The antichrist will deny the Father and the Son. I doubt he will be Catholic.

I believe the biblical Antichrist will most likely be a pope. It fits the narrative perfectly. A religious leader who leads many astray with heretical doctrine. Also while the Vatican is not actually involved in politics it is quite feasible that they could have political influence worldwide

There are many other religious leaders in the world, though. The Muslims are still waiting for their Mahdi.

There's no religious leader in the world who is as prominent as the Pope. It's just logical that the pope is the most likely candidate

Biblically, hes not. And hes only so well known because you live in the west, in a nation where Christianity is the predominate religion. Go to the east, and hes not held in such high regard.
Islam once ruled a huge chunk of the world, and at that time the Caliph was the religious leader of their empire.

its definitely true that there are countless religious leaders out there, but Id definitely take the Mahdi a little more seriously, as Islams entire goal is to literally deny Christ as nothing more than a prophet of allah who said to worship allah, and didnt even give His life in exchange for our sins : p Buddhism isnt Christianity, definitely. But Islam exists in order to literally deny Christ.

it may not explicitly, but implicitly. For example salvation by work, it is deny the sacrifice of Christ on the cross

If were talking in terms of the Pope, or Catholicism, I doubt well ever hear the Pope say that Christ is not the only begotten son of God.

listen up folks, the catholic church or i should say its "leaders at the top" including the pope, will "enbrace" the antichrist when he "rises up out of the pit of hell", he is "not" among the living as yet. satan is "allowed" to raise his from "the dead" supernaturally, as he is in hell already as i type this. the antichrist "rises up" from the pit of hell the bible is very clear about that, meaning he "is dead" he once lived and went to hell, but he will "rise" once again and appear "in his own name". yes i do know whom the coming antichrist is.
