the idea of losing this, but I think more, people do not quite begin
to walk with Him, and find the cost and implications too much and would rather just compromise.

Some discover for them there is no other alternative but some sort of faith, so a compromise,
stay as they are, and God is happy. In Christ and the brokenness of their lives, this might be the
best they can achieve. Are they saved? God knows. For me many of these folk are frozen between
worlds, benefiting from those who have real live faith and those who are given over to sin and the
passions of this world. But nothing will change for them, because they fear they will fall apart.

So Jesus is our Lord and friend, the giver of live and resurrection. Have faith in Him and find life.

is YOU think your obedience counts towards your Salvation.
My friend, salvation was never the issue, the issue is loving God.
It is a strange thing, but to love God you have to get to know Him and really see How he works,
begin to feel His will, and know the complex balance of relationships and power that is at stake.

What Jesus said at the end of the sermon on the mount is, "I never knew you." to some.

Knowing, when push comes to shove is hard. How many really know each other? Does a wife
know a husband, or a child their parents or siblings each other?

To know Christ, to feel His heart, to know the Fathers will, is to obey. Not only does sin upset
Him, it upsets you. It is love and reaching out and finding people, where they are with their
strengths and weaknesses. Each day they wake and learn how the world is, and what they can
do.

So the language you talk and its way shows just a complete missing of what we are in Christ
and who our Lord is in our lives.

In someways it is not that this is not part of how you work with Him and in Him, it is your
language and ideas may not have caught up with the spiritual reality.

So I, me, must be wrong to many, because I do not use the right religious language or
phrases, I am challenging people to walk deeper as if they have not arrived it appears.

But rather I am saying, Christ is more than you can imagine, trust Him and let go control
of how you feel and interact, step out in faith and let the Holy Spirit guide you.

No one can walk with Jesus unless they are saved first which is a one time eternal event based upon faith....your working for anti-Jesus dogma cannot save a flea.......
Those who do not want to be touched by Gods word, will take a message, change it,
label it and reject it.

If everyday God is not doing new things in your life, you are not listening.

Here is an image. A person has a core being, which is stable and self contained.
Ocassionally things break through and change occurs. As one grows older this
tends to happen less and less, as the defences and filtering improves.

Jesus asks us to face the truth, of which He is it, and not have defences other than
love and listening to Him. Once you change things that are being said to you, add
your own version, you know you are living a defended life and not one open with
Christ.

A disciple is caused to live this dangerous life with Him.

I have also to laugh. Walking with Christ is not a place where insults or putdowns
work, because ones heart is embedded in His love for you and the glory of the walk.

You do me a service, and also teach me where my focus is.

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.
John 15:16

What do you make of someone who decided to chose God?
They set the terms and refuse to listen to Gods will and nature.

If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.
John 15:19

Be not surprised that people will hate you when you bring God light into the world.

Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed.
John 3:20

The recurring them about righteousness and sin, is sin is continuous and impossible
to be free from. So those who condemn walking in Christs victory is that there
evil deeds will carry on, though they refuse to specify what deeds and what failures.

So this could be from being a serial killer, to occasional frustration and swearing.
Now Jesus changing frustration and bringing peace, love and joy is possible, but
stopping serial killing is totally disfunctional and need for penal restraint is the primary
need.

Is it any wonder in a christian community one should get these two groups?
No because righteousness and holiness preaching has stopped, and just praise and
worship songs abound. But this is giving up the heart of who Christ is, love conquering
over selfishness and evil deeds. Little wonder churches become ineffective, and descend
into social meeting places.
