If Jesus had a wallet, your picture would be in it.

Not because you're Mother Teresa or Mahatma Gandhi but because He loves you. Period.

I may have found His wallet:

Or is this it:

Repost

This repost is to make it shorter and readable; The idea that you must be kept saved by, "keep believing", is a counterfeit gospel and a counterfeit Christ. Your "Sanctification" is what makes you acceptable to God for service. It is a life long pursuit of holy living and service to God. The people who are pushing this "keep believing", nonsense are dead wrong. It is God and the Holy Spirit Who will Sanctify and keep you Sanctified until the day of our redemption, not, "keep believing"

It will only take about 2 minutes to read through this example;

What is Biblical Sanctification:

Quote:
"The generic meaning of sanctification is "the state of proper functioning." To sanctify someone or something is to set that person or thing apart for the use intended by its designer. A pen is "sanctified" when used to write. Eyeglasses are "sanctified" when used to improve sight. In the theological sense, things are sanctified when they are used for the purpose God intends. A human being is "sanctified", therefore, when he or she lives according to God's design and purpose.

The Greek word translated "sanctification" (hagiasmos) means "holiness." To sanctify, therefore, means "to make holy." In one sense only God is holy (Isa 6:3). God is separate, distinct, other. No human being or thing shares the holiness of God's essential nature. There is one God. Yet Scripture speaks about holy things. Moreover, God calls human beings to be holyas holy as he is holy (Lev 11:44 ; Matt 5:48 ; 1 Peter 1:15-16). Another word for a holy person is "saint" (hagios), "meaning a sanctified one." The opposite of sanctified is "profane" (Lev 10:10).

Human beings ultimately cannot sanctify themselves. The Triune God sanctifies. The Father sanctifies ( 1 Cor 1:30 ) by the Spirit ( 2 Thess 2:13 ; 1 Peter 1:2 ) and in the name of Christ ( 1 Cor 6:11 ). Yet Christian faith is not merely passive. Paul calls for active trust and obedience when he says, "Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God" ( 2 Cor 7:1 ).

Sanctification According to God's Creative Design. A person or thing can be sanctified in two ways according to God's creative purpose or according to God's redemptive design. All sanctified in the first sense are used by God in the second sense. Not all God uses in the second sense are sanctified in the first sense. Fallen human beings still bear God's image ( James 3:9-10 ). Fallen creation still witnesses to God's existence and attributes ( Psalm 19:1-6 ; Rom 1:20 ). Yet both, depending on the analogy employed, are skewed, broken, fallen, dysfunctional, "unsanctified."

Conclusion: Sanctification always requires God's presence. His presence is more than his "being there"a corollary of his omnipresence. It is his dynamic presence, producing fruit for which he alone is the source. "Indwelling" is not God's way of getting close to us sensually. It is a theological, rather than experiential, reality; it is "experienced" by faith, not by feeling.

Did you enlist in the Marines were you drafted? Of corse you enlisted. So we’re you required to do anything enlisted? Of course you did. You see where this leading? If you enlisted in God’s army are you required to do anything? Of course you are and it’s laid out plain as day in Acts 2:38. Just as in the service you don’t gold brick or you are out on your ear.
No offence.....Acts 2:38 is not the only scripture and regardless of the charismatics that build a false theology on that one verse, it will not change my mind about salvation, how it is obtained, the eternal aspect of it and what is required of a born again child of God.......

1 Kepha (Peter) 4:17-18 “For the time has come that judgment must begin at The House of יהוה; and if it first begins with us, what will the end be of those who do not obey the message of יהוה? And if the righteous are scarcely saved, where will the wicked and the sinner appear?”

Psalm 69:27-28, "Add iniquity to their iniquity! Let them not come into Your righteousness! May they be blotted out of The Book of Life, and not be written with the righteous!"

Revelation 3:5, "He who overcomes, the same will be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name from The Book of Life, but I will confess his name before My Father and before His malakim."

Exodus 32:31-33, “And Mosheh returned to יהוה and said, “Oh, these people have sinned a great sin, and have made for themselves a mighty one of gold! and now, if You would forgive their sin, but if not, please blot me out of Your book which You have written. and יהוה said to Mosheh, whoever has sinned against Me, I blot him out of My book.”

James 2:19-22, "You believe that there is one Father? You do well; the demons also believe, and tremble. But are you willing to know, O vain man, that the faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Do you see that the faith worked together with his works, and by works the faith makes perfect?"

Revelation 14:12-13, “Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones, here are those guarding the commands of יהוה and the belief of יהושע. And I heard a voice out of the heaven saying to me, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Master from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, in order that they rest from their labors, and their works follow with them.”

Hebrews11:6, "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to Yah has to believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who earnestly seek Him."

James 2:17, "So also belief, if it does not have works, is in itself dead."

James 2:22, "Do you see that the belief was working with his works, and by the works the belief was perfected?"

James 2:24, "You see, then, that a man is declared right by works, and not by belief alone."

Revelation 12:17, “And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to fight with the remnant of her seed, those guarding the commands of Yah and possessing the witness of יהושעMessiah."

Revelation 14:12, “Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones, here are those guarding the commands of Yah and the belief of יהושע.

Hi Decon, If you, (empirical you not you), make the slightest effort to study to find the answers to doctrinal beliefs, they are not far from you. To be so entrench in your beliefs that you can not listen to the opposition is wrong; Such as well meaning folks who say that "baptism saves you" it does not.

The Bible teaches that, Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and "Not by Works" Yonder comes all these people saying that baptism saves you based on one verse they cling to for there whole Christian life, I helps them to remain secure in Christ but it is "Fasle theology" as you have already stated;

You cannot make doctrines of the bible bases on one verse from the bible; Basic's of hermeneutics, interpretation of the bible. A little bit of bible study goes a long way.......:)

Quote
:

"As with any single verse or passage, we discern what it teaches by first filtering it through what we know the Bible teaches on the subject at hand. In the case of baptism and salvation, the Bible is clear that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not by works of any kind, including baptism (Ephesians 2:8-9). So, any interpretation which comes to the conclusion that baptism, or any other act, is necessary for salvation, "is a faulty interpretation."

Why, then, do some come to the conclusion that we must be baptized in order to be saved? Often, the discussion of whether or not this passage teaches baptism is required for salvation centers around the Greek word eis that is translated “for” in this passage. Those who hold to the belief that baptism is required for salvation are quick to point to this verse and the fact that it says “be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ "for the forgiveness" of your sins,” assuming that the word translated “for” in this verse meansin order to get.” However, in both Greek and English, there are many possible usages of the word “for.”

In conclusion, Acts 2:38 does not teach that baptism is required for salvation. While baptism is important as the sign that one has been justified by faith and as the public declaration of one’s faith in Christ and membership in a local body of believers, it is not the means of remission or forgiveness of sins. The Bible is very clear that we are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone (John 1:12; John 3:16; Acts 16:31; Romans 3:21-30; Romans 4:5; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-10; Philippians 3:9; Galatians 2:16).

The judgment that begins at the house of the Lord is talking about if you repent His judgement will not fall on you but if you don’t repent then His judgement shall surely be what you desire. I need to note here do all things in the NAME of the Lord and that is in Jesus name.

1 Kepha (Peter) 4:17 “For the time has come that judgment must begin at The House of יהוה; and if it first begins with us."

Psalm 11:4, "יהוה is in His holy temple; יהוה throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men."

Jeremiah 17:10, “I, יהוה, search the heart, I try the kidneys, and give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.”

Psalm 9:7-8, “But יהוה abides forever, He is preparing His throne for judgment. And He judges the world in righteousness, He judges the peoples in straightness.”

Psalm 84:11, “For יהוה the Mighty is a sun and a shield; יהוה gives favor and esteem; He withholds no good matter From those who walk blamelessly.”

Isaiah 66:15-16, “For look, יהוה comes with fire and with His chariots, like a whirlwind, to render His displeasure with burning, and His rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire and by His sword יהוה shall judge all flesh, and the slain of יהוה shall be many.”

Hebrews 4:12-13, “For the Word of Yah is living, and working, and sharper than any two-edged sword, cutting through even to the dividing of being and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all are naked and laid bare before the eyes of Him with whom is our account.”

Hebrews 10:26-31, “For if we sin purposely after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice offering for sins, but some fearsome anticipation of judgment, and a fierce fire which is about to consume the opponents. Anyone who has disregarded the Torah of Mosheh dies without compassion on the witness of two or three witnesses. How much worse punishment do you think shall he deserve who has trampled the Son of YHWH underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was set apart as common, and insulted the Spirit of favor? For we know Him who has said, “Vengeance is Mine, I shall repay, says יהוה.” And again, “יהוה shall judge His people. It is fearsome to fall into the hands of the living Father.”

Revelation 20:12-13, “And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before יהוה. And the books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and Death and Sheol delivered up the dead which were in them. And they were judged, every man, according to their works.”

Revelation 3:5, "He who overcomes, the same will be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name from The Book of Life, but I will confess his name before My Father and before His malakim."

Revelation 2:17, “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him who overcomes I shall give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I shall give him a white stone, and on the stone a renewed Name written which no one knows except him who receives it.”

I must give you credit you do make it long but your mistaking the two judgements and making them one. The judgement at 5he house of the Lord is for those who are the Redeemed while the judgement of the throne is for thos that don’t except our Lordand Savior.

2 Corinthians 5:10, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Messiah, that each one may receive his reward according to what he has done in the body, whether righteous or evil.”

judgment seat” is word #G968 βῆμα bema (ɓee'-ma) n.
1. a step (i.e. foot-breadth).
2. (by implication) a raised platform for public speaking (i.e. podium, but not implying a lectern).
3. (specially) a Bema judgment seat (i.e. a tribunal).
[from the base of G939]
KJV: judgment-seat, set (foot) on, throne
Root(s): G939
Compare: G898, G2362, G2515

Mattithyah 16:27, “For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His malakim; and then He will reward every man according to his works.”

Yahanan (John) 5:28-30, “Do not be astonished at this-for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice, and will come forth. Those who have practiced righteousness will be resurrected in order to live; and those who have practiced wickedness will be resurrected in order to be damned."

Acts 17:30-31, “In the past יהוה winked at such ignorance, but now He commands all men everywhere to repent! For He has appointed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness, by a Man whom He has ordained; and He has given evidence to everyone by raising Him from the dead.”

Romans 2:4-15, “Or do you despise the riches of His kindness, forbearance, and longsuffering; not realizing that יהוה’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance? But according to your stubborn and impenitent mind you are storing up wrath for yourself for the day of יהוה’s wrath, when the righteous judgment of יהוה will be revealed; when He will reward each one according to his works: to the ones on the one hand, who, by patient persistence in doing righteousness, seek for glory, honor and immortality, He will give eternal life. But to the ones on the other hand, who are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, He will give indignation and wrath. Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man who does evil: to the Yahdai(Jew) first, and also to the Greek (Gentile) But glory, honor, and peace to every man who works righteousness: to the Yahdai first, and also to the Greek. For there is no respect of persons with יהוה. For all who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law. For it is not the hearers of the Law who are just before Yah, but the doers of the Law will be justified. For when Gentiles who do not have the Law do instinctively the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves, in that they show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them.”

1 Kepha (Peter) 1:17-18, “And if you call on the Father, Who without respect of persons judges according to each man’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your sojourning here in reverence. Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, such as silver or gold, from your idolatrous way of life handed down to you by tradition from your fathers.”

You would think the easy road is always the best but that is not so.
Yeah, there are MANY who want to believe that they are SAVED because they intellectually acknowledge that all the stories about JESUS are TRUE. But even the Demons believe that much. I have also noticed that most TV Preachers teach a Love Only Gospel, Watering down the true Gospel, and leaving out the parts of the Bible that are unpopular, such as Warning People about the reality of Hell. Makes you Wonder if Saving Souls is all that important to them, or is KEEP THE MONEY COMING IN, the most important thing to them.
