Can logic and reason bring a person to believe in Christianity?

Thanks for taking the time to respond! I may not have done as much research as you so I will not claim to know any answers to logical fallicies, false statements or impossible accounts. What I can tell you though is that you have rightly identified that faith is the only way to know all Truth. Maybe a few Christians readlng this may find my response weak, and may not be okay with me not giving you reasons why the Bible is accurate in all its claims. However, my intention is not to make you believe but to know how you arrived at your conclusion.
I like your statement about having to repurpose or misinterpret the Bible to 'fit reality beyond your personally acceptable parameters'. I am wondering what makes you say that there IS a right purpose and a right way of interpretting the Bible? Because repuposing or misinterpreting implies the existence of a purpose and a way of interpretation. The reason why I ask this is because if you do believe there is a purpose and a way to interpret it, where do you learn that from and what is the purpose and way to interpret?
(I am still just trying to understand your thoughts, I will make it clear to you if I am saying something with the intention to challenge you.)

Yes indeed I use to reason concerning God to believe and it seemed to be enough but it wasn't until I truly believed that I learned a great deal more and started wanting to serve God,choices such as baptism and salvation are reasonable and logical but you need Faith as well,because if you don't believe what you say you believe then eventually you end up feeling distraught because you have to try so hard to put up a front when you could believe and trust upon God wholly,which is not so simple.

When I was 16 I lost my childhood's faith. I used my reason and intellect and found the Biblical truths to be against my feminist ideas. I wasn't seen as a very radical or rebellious teenager. I didn't touch alcohol, because I wanted my moral to be even better than my former Christian friends'. I did however participate in pro choice rallys when I was in the States and thought that it was obvious the woman should be allowed the choice to keep the baby or not. Knowledge and reason are dangerous things and can bring people away from God. It was for a reason God forbid Adam and Eve to eat from the tree.
That said, it is history. We already have access to the knowledge and have the ability to reason. We should use that for the glory of God. And we should be able to use that ability to defend our faith when being attacked by people like me 30 years ago. But for me, it was fruitless to try to argue or convince me by reason to give my life to Christ. It was when I gave up reasoning I could receive the salvation. So. No. You have to become like a child to receive Christ. When you have surrendered your mind and your thoughts to Christ, you will develope a new, sound reasoning. A better understanding and a stronger foundation in Christ.
Can you be a theroretical Christian? Perhaps. Can Christ change your heart through an intellectual approach. Yes. But that is still by divine intervention.
