Who is claiming to be better than others when those who speak in tongues claimed they got it by receiving the Holy Spirit apart from salvation? It's like... look at me.. I got something the average believer do not have.
And since we are to prove all things and abstain from all appearances of evil, then God would not mimic the supernatural tongue found in the occult, world's religions, and cults in christianity.
I draw the line of distinction by His words that God's gift of tongues is of other men's lips to speak unto the people. His gift of tongues is not gained by receiving the Holy Spirit separate from salvation; nor are any of the other gifts gained that way.
There is no receiving the Holy Spirit separate from salvation. It is real but that is the spirit of the antichrist when the real Holy Spirit had already been in believers since they had come to & believed in Jesus Christ to not hunger nor thirst any more to be filled after they have been saved.
That is called keeping the faith which is the good fight, sister.
