Oh ok. Maybe it just needs more memory. I’m sure.

It has 4 gb of memory, I believe.. but it came with alot of pre-installed programs that I don't even use.. I've been uninstalling them but it's a pain in the butt, because I have to take my desktop offline to plug in the ethernet cord to the laptop, and it takes awhile to do anything on it, and the battery gets low. The company doesn't guarantee the condition or life of the battery that it came with, so I think it just needs a new battery..

Is it sufficient for, say, I have youtube open in one tab, and another open elsewhere? I usually multi task with 2 or 3 tabs open.
Well that starts to get a bit "tight"
Most browsers are true memory hoggers and just your system files will easily take that 2 gigs and more.
Windows operating systems will adjust its behavior depending how much ram you have and start using disk cache.

You can use windows 7 (or previous versions) with 2 gigs of ram but windows 10 machines need (32-bit) minimum of 4.
You really need minimum of 4 gigs nowadays.

8 or more is recommended although you need 64 bit operating system for that.

It's not broken. It's just too slow for me.. lol
I just read up on why apple computers get slow. Turns out that the bottom half of the hard drive is very slow to access for the computer so you have to try to keep it only half full (this is not a problem in the PC world). ALso, it says a mac/apple will slow down over time due to all the OS upgrades.

It says the only real solution is to copy all your data to an external drive, then erase your hard drive, then copy all the data back to your hard drive. This moves your data higher on the hard drive (so its not on the bottom where its slower to access). But you have to have only about 50% full hard drive for it to make a difference.

I got all that from an article on Apple's website:

She was making fun of the name of the company I got it from.. lol.. It's a Dell laptop, Windows 7.

OK now I'm confused.... wasn't someone poking fun at you for having an apple instead of a PC? And then I had to let you know it was just an inside joke among PC users?
