Read the five solas of the reformation. Never believe what Rome and the apostates say about Luther. Not perfect but far more biblical in his soteriology than Rome.I agree with what he said about that heretic Martin Luther. Luther's own words and quotes condemn him.
As the guy said, James specifically refutes faith alone, yet thats the biggest doctrine Luther pushed. Great joke that sola scriptura was from Luther, he didnt believe sola scriptura!
I disagree with how he interpreted the church to be referring to the current catholic church.
So this message was good, but as you said OP "(idolatory, indulgences, transubstantiation, etc)" <- all of this still going on in the catholic church, so its like the pot calling the kettle black.
Catholics aint gonna get rid of their statues or mary worship, so i'll never join. If they did, i'd join.

Paul said that no deeds of the Law are needed for being saved right now and right here.
Martin Luther said that no religious deeds of the RCC are needed for being saved right now and right here.
So if we die in this minute, we are saved by faith alone. But if our life will continue for some time, our new life must be somehow visible. Faith without deeds is dead.

Actually, the most false and most active proponents of "Faith alone" are the RCC members of various Italian mafias.
They are religious, go to the church for being forgiven by a priest and then go out, steal and murder.
