Doctrine of men? No wonder so many are confused..

Christ does speak much more after His words it is finished upon the cross to us..

I will stick to GOD's Truth me thinks.
So, when the Apostle Paul wrote:
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. Eph 2:8-9
this is just the doctrines of men?
All Spurgeon was doing was expositing this very text - correctly I might add.

I don't think you would recognise God's truth if it was sign-written across the sky...

You should know by now the only one's who see value in your posts are the same one's that are as blind as bats without echo location.....as far as my ability to hit things......more fluff from a fluff ball....!!
Thanks for this dc. Let me be very honest.

You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend. You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.
James 2:22-24

So also Abraham “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”
Gal 3:6

The principle here is simple. Having a relationship with God, believing Him along with
obedience is credited as righteousness. This is not Jesus's righteousness put on the believer,
the believer by believing God and obeying is deemed righteous.

James demonstrates faith alone is not enough, deeds are not enough, both working together
are necessary. This is 100% James's argument.

What is clear is for believing scripture and James, you are condemning me as an unbeliever.
How can this be if James is clearly not teaching what you are teaching.

qed you are wrong. I will always go with Gods word.

Guys just so you know, I put you on ignore, but I read your posts.
When I feel it inspiring I will comment on them where relevant, because I do not need to hide
from what you are saying, or get angry, or feel just what you are writing is sooooo wrong.

I want to grasp all aspects of love and walking with the Lord, and we all can learn a lot from
all situations, even what not to say, and when not to contradict Gods word.

As a side note, if I did not read Gods word, what is shared is just so nice and reassuring.

The problem is it is not God, or His word, so it is very worrying if it contradicts Gods word,
and the speakers deny that they are doing this when clearly Gods word says something else.

As Jesus said about witnessing His word to people, if they do not believe the law and the
prophets why should they believe any other messenger from God.

Not sure what you mean. I am following Jesus from my heart, so are not putting anything on.
I did ask you your foundations, but you appear to have ignored what I was asking.

God bless you.

Did not see the question, sorry. If you are asking about my Doctrinal Foundation, this will explain it:

Looks like a good straight evangelical, bible believing fellowship.
Not sure why you have got involved with the HG group and their teachings, as this do not appear
to be anything you follow, but then this false flag following often happens.

One member is very much against the HG group, yet argues with them, ironic.

Okay what in the world is the HG group.

We are Conservative Evangelicals. Liberal Evangelicals, spend more time singing the Praises than Teaching the Word, and they will also ordain women, and a few other things that we do not believe in.

I remember Robert Tilton on TV bragging he was going to buy a big tent, and make himself RICH. He did, and after his TV ministry became huge, George Bush said he would put him behind bars the first chance he got, and Tilton bragged again, "Go ahead try, I got lawyers that keep me just this side of crossing that line." Pure religious Con-Artist.

Jim Baker is back on TV, and he had a guy on there recently tooting his horn that he had computed that the Rapture may be 9-23-17; yesterday. I HOPE THEY ARE OUT OF BUSINESS FOR GOOD THIS TIME.

A few months ago, I changed the channel and found Peter Popoff is back on TV, sounding like he did before, begging for money. He was the one that got caught with an FM transmitter in his ear and his wife was in the audience talking to people with a hidden FM microphone on her, and Peter would claim WORD OF KNOWLEDGE from God and call out the people, and WOW the crowd.

And Jimmy Swaggert is back on TV TOO.

And Creflo Dollar is just totally shocking:

[video=youtube;AYxeTjrckl0]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYxeTjrckl0[/video]

Yes there are a lot of FALSE TEACHERS in this world:

2 Corinthians 2:17 (CSBBible)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] For we do not market the word of God for profit like so many. On the contrary, we speak with sincerity in Christ, as from God and before God.

Luke 12:15 (NRSV)
[SUP]15 [/SUP] And he said to them, "Take care! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; for one's life does not consist in the abundance of possessions."

1 Corinthians 5:11 (ESV)
[SUP]11 [/SUP] But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one.

It totally amazes me how many people fall for these False Preachers that are so obviously full of GREED.

Robert Tilton is a fraud for sure...seem a show where all these letters came in with prayer requests and checks/cash....a few hours later the bag with the letters were dumped in the trash...missing the checks and cash....a real scum bag for sure...!

Do you self-starters feel worn out? Do you feel like you can not lift your heads off your pillows? Do you feel like you don't want to keep saving yourself? Do you not want to be drug out of bed and keep striving to keep yourself saved?

And when you finally get yourself motivated enough to get out of bed and stay saved, does your efforts to remain saved feel futile?

Do you try and try and try to remain saved, but get nowhere?

Does it feel like the enemy is doing he best to sever all ties with your fellow believers?

You can rejoice now!! I have great news for you!! You can even dance!!

All that the Christ did for all His ppl has been imputed unto them, and they now possess it as if they were the ones who did it. Its called justification.

And you have been justified, set free from sin and have a right standing before God, as God now sees you in Christ, and you no longer have to be a self-starter. You are now on the highway to heaven and will never breakdown.

So, relax my friend, and enjoy the ride. He will get you there as He said He would be with us even to the end of the age.

I watched a sermon by Dave Hunt the author of "The Seduction of Christianity" some time ago, and in that video he was warning that particular Charismatic Church: "If a Witch Doctor came into this church dressed in his war paint and feathers, trying to take over the pulpit, two of you men would grab him by each arm and throw him out the front door. But what I fear is if that same man came in here in a suit and tie, toting a Bible; you would listen to him all day long."

So yes, there are a lot of wolves in sheep's clothing out there, especially in these last days, Mat. 24:24, Mat. 7:13-27, Gal. 5:19-26. These days, most ministries have a Doctrinal Statement Faith (What We Believe) posted on their Website, so I have made it a habit to compare their Doctrinal Statement of Faith, to a known good one. That has saved me from wasting time on some unbelievably bad sites. I get suspicious when their Statements have NO VERSES for references to back up those Doctrinal Statements, and I get RED FLAGS when one of those Statements contradicts a known Good One. Here is a link to a known Good One in my opinion:

Hi VCO...Yes I agree with all said here...I read also that when we die we are immediately in the presence of our Lord, in total Joy :)...I was thinking about this yesterday when Jesus said I will never leave you nor forsake, even untill death, I am not to far in the word as yet, so still learning new things everyday, but from what I read here in the link, we are immediately in the presence of the Lord, this is so comforting:), sorry if I have gone off topic from the original post, but I just had to share my finding :D...It just takes that fear knowing that when we face death, then die, Jesus is ALWAYS with us, we are never ever alone...\o/...xox...

There is a real sense is which the fear of death is never seen, though we physically die,
we go from one place of communion with Him to another.

We all get those moments of shock when we feel again our mortality. Our bodies are set up to
feel such things, to be aware of danger and problems. Then there is that place were freedoms
will be lost, but the Lord will still be there, as Paul felt when he went to Jerusalem and the Lord
told him he would be taken captive and not be freed. It took many years, but without this, much
of the new testament would not be be here, as he wrote to his friends and fellow believers the
wisdom of God as he had been lead, speaking to us as much as them. What a blessing through
trial and problems. Amen.

HG stands for Hyper Grace and followers a line of theology which puts everything on Christ,
and nothing on the believer except resting in Christ.

They emphasise not resolving sin, confessing or repenting, just knowing you are saved, and
then continuing in your life, with the fruits of the Spirit, without any defined integrity or even
reading scripture that might convict you. If you do feel convicted, that is satan trying to take
away you faith and knowledge you are in Christ, even if you are in sinful behaviour.

This particular debate or grouping have been going on for the last 2 years.
A large amount of the discussions have been centred around differences in these areas.
