His conclusions are what come from being un-churched, against church, and being pro YouTube.
That is factual, especially since the farmers WERE the Army in those days.
So, should it be preserved today? And why, or why not?
It was written to protect us from a tyrannical government , not just foreign either. Of course self-defense. You can also argue to protect commerce too. If you looked at Europe at the time of our constitution’s ratification highwaymen were a plague . The Americas were almost free of them due to our ability to arm our people as well as our government.

i do think we should preserve the 2nd...

It started because during the American Revolution (actually, just prior to it) the British confiscated and forbid the owning of firearms by the american colonists, in hopes to prevent a rebellion because tensions were rising due to taxation from England that the colonists did not agree with and had no power to challenge (it was from the King after all). It came to a head when british troops fired upon a crowd of unarmed colonists who were protesting against the king one night in Boston (known as The Boston Massacre)...
It did not work for the british because the colonists hid their weapons and eventually the Minuteman was born (farmers who would be ready for battle in a minute's notice). There was no american army or continental army. There were only bands of citizens willing to fight the british until an army was finally formed.
The founding fathers were all about checks and balances so they guaranteed the right for citizens to own firearms in order to be able to rise up against a tyrannical government like England's at the time (in case one arises).

Sure it should be preserved. Article 1 section 8 of the U.S. constitution doesn't allow for Congress to maintain an Army, just a Navy. It only says Congress may raise an Army for two years at a time.

I am all for keeping it....look at what happens in the countries and nations of the world where people cannot pack heat.....how many get brutalized by tje leaders of the world.....
