PHart same as well consider who was being spoken of.. if we all say we believe we are not outwardly circumcised or unbelievers.. GOD forbid any mouth should confess Grace is a licence to sin.. Grace is a licence to do good through Faith.

Amen if he would take into account even one sin as to its one wage (eternal damnation) who could stand in His Holy presence and receive mercy and therefore grace to do good through Faith? We fear Him because he pardons us freely with a get out of jail free card. Its his monopoly he sets the standards..Some judge the law and demand others follow them. Others get out of jail.

Why stand in judgment of the law of grace. We know the outcome?

Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.Mat 18:27-30

David knew where to get out of jail, stay out of jail card .according to the proper kind of fear. We fear him because with Him there is go forgiveness without him (and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.)

Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.
Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is "mercy", and with him is plenteous redemption.
And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.Psa 130:1-8

Who are the 'others' you refer to? Is there a brood of you is there?

You're of the same ilk of those false accusers mentioned in Romans 3:8. Through the same misunderstanding and rejection of the true Gospel, you slander others with false accusations in ignorance. (If it is perhaps ignorance)

And you never mean anything in a derogatory way.

Ok I will take your word for it!

Um, he's answering an argument and objection to the Gospel. Obviously you don't know Romans, or you'd know this to be his methodology in his magnum opus.

Therefore, you yourself slanderously accuse, just as those in Romans 3:8, of whom Paul is addressing by way of argumentation against those of your same ilk.

I've already given you the definition of ilk, it means the same kind, the same family. You can't even own you were wrong there as well. So, what you're really doing is using willful ignorance to not concede as ongoing slander.

Anyone here can look up the word ilk, it isn't derogatory. :D

The above is like ground-hog day. We are not really saved, we are just sinners in need
of a saviour. There is no victory, growth, holiness, purity.

So God will not ask us a question, because He already knows the answer about our lives.
Either we have believed God and accepted His forgiveness and walked in His will and ways
or we have not.

You can see simply from this testimony the totally different views of Christ some have.

Listen to Christ speaking

Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!
Matt 25:23

So who are you going to listen to, Christ or mans construction of theology?
Christ because as per the norm you and a few others don't make any sense, boy satan just loves distorting people's minds, father of lies is right he has deluded many to think they serve Jesus yet deny that he is the only perfect being that walked in flesh, yet somehow they believe his sacrifice was perfect by way of this and somehow are perfect themselves, you can't have it both ways if you're going to continue with "discrediting" Jesus then you serve satan only he would send someone to profess that their self is equal in anyway to God/Jesus as always, but what can one do to show pride blinded ramblers that they still are to be servants to God not masters of their entire being, but Alas they shall walk this earth proclaiming such perfection for they can't see a future for "themselves" without it,ye speaketh as if that you can drinketh out of the same cup of the lord but such "a prideful look" is no other than that of the lingering remnant of Babylon and they shall have the cup of God's wrath poured out upon them.

I would comment that once Peter learned something he did or said was wrong, he stopped doing that. I think that goes for all those ancient saints, sin by sin dropped out of their lives. Peter stopped doubting, Paul stopped persecuting, both plunged full forward into the gospel ministry. We all start off weak concerning sin and even knowing what it is, but the danger we greatest danger we faced was for those knowing to leave us in our sin such that we are left self deceiving. Each one of us came to learn what was wrong through teachings of rules and eventually laws and regulations. Even the Gentiles practiced enough law among themselves to exhibit a measure of God's law in their hearts. They stood to be judged according to their own laws, which we know would be a dangerous route to take. But the sons and daughters of the Gentiles had no alternative, caught up in those world ways.

I spent years smoking cigarettes, even after learning about the health risks. I dreaded the possibilities, like a sinner dreading hell. But I chose to keep smoking until diagnosed with a spot on my lung. When I rushed in for prayer, a preacher told me to let God help by no longer play-acting like the Marlboro Man in the TV ads, I being given away about that by the yellow stain above my lip. I repented and quit cold turkey by the power of the Lord conquering yet another sin habit of damaging my health and witness.

It appears to me the Devil never gives up on keeping the ignorant ones, the lost, especially those who have been exposed to a little truth of the reality of the living God, of Jesus, and a glimmer of righteousness. If I were Satan, why not do all possible to keep someone from gaining enough revelation to become a new creature in Christ? It's a lot more difficult to ruin a true disciple of Christ who has tasted the benefits of obeying the new Master Jesus! That person is on guard, unlike someone with just enough religion to make their knowledge toxic to themselves and others.

Sin by sin, the Lord will take us to task, expecting a change of direction He provides. But that requires listening, seeking, knocking, making up the mind to change by that power not of ourselves, but of the Holy Spirit within.

The issue of "nature" for man to sin by is misunderstood often. People are not born to be like a wild hog that for all its life would, if taken in as a pet, would devour its master once found asleep. The Gentiles having laws to themselves proves there is a distinct creation of human beings in the image and likeness of God, else none of us could ever rise above hopelessness.

The Law served one purpose, to train people up as to what sin is, and that sin has consequences. It causes an inward battle, a struggle of conscience concerning the righteousness of God. The Law saves none. Jesus saves.

You're sure brother? I wonder if that is true, and we ask him, and he lies, how he could justify that in his mind?

Of course simply making the account would be a deceptive lie in and of itself, so if ;he did that, he probably wouldn't have any issue lying again.

But maybe it's not him.
Hi PennED...I was listening to a man today who said " A man without a conscience is a man telling himself he has no sin, so he lies to himself all the time "...I think this is quiet fitting...
This poster pjw had me thinking , questioning myself against the word of God...I find myself like you are, hate sin more and more, so many chains have been broken from me Praise the Lord \o/ , I am dead to them, but like us all, everyday new things will fall away from us because our Lord is forever working in us, I believe every day the Lord our God gives us is fresh, new mercies, new grace, new everything, slate wiped clean, we all stumble and fall short by the grace of God, but I thank God He remembers we are but dust, He is so merciful, we give Him are crooked ways and He alone makes them straight, we confess our wrongs and He makes them right...

Thank You Jesus our LORD and Saviour for saving wretches like us, All the glory to God...xox...

Christ because as per the norm you and a few others don't make any sense,

boy satan just loves distorting people's minds, father of lies is right he has deluded many to think they serve Jesus
yet deny that he is the only perfect being that walked in flesh, yet somehow they believe his sacrifice was perfect by way of this and somehow are perfect themselves,
you can't have it both ways if you're going to continue with "discrediting" Jesus then you serve satan only he would send someone to profess that their self is equal in anyway to God/Jesus as always, but

what can one do to show pride blinded ramblers that they still are to be servants to God not masters of their entire being, but Alas they shall walk this earth proclaiming such perfection for they can't see a future for "themselves" without it,ye speaketh as if that you can drinketh out of the same cup of the lord but such "a prideful look" is no other than that of the lingering remnant of Babylon and they shall have the cup of God's wrath poured out upon them.
This is rather disjointed.

1. We are not making sense
2. We are deluded
3. Jesus is the only perfect person to walk the earth
4. We believe we have been perfected
5. We are discrediting Jesus
6. We are serving satan

Now the difference between is actually quite small. We believe Christ makes us holy, righteous
and pure. It appears you do not.

So putting it simply, by believing this you say we are following satan.

This would mean the cross and its fulfillment in us is your enemy working.
It would be surprising that satan leads people to live holy, pure righteous lives.

Now it is fair to say people are hypocrites and fail, but you actually have to come
up with their actual failure or just let them be. It is always God who convicts of sin.

I would suggest if this line of thinking does not make sense to you, it is not us who
are deluded, but you yourself who cannot see the alternatives involved.

And it is not nonsense, it fits logically with scripture and the facts of peoples experience.

One point about delusion. If you can only see one point of view, and the other is totally
hazy, it suggests you are the one with delusions or bias, because there is no choice involved.

And the truth is, the deluded would never be aware of their state, because they are deluded.
A little ironic, but true. If this was not so, the delusion would not exist, qed.

righttttttt aren't you all talk about willful sin?
so meaning that you insinuate that we are not deluded yet somehow deluded, good luck figuring that one out.

If that's true then there's no hope for any of us, including you my friend.

I have never come across a believer who thinks grace is a "license to sin". That may be the thought of the world, but not the thought of a new creature in Christ.
Well Jude spoke about a group of people who came into the church and wanted their cake (SALVATION) and eat it too (THE WORLD) and wanted the rest of the church to follow them. He called them guilty of turning the grace of God to licentiousness.

Because Jude knew as John did, that whoever wishes to live like the world (sins) has never seen God, nor have they ever known him.

He also Knew as James did, that whoever makes a claim they have faith (are saved) but Has No Work, they are decieved, their faith is dead. They are hearers of the word not doers. Thus they were NEVER SAVED

I think we see the picture, they all agreed. Whoever lives in sin is not of God but is of the world.

because Jude also said that they were condemned already,. Nothing about them losing salvation.

So these people trying to teach salvation can be lost because of sin. They are not reading ther word of God right. Nor do they know God.

Nobody in Christ commits sin.
There is no sin in Christ.

Let me answer that and debunk the erroneous idea that Christians have quit being sinners, with one Bible quote and one observation; since we all know that violating the will of GOD is sinning.

1 Peter 2:13-15 (NKJV)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake, whether to the king as supreme,
[SUP]14 [/SUP] or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good.
[SUP]15 [/SUP] For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men--

The posted speed limit, most certainly is an ordinance of man.
VIOLATING CITY OR STATE ORDINANCES ARE SINS.

LIKE THEY SAY INGORANCE OF THE LAW OR ORDINANCE IS NO EXCUSE!

its of little wonder why people snub the church today.
If we can’t love each other how on earth are we going to love those who want to know Jesus.
Broken, hurt and needy people.

John 13:34-35 (NKJV)
34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

I also think that loving people does not mean agreeing with people. Or taking our belief system and putting it in danger, or slandering other people.

Jesus loved the pharisees, As he did all the world. But he had no problem ripping their false doctrine to shreds.

We have to learn the difference between Love, and enabling.

I wanna add to this that Knowing to do good, and not doing it is also a sin. So that ship will sink quickly!

Maybe they mean the sins listed in 1 corinthians 6:9? Dont know. Seemed like a blanket statement of being sinless, which is FALSE!

Romans 3

1
What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? 2Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God. 3For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?

4God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
5But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man) 6God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world? 7For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner? 8And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.

Read the verse with the Jewish unbeliever in mind.. not Phart who believes in Christ as per His witness..

Believing in Jesus, and being a believer of him are two different things,

even demons believe, yet tremble. we can pray Phart like them will tremble one day like we all did when we came to the knowledge of our savior and repented.
