Oh, please! Enough lies being preached on here. No need to join in!
shrume said:
If you're saved, it's because you heard the gospel and chose to believe it, at which point you were sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit (Eph 1:13).
Eph 1:
13) In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Acts 16:
30) And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31) And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Gasp people lie on here?
I seriously doubt anyone lies (intentionally state something they know to be false to be true).

But many people surely are mistaken....

Verse 37 is up to you, to love the lord with all your heart, God does not force that or give you the ability to love him,

God loved you first, now love him back with your heart.
I believe Depleted is talking about how many things we are to do are commandments and statutes as in "Orders"as to what one shall do to do right by God,granted we can still do "opposite of God's will by sinning" but for the most part since the holy spirit abides in us,God's will becomes our will instead of us "doing what we want" thereby leaving our will in God's hands where it ought to be.

She clearly stated that in the verses of Matt 22:34-40 that there is no mentioning of free will but clearly to Love God is your will.

God will not force you to Love Him or give anybody the ability to do so.

that is not true Love and God is about the truth and what is right.

God will not... give anybody the ability to do so [to love Him].

That is God's Love, yes His Love was poured out given freely to anyone that believes (the Who is Jesus) God sent His only Son. Salvation has been freely given, either accept it or not it's your choice.

Dont think for a second your Love is the same as God's Love, you have no idea what your saying.

I wonder how many people actually truly Love rather than being told to do it or only because in their heart they feel as if they obtained it from God the ability to love others and God.

It starts by learning how to love on your own and not depending on someone or something to do it for you.

If you think that you have anything that is not from God, you are very mistaken. You have nothing that was not given to you. Including love.

For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?

All feelings in the human body God created without a doubt God created humans to have feelings, but God allows people to choose them freely with our own free will.

Before posting verses you better know how to use them,

So you can freely choose feelings? Interesting.

I think you are wrong.

Not sure how this is relevant.

If temptation is real, it must also mean that you can choose your feelings...? Or what do you want to say?

yes your feelings and desires are yours, Jesus was a man as well and that is the reason why satan tempted Jesus.

Jesus loved His Father with all His Heart, and freely did his Father's will, yet Jesus still had the ability to choose, and that is why satan tempted Him in the wilderness, for that was the only thing satan could tempt Jesus with His own free will.

1 John 2:16
[SUP]16 [/SUP]For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.

If you read Genesis 3 you will see this is how he tempted Eve.
If you read Luke 4 you will see this is how he tempted Jesus Christ.

James 1:13-16
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. [SUP]14 [/SUP]But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. [SUP]15 [/SUP]Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death. [SUP]16 [/SUP]Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.

This is how it work. If you know how it work, then you should also understand how to avoid it.

Yes, but none of this is a disregard to who created human feelings, God created them not satan, satan feeds off of that and try's to change your feelings to lust and pride that is not of God.

1. You switched from "I can choose my feelings" to something much different. Now you are talking about resisting a temptation, which has almost nothing to do with feelings.

2. It would be very difficult to you, I would say quite impossible, to prove that the real love is a feeling, at all.

3. Jesus was full of grace and dependent on Father. Which is what I am talking about - every good gift is from above, its grace.

"We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."

Yes, I do not follow your reasoning.

Right, real love is when somebody do something. So it is not about feeling/emotion.
