I use the King James bible, and those words are not in it.

You lost me there.

No matter how you feel about me, the message that you too can live without sin does not hinge on the behavior of anyone but yourself.
God has made a way to live without sin.
If you can't believe me, quit sinning and then God will hear your prayers for a different messenger.

Isn't the word overcome? Not quit?

We overcome by what?

It is irrelevant whether the quote is from Dcon or not. I have done and said many disgusting things as a Christian. Sadly most have. I am not proud of it, but I do apologize for the offense and say I'm sorry.

What IS RELEVANT is that you deliberately sought out damaging information against someone for the purpose of hurting him.

Troubling that you are not being led to see your offense by the Holy Spirit to make amends.
This is an interesting idea.

What is illustrative is the heart and how people behave.
I am accused of being a hypocrite, walking in the ways of the evil one, doomed to hell,
yet if I show the accuser of me is doing the very things not acceptable, somehow I am
guilty of sin.

So you know how we are meant to confront sin within the body. If we become aware of
it and it is denied, you are to bring it to the church, and if it is still denied, the person is
to be expelled from the assembly.

As with most things, the fellowships to which you belong hate this discipline and deny it
has any value, and expel people who actually believe in righteousness and integrity.

Now if dc is squeeky clean, then amen. I just follow the evidence. And the real problem
is I am squeeky clean, so it creates a dilemma. If there is a real problem I am called to
bring it into the light and show people what we are talking about.

If what is brought into the light is proven true, then amen, truth has abounded. If not,
then the cause of the problem is also established. Amen to this.

The matters of the Kingdom are not about being nice and polite, of letting evil carry on,
of dispossessing people because you do not like something about them.

And righteousness has never been about hurting people, it is about getting right with God.

But it does not surprise me about your calls for me being the evil party, and dc the wounded
one. I can already see you know where the truth lies, and still I am evil. That does make me
laugh, because it does not make any difference. We are talking about someone swearing at
someone else. But obviously this is such a serious issue to you guys, I am now evil, and this
is such a crime.

Do you actually have a home life or know what spirituality actually is? I do not think so.
Talk about a bunch of pharisees, you take the biscuit......

The onslaught of Peter is uncalled for.

Go talk with DC establish what the Truth is and support Him.

Love, Truth and forgiveness is Victory in Christ through our GOD.

Time to exercise this and for all any of us know it may be a turning point for all of us to unite in Christ for GOD’s Glory and ever Praise.
Actually the "establish truth" with Dcontroversal isn't necessary, whatever he said in his twitter account is his personal business just as with facebook or other private sites, the point is that Peter looked for something with intent to hurt dcontroversal which didn't work and reposted willfully to continue to try to hurt him,I don't care who someone is on here that behavior is wrong.

What is stunning to me, is for you to believe a brother could be something else
entirely is too much to grasp.

And the reason being, it would shatter some loyalties and beliefs that you really
do know who you are talking to.

Pastors go astray, friends betray friends, wives and husbands commit adultery.

So we are to be as wise as serpents and as innocent as doves.

What I have learnt from interactions like this, when things are proven true, people
say, we knew all along, and dismiss it as if it never was an issue.

So God bless you, because I know the score, and know who I am dealing with.
I wish I was a child in someways, it would not involve such contorted individuals and
serious issues.

But the Lord is teaching me how to see the truth and just proclaim it. Glory to His
name.

And what the sting really is, when the truth hurts, that is then deemed to be hurting ones
neighbour, not exposing sin and bringing the wisdom of God to bear so repentance and confession
can happen.

John the Baptist died because he preached against Herods sin. In your mind he should have kept
quiet, not exactly the Kingdom you have an allegiance to.
Am sorry you have done this Peter, whether what you say is true or not, it is not my business to know such things...What you have done is brought something to this thread for all to see from someones personal life who I may add is not even here yet to defend himself :(...This is a thread about how our Lord has saved us, through God`s grace, through our faith, not about pulling things up and hanging it out for all to see...How can you not feel shame, where is your gentle spirit, why go out of your way with a wicked though to do such deeds...

I do not claim much knowledge in the Word as yet, but one thing I do know, NO way did you do this act through the Holy Spirit, Jesus confronted those who were against Him, not pull sneaky things up to shame them with a solid reason, I pray you will give DCon an apology, it`s very hurtful to see...xox...

Thank God for the rebirth...of a better man gendered from God's seed.
I don't see where Paul, Peter, James etc were comparable to Jesus PJW. Believed in His power, yes. Moved by His power and the authority of His name, yes. But, out of their own good self? No.

Peter you are far from squeaky clean. The mud you slung at Dcon, turned around and splattered back onto you.. you're just as much a hypocrite as any of us..

Dcon has denied it. That is good enough for me. He said he was hacked. Anyone who says differently is just calling him a liar.

A serious charge in the church setting.

Am beginning to think that the headquarters here...:); are thinking we need to hash this out ourselves.

Just have to wait I guess.

Just for clarification. Peter didn't post the smut post. It was removed. Peter just honed in on it in attack.
The language here is very provocative.
Now either dc wrote these tweets or he did not, fact.

Either this is a fair representation of who he really is or not.

My point is actually it fits his profile. But this is now slander and a grevious sin.
Not surprising churches get in a mess if this is enough to cause a problem.

And if quoting someone from twitter is the lowest thing ever on cc, you have not
seen some of the stuff that is posted. Talk about exaguration.

But I think this also makes my point about where your hearts are.
Walking with Christ is about walking in holiness, purity and love.

Listen to Paul

For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.
Eph 1:4

For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.
1 Thess 4:7

Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
Heb 12:14

Do you know what this actually means?

I suggest not. These words appear to be far from your hearts.

Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
2 Cor 7:1

Praise the Lord that through the cross we have the victory over sin and death.

These are not idle words or promises with no reality. But for some it appears they
do not have faith to believe Christ can deliver this for them today. My encouragement
to you today is ask Jesus to show you the way, and He will, through His word.
It is His promise. Ask the Holy Spirit and He will deliver it to you.

I also think that loving people does not mean agreeing with people. Or taking our belief system and putting it in danger, or slandering other people.

Jesus loved the pharisees, As he did all the world. But he had no problem ripping their false doctrine to shreds.

We have to learn the difference between Love, and enabling.
Yes I totally agree with you.
Jesus loves everyone. For God so loved the world.

What I find intersting is that people just spout without actually thinking about how who they are spouting to will react.

I myself endeavour to understand a person and how they tick. I have had to learn that based on my own psyche.

And I am sure Jesus did that.

The adulteress woman “Does anyone condemn you, neither do I.
Zacheus “Hey mate I’m coming to your house today, you got any food in?

Those who sought after Jesus he dealt differently than the religiously hypocritical religious establishment, those who had no issue exalting themselves above those they considered crap and and put a bar in place that they couldn’t jump over themselves.

To me there is a difference between ripping their doctrines apart as opposed to ripping the person apart.

Words that Jesus used, and the Apostles used can in today’s culture seem harsh, maybe not in their day though.
So maybe they used words such as foolish, hypocrite, sons of the devil, serpents and so on.

So as I say for me it’s understanding the person we want to engage with and engage in a way that they would respond to.

Ok maybe I am soft and naive but it seems to work for me.

I'm really not in this for dcontroversal,I'm really in this for God for any who mock God/Jesus with such outlandishly bold claims and hurtful intentions are not God's if Peter or others repent of this ridiculous "attitude" and seek God/Jesus instead of declaring as if anyone is perfect which of course not one person in the bible that was a faithful servant of God,called themselves perfect and neither should we then that would be great,it's just useless ego if they continue this way.

And you think lying about others has not been going on for years and these guys are
innocent. Where are you living and listening to people who are totally morally compromised.

If the church no longer preaches morality, they should not expect people to follow it.

You're of the same ilk of those false accusers mentioned in Romans 3:8. Through the same misunderstanding and rejection of the true Gospel, you slander others with false accusations in ignorance. (If it is perhaps ignorance)
The definition of grace....OT...when one who is superior, bends the knee in kindness to another who is inferior. God to man.

Get the word inferior?

NT...the divine influence upon the heart, with it's reflections in the life, including gratitude. Holy Spirit within, now the grace of God who comes inside, and alongside to help. The helper...the comforter. The savior still in the world. HOLY SPIRIT.

We trust in His influence..the power of the Word which is life and spirit. He saves us in a continual washing by the water of the Word...and the power of Himself empowering us.

But, who has it all? You say you are without sin? Then you have reached the glory of the King Himself filling you.

There would be multitudes flocking to you to get healed. That is what happens as the glory fills. His Glory.

We only get there by Passover, Pentecost...and the crucified life as He reveals the Son in us.

Wow...you don't know what you are saying.

oh sorry Preacher. That should be to the one you were posting to. Got it mixed up.

We are going around in circles.. you have neither the power to give or take.. neither I.. you are out to prove someone is in unbelief and many will heckle along with your show.. farewell.
Whatever, Your right, we are going in circles. And your right, I have no power to give or take. Only God does. So why you had to respond like this is beyond me.

And I was not out to prove someone wrong, Your are as bad as Peter and Phart with all your slander. How can you live with yourself?

I did not tell you you had to believe me, and I never thought for a minute you would change your mind, But you asked me, so i responded in kind. And now your attacking me for answering your question? Sad..

If you did not want to know what I thought, don't bother asking.

Morality? The tree of knowledge of good and evil is all about morality. Not innocence through the sacrifice. Peter, get it straight. Fallen men can act good but have an evil hidden sometimes, heart.

A new heart. But, babes...fall, stumble about until they are young men, which 1John states it to be the overcoming the evil one.

Then fathers teach. And instruct...and give mercy to the others as they stumble about...to bring them up to the stature of maturity.

Morality? ha!

ARE you born from above Peter?

Well PJW, here are a bunch of translations from Galatians 2:13. All but one of them use Hypocrite or hypocrisy, which IS sin:

New International Version
The other Jews joined him in his hypocrisy, so that by their hypocrisy even Barnabas was led astray.

King James Bible
And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation.

So maybe you want to cling to the KJV. WEll that's an even harsher word used: DISSIMULATION

  • concealment of one's thoughts, feelings, or character; pretense.
    "an attempt at dissimulation"

synonyms:
pretense, dissembling, deceit, dishonesty, duplicity, lying, guile, subterfuge, feigning, shamming, faking, bluff, bluffing, posturing, hypocrisy"he was capable of great dissimulation and hypocrisy"

Are you capable of admitting you were wrong? Or will your pride prevent you from confessing this sin also?
NOW, GETTING BACK TO THE QUESTION. SINCE PETER OBVIOUSLY SINNED HERE, IS HE SAVED? OR ARE YOU MORE PERFECT THAN PETER?
My dictionary agrees with your findings..."hide ones true feelings".
I erased all but one of the versions above, plus the one I use, to keep us on track.
Please give me a moment of your time as I explain how I perceive Peter's "predicament".
May I first offer this allegory?
I drink beer without condemnation. (last one about 6 months ago)
If I have a Mormon over to my house, (non drinkers), would I be a hypocrite for NOT offering him a beer?
Would I be judged for "hiding my true feelings" by remaining "dry", to make him feel more comfortable?
Peter was caught on the cusp of OT-NT life.
The visiting Jews still didn't eat with Gentiles, so Peter manifested his intent to make the Jews comfortable
Had he realized that the Gentiles would be offended, (which is not written of), I'm sure he would have come to the same conclusion as you have.
We have the opportunity to see everything the disciples did with 20-20 hindsight.
I will not accuse Peter of sin, for doing what he thought was right.
Had his motive been something wicked or servile to the flesh, I would agree with you.

As Paul wrote, Pete was manifesting that the law had priority in Peter's life, instead of the freedoms in the law of Christ.
So the main question should be...was keeping the law a sin?
I think not, as "thousands at Jerusalem were zealously keeping the law".
Will you accuse them of sin too?
I hope not.

And even if that IS him on Twitter, his post there has no reason to be put on here by you.. You only did that to sling mud on someone's name.. How unChrist-like.. I wouldn't blame Dcon if he goes and digs up some dirt on you somewhere. I'm sorry but I do hope you're banned for doing this..
