You may never view another batch of leftover Lasagna in the refrigerator the same ever again, lol.

Just remember every time you 'seal' the lid on a bowl of left over Lasagna that 'seal' does not mean by definition 'unable to be unsealed'. It means it is sealed until it is unsealed.

This is bad theology, a false gospel

Imagine a mortal undoing what God has wrought. It conveys perfectly what such a man thinks of God. And himself.

And that is exactly what I believe. And as you may recall, my position is that unsealing will occur when the believer willfully goes back to a contemptuous unbelief in a willful 'I don't care' return to the world.

I'm confident that you will see that, apart from any H-Grace considerations, our fundamental difference of doctrine is that I believe a believer can go back to unbelief while you, perhaps, do not. But the simple fact is, I'm being told that I'm now trying to keep myself saved instead of relying on Christ to keep me saved, which illustrates that even the OSAS folk here believe that a believer can go back to unbelief, despite what they say otherwise. Which leaves the other alternative for OSAS....that even the believer who stops believing is still saved despite his unbelief. But that's H-Grace doctrine (which we can not discuss), yet some have claimed that they are not H-Grace believers.

So, as you can see, the OSAS doctrines being touted in this thread are very confusing and contradictory. But there is a very simple truce that can be called. If you agree to let me believe that believers can stop believing, and I agree to let you believe that believers can not stop believing we can let it rest there and go on our merry way. Because ultimately, the question of whether you or I can stop believing is a very personal one that will be answered when we are tested. It won't really matter what anyone else thinks at that time.

God did not, and does not do my believing for me. He gives me the faith to believe, but he does not do my believing for me.

And, if you were a true Calvinist, you would understand what a waste of time it is for you to be expressing your doctrinal beliefs since God has already pre-programmed those who are created saved, and those who are not. Because if that's true, then he certainly doesn't need us debating the subject in any way, for it would have zero bearing on what God has already programmed and determined what we will be and which can not be reprogrammed by us mere mortals.

I don't have to prove a thing you've proven it above. What you said is frankly blasphemous to the Spirit's sealing of the believer.
Honestly, the security of the believer is so basic to the Christian Faith that to compare the "Sealing of our Redemption" to a container of lasagna in the refrigerator that can be unsealed is to cheapen and diminish God's power to deliver what he has promised to those who believe. You would better use Gods seal of the believer as a; letter that has been sealed, by the "Holy Spirit" and is guaranteed to arrive at it's destination.

Phart go open a lasagna shop and stop peddling your false gospel

wrong

everyone who believes has eternal life

it means they will never die, if they can die, they do not have eternal life. They would have conditional life. In your case, conditional life based on the ability to keep on believing .

again, one day you mist see it..

the People who end up in Hell......are alive forever as well. suffering eternal torment

matthew 25:46 "And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal."

those sent away call Jesus Lord as well.

daniel 12:12 "And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

the torment and shame and contempt...those things last forever as well.

being alive forever doesnt determine where eternity will be spent. Jesus taught How to spend it With God.

The fact that you teach you can lose it or forfeit by what you do or no not do proves it, the fact you use Hebrews out of context, deny verb tense, reject the promises of Jesus, the fact you deny the power of God to KEEP one saved, the fact you deny Jesus starts, finishes and completes our faith which you reject by saying YOU MUST KEEP YOURSELF IN THE FAITH clearly undermines Jesus, enthrones yourself and is a false working for anti-Christian dogma.....

How do you guys simply say this is not true? this is the exact same Judgement that is from solomon forward, and there is no saying it doesnt apply to eternal Life with God, or its somehow the Mosaic Law and doesnt apply to christians when Paul wrote this to the roman church. its all about belief yet when some see whats there all the sudden it reverts back to well its the finished work of the cross were saved no matter what yet Gods Word.....

romans 2 "But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

6Who will render to every man according to his deeds:7To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: << thats what those who repent and do right have to look forward to. they repent and obey Because they believe. They do Just what Noiah did to become the Heir to the righteousness of faith they Hear God and obey Him.8But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, 9Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; this is not speaking backwards but forward, its not about israel, its about Jes and gentile all people every soul of man.

10But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: 11For there is no respect of persons with God."

again not speaking backwards as If God has already somehow Judged People, this is the same Book where you guys see verses that make you think it has nothoing to do with your own deeds. its all about your own deeds what you do.

Jesus work was to make us able, thats the real finished work the Holy spirit in us. it has everything to do with eternal Life with God or torment anguish, suffering. I know alot of the personal views Here, but what about what the scripture says so clearly in places Like this? is this the Mosaic Law too? is it meant for non Believers? if so then non believers can earn salvation by good works??? and why is it written to believers?

its for the Believers to learn about the eternal Judgement to come, based on Our deeds. No one is teaching falseley when they shpw people plain and clear straight forward scripture like this. its meant for us. and it also devastates the eternal Security regardless and the Whole gog " Jesus does it for you and you do nothing thing.......

its puzzling to me How believers are so quick to disregard truth.

These people were saved,so how did they go in to grave error, and appears if they do not correct it,are not saved, which goes to show that a person that is saved can go to an unsaved condition, although they can still be saved if they correct it,but some act as if once they are saved they will never fall short, which the Bible testifies differently that it could happen.

Rom 11:20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by FAITH. Be not highminded, but fear:
Rom 11:21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
Rom 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

These people stood by faith, for they are saved, but Paul tells them to fear, for if they do not continue in the goodness of God,that they want to enjoy sin,and hold unto it,they are in a position of being cut off the same as those of the Old Testament that did not abide by the truth after the Old Testament was given to them.

Heb 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in DEPARTING from the living God.
Heb 3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Here it is again,if a person is saved, but wants to enjoy sins, and hold unto it,then they have departed from the living God.

2Pe 2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
2Pe 2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
2Pe 2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

And another one, that if they have escaped the pollutions of the world, are saved, and clean, but they want to go back to sin,and hold unto it,then it would have been better if they had not known the truth at all.

Rev 2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
Rev 2:5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

Rev 3:2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
Rev 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

Jesus tells them to repent,or He will go against them, and they have been saved, because they have fallen, and if they repent can be right again with Jesus.

Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Heb 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
Heb 10:28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
Heb 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

If a person that has been saved goes back to sin,and holds unto it,then the sacrifice of Jesus cannot wash it away.

Of course it can be corrected, but they cannot say that after a person is saved they will never go astray as a guarantee, for the Bible says it is possible to happen if someone decides they want to go back to sin.

I have seen it,and heard of it,that many people say, faith alone, confess Christ, and you are good to go,and then they are living in sin thinking they are alright, and how do they come to that kind of belief through scripture.

2Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this SEAL, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

1Co 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
1Co 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and SIN NOT; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

Gal 6:3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
Gal 6:4 But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
Gal 6:5 For every man shall bear his own burden.
Gal 6:6 Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.
Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Gal 6:8 For he that SOWETH to his FLESH shall of the flesh reap CORRUPTION; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Gal 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Read it,heed it,because you need it.

People that were saved should have an understanding that sin does affect their relationship with God,and hate sin,and do now want sin,and allow the Spirit to lead them to abstain from sin,for sin separates us from God whether we confess Christ,or not.

Paul said this is what SEALS the saints that they depart from iniquity, but he said some do not have the knowledge of God,and do not understand that God commands them to abstain from sin by the Spirit, and he speaks that to their shame, and do not be deceived, for if you sin,and sow to the flesh, you will reap corruption, whether you confess Christ,or not.

Dost thou not understandest.

There is so much relaxation among many that claim Christ, that want to sit on a spiritual beach, sipping spiritual margaritas, and take their ease, for sin does not hinder,do not have to work, and can enjoy the worldly ways.

Honestly, the security of the believer is so basic to the Christian Faith...
Yes, every BELIEVER is absolutely secure in Christ. Not unbelievers, not ex-believers, but BELIEVERS.

Believing is how you secure the sure ministry of Christ. What I resist is the unBiblical tenant that says you are secure in Christ because you have no input whatsoever as to whether God will keep you secure in Christ--he just does it 'cause he wants to with no thought as to what you're doing or thinking or believing. The Bible is crystal clear that you have to be believing (present tense) to be presently saved. What's funny is, this is what Calvinist's are supposed to believe, too--their present, persevering believing being the evidence that they are indeed saved. It's just that they say the believer can never stop believing. I'm not going to fistacuffs over that because the believer who is sure he will never stop believing because he can't stop believing has his day coming when he will learn the truth about the possibility of not persevering in the faith. He won't need me or anyone else to teach him about that. He'll find that out for himself.

Absolutely true. That's why we need to keep believing, so we can keep the Spirit who guarantees our inheritance. If you lose the deposit of the Holy Spirit you no longer have what that deposit secures for you on the Day of Salvation. It's just like when you buy a house. The deposit guarantees that you will own it in full one day. Lose the deposit for whatever reason and you most certainly will not have any more guarantee of future ownership of that house. You lose all rights to that house.

Perhaps I should weave a Lasagna connection into that house analogy.

Thats exactly a great post, its troubling to no end when Christians will refuse the consistant scripture, old and new testaments about such things. the sad truth is that sinners will never repent if they refuse Gods Word telling them they must. to simply accept that God says we must repent, is the beginning of repenting. But a Believer who sees God is absolutely saying that again and again, the believer will then take to Heart the truth about reopentance and that word of truth will convict the Heart and lead to repentance.

Like adam didnt, were supposed to Heed and follow the Word. The Boible isnt a theology book it is a lesson Book meant to Learn, Believe and practice. as Long as a person looks at it as " well this one scripture i believe but nah, that repentance and eternal Judgement stuff that is all through the Bible....thats not for Me. I read a different book that tells me its not from a great pastor "

if something is very clear and repeated throughout the Bible there is no reason for any believer to doubt that God said it and it applies as if God said it. its so simple to Believe God.

It is very clearly repeated throughout Scripture that Jesus is God...

Yet you have found that impossible to believe.

You completely miss the point!
The deposit GUARANTEES the inheritance!
The inheritance is sure because of the deposit.
The deposit is the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit is NOT subject to a human being - believer or not.
If you are indwelt with the Holy Spirit then you have a deposit that guarantees your inheritance (of eternal life).

The thing is though its what we believe that matters, we should believe what the Lord said, not inventions like the "finished work" silliness. Believing will forever lead to doing, we cant say i believe, and then go on living contrary, belief has to be sincere and it has to be what God has said that we believe as well as what Jesus Has done. to say " Just Believe" leaves the question what do i believe?

the Bible isnt contradicting itself so when one verse says your "inheritance is guaranteed" you have to understand all the rest of it. all of the "if you do this" stuff applies to that guarantee. so Like paul says " we are debtors But not to the flesh, for if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if By the spirit you put to death the Misdeeds of the Body, you will Live"

the" if yous" matter and complete the context of the message being given. we arent One scripture says this this other says this, and another says this.....it all applies to One message to bring security. Paul didnt feel secure and thats who Most quote for " eternal Security"

The eternal security thing people try to teach Here the conditionless stuff is a replica of what israels prophets did to Bring Gods Wrath. the Prophets Began telling the People " God will never punish us, we are chosen, look He promised an eternal covenant to us, Gods too good to fulfill His word of Wrath........" to that God said this repeatedly

Jeremiah 23 I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.
15
Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land.
16Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.

17They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you."

false prophets were telling the people " God wont recompense your evil deeds" its really often this happened in the Ot and it is happening Now in the Church. God is faithful and will 100 percent bring His word to pass both the glorious salvation He offers and also the terrible wrath He promised. No one should ever doubt that Gods warnings will not happen because hes " just too good" as many many many people seems to think.

Here's the truly ironic part about all this. Dcon is telling me that me for me to think that I have to continue to believe in order to stay saved is me trying to earn my salvation.....the salvation that Dcon and EG both say I can not lose!

It appears that I can fall away from the gospel and be lost, but they can't.

its Just Because you have chosen to Believe the Word of truth and share that rather than jumping on the gog bandwagon. if a person Here wants to fit in and be liked, never post anything that says you need to repent and obey God.....Just pull out a few grace grace scriptures and then explain How that over rules everything Jesus said plainly. that will bring popularity.......you should wear the attacks as an Honor and Keep sharing the things you Understand and Know to be true, it will benifit those who consider God bless, i gotta again get off this thread ... it always leads Me down the Wrong road.

What you say is not truth
, you cannot lose something you did not pay for; our inheritance is blood bought. Are you so foolish that you think you can buy your way into God's Kingdom with your good works, if you think you can you are going to be making "Lasagna for a long long time."

We were marked with a "seal, the promise of the Holy Spirit", and it is the "Holy Spirit guaranteeing our inheritance," (not your wonderful lasagna in the refrigerator; false gospel). "And having been predestined according to His plans" (Not your earthly wisdom which will ultimately fail you), And He works everything, in conformity with the purpose of His will, (Not Your will), "to the praise of His Glory", (not Your good works),

It's time to set up your workshop and start producing Lasagna. All of your idea's are earthly and foolish wisdom that can never save a soul; but God's wisdom can.

I don't have to prove a thing you've proven it above. What you said is frankly blasphemous to the Spirit's sealing of the believer.
"What you said is frankly blasphemous"

Humour exits when someone says something so extreme it must be a joke.
The bigger joke is they do not know it is a joke.

It is obvious when people have tantrums and want to push people over the edge.
The bigger joke is when they themselves fall over the edge, falling into their own trap.

I present p4t.
