John 4:19-26, “The woman said to Him, “Master, I see that You are a prophet. But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father also does seek such to worship Him. the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth,

for the Father also does seek such to worship Him. YHWH is Spirit, and

I like this scripture quoted because it says a lot. I believe God has His people in all the different Churches that are honest of heart and sincerely want to follow Jesus. It is to these he calls because it is written; And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

and again.........

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

God is calling all his true followers to come out of following the traditions and teachings of man to follow him in Spirit and in truth according to His Word.

Sunday worship is a tradition of man that breaks the commandments of God (the fruit of love). Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of man or the Word of God?. Jesus says if we follow the traditions of man over the Word of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we believe God or man?

God's Sheep hear His voice..........

that chapter in Jeremiah was describing how idols are made, and how silly it is to worship them.

now, if someone puts up a Christmas tree, and bows down and worships it, that is pagan and sinfull.

if one puts up a tree, and celebrates the Birth of Christ, and gives gifts in the sprit of the wise men, then nothing wrong with that.

yes, I know the tree thing has pagan roots, Jesus was most likely not born on the 25th of December, and the wise men were not at the manger, they came later.

see, I actually , you know, study.
It's your "Feast unto the Lord" you created for the image of your god in the likeness of a long haired men's hair shampoo model, you make it whatever you want.. That's the cool thing about creating your owns traditions and doctrines. The sky is the limit, you can do whatever the imagination of your mind directs you to do.

You claim to study, but why would the God of the Bible give you understanding given you have not only created an image of god in the likeness of men, which is direct disobedience to the First and Greatest Commandment, but you also create "Feasts unto the Lord" that Jesus, Moses, and Paul Specifically preached not to do.

1 Cor. 10:5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

Of course you know what part of the Examples this is referring to because you claim to, you know, study.

Ex. 32:3 And all the people brake off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron.
4 And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf(or a long haired pretty boy, what's the difference): and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

Notice Aaron created their idol for what was in their own ears, what they heard, not what God told them.

5 And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, To morrow is a "feast to the LORD".

Well look hear G9, they did exactly what you did. They created an image in the likeness of their own mind, and then they created a "Feast unto that likeness".

6 And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.

Same thing Paul is speaking to. What do you think offering offerings is? Singing happy birthday to the image of a long haired men's underwear model you call Jesus? Giving gifts in His Name.

"brought peace offerings" Peace on earth and good will toward men".

It all sounds quite charming. But what did Jesus, before He became a man, say to them?

7 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves:

You either believe in the Jesus of the Bible, or you believe in the image man has created after the likeness of man.

God /Jesus doesn't need you or the Pope or Benny Hinn to create laws for Him, Create "Feasts unto the Lord" for him, create images of Him. He is Lord, and no other.

I implore you, don't lust after evil as the examples written for us did. If I were you I would run, not walk away from anyone who "Comes in His Name" but preaches traditions and doctrines of men. It isn't to late yet.

Sorry LGF, your post are long and confusing. Can you state your case in two or three sentences?
Hi Crossnote,

You can pray and ask God but simply this thread is about;

1. God's 4th commandment is still one of the 10 commandments.

2. People have been deceived by the Roman Catholic Church into worshiping God on the wrong day of the week.

3. Sunday worship is a teaching and tradition of man that has replaced God's 4th commandment (Exodus 20:8-11).

4. If we knowingly break God's 4th commandment we are guilty before God of committing sin and in danger of God's judgement.

5. In times of ignorance God winks at but when a knowledge of the truth has come calls all men everywhere to repent and believe His Word and follow it. Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of man or the Word of God?.

6. This was the same problem in the days of Jesus and the mainstream religion of the day professing to be the people of God while not following him

7. This is the same problem that we have today. Jesus says if we follow the traditions of man over the Word of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9).

Hope this is helpful

May God bless you as you seek him through His Word...

8. Jesus is our example and he kept the Sabbath (Matt 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56; John 2:6; Matt 16:24; 1 Cor 11:1; Eph 5:1-21; Pet 2:20-22)
9. The Apostle kept the Sabbath (Acts 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4; Rev 1:10)

God’s Law in the NC is written on our hearts it is through love and it is love the fulfils God’s Law in us as we walk not after the flesh but after the spirit and is why Jesus says f you love me keep my commandments. (John 14:15; John 15:10). If we knowingly break one of God’s commandments we commit sin (1 John 3:4). This includes the 7th Day Sabbath which Jesus made for us and commands us to keep as a holy day.

Who should we believe God or man?

In Christ Always!

Sure, the Apostles kept the Sabbath on Saturday, but they didn't ALWAYS keep it that day.

Matt. 28:1; Mark 16:2,9; John 20:1,19- the Gospel writers purposely reveal Jesus’ resurrection and appearances were on Sunday. This is because Sunday had now become the most important day in the life of the Church.

Acts 20:7 – this text shows the apostolic tradition of gathering together to celebrate the Eucharist on Sunday, the “first day of the week.” Luke documents the principle worship was on Sunday because this was one of the departures from the Jewish form of worship.

1 Cor. 16:2 – Paul instructs the Corinthians to make contributions to the churches “on the first day of the week,” which is Sunday. This is because the primary day of Christian worship is Sunday.

Col. 2:16-17 – Paul teaches that the Sabbath was only a shadow of what was fulfilled in Christ, and says “let no one pass judgment any more over a Sabbath.”

2 Thess. 2:15 – we are to hold fast to apostolic tradition, whether it is oral or written. The 2,000 year-old tradition of the Church is that the apostles changed the Sabbath day of worship from Saturday to Sunday.

Heb. 4:8-9 – regarding the day of rest, if Joshua had given rest, God would not later speak of “another day,” which is Sunday, the new Sabbath. Sunday is the first day of the week and the first day of the new creation brought about by our Lord’s resurrection, which was on Sunday.

Heb. 7:12 – when there is a change in the priesthood, there is a change in the law as well. Because we have a new Priest and a new sacrifice, we also have a new day of worship, which is Sunday.

Rev 1:10 – John specifically points out that he witnesses the heavenly Eucharistic liturgy on Sunday, the Lord’s day, the new day of rest in Christ.

Matt. 16:19; 18:18 – whatever the Church binds on earth is bound in heaven. Since the resurrection, Mass has been principally celebrated on Sunday.

Sure, you can blame us bad 'ol Catholics for changing the Sabbath to Sunday, but we know it came from the Apostles. Scripture is quite clear on what day "the first day of the week" is.

Besides, I can go to Mass late Saturday afternoon and fulfill my Sunday obligation so there shouldn't be a problem.

Sure, the Apostles kept the Sabbath on Saturday, but they didn't ALWAYS keep it that day.

This is the problem with your statement as I see the scriptures. You said the Apostles kept God's Sabbath as did Jesus and every other righteous example of the Bible. And that is true. There is no denying that.

What Jesus and His apostles did on other days of the week, whether it be fishing, or studying God's Word, or gathering in fellowship to break bread, does not create another, or change any of God's Commands. We know from every prophesy of the future written for our admonition that God's Sabbaths and Commandments are still in force after He comes back.

The only reason this is even a contention is because of Mainstream religious Teaching, not the Bibles teaching.

The Bible teaches God created His Sabbath, for man.

Imagine how it was for Jesus? He was born into a religion filled with wonderful, loving grandma's and Grandpa's, mothers and fathers and children. They were no different than you or I and any attempt by Mainstream Preachers to portray them any different is a purposeful deception.

But as Jesus studied and learned He found this religion, and those who followed it, were deceived into "Transgressing the Commandments of God by their own traditions.

They claimed to know God, but in works they denied Him. So Jesus, because He loved them, open up their own Bible that they claimed to honor, and showed them (Mainstream Preachers of His time) from it where they were preaching a false religion.

Did they thank Jesus from freeing them from the bondage of death and deception? No, they defended and protected their traditions and doctrines they had created and killed the ONE who loved them enough to show them the truth.

Jesus was born into this religion. He could have accepted their traditions over the teaching of God. He would have been popular, He would have had social power and wealth. But He chose God over Mainstream Religion.

Fast forward to today. You and I were both born into a religion that "Transgresses the commandments of God by man made traditions and doctrines." There is no denying this truth.

LGF and others have chosen to follow the Word of God over the Traditions of man. Isn't that the path Jesus took?

6. If you are in unrepentant sin you have not seen Jesus or know him (1 John 3:6)
7. John warns us that only those that are obedience to God’s Law are his true followers (1 John 3:7)
8. If someone is committing unrepentant sin they are following the devil and not God (1 John 3:7)
9. If you are born of God and abiding in him you will not commit sin (1 John 3:9; 1 John 3:6; John 15:4-10
10. It is the keeping of God’s commandments that is the difference between those that are following God and those that are not following God (1 John 3:10; 1 John 5:3)
11. It is only by Love through faith that we can keep God’s commandments (1 John 5:3-4)
12. God’s true believers in the end days will keep all of God’s commandments through faith in Jesus (Rev 14:12; 22:14)

James also affirms the 10 commandments…….

1. James says God’s Law (10 commandments) are a Royal Law (James 2:8)
2. If we break one of God’s commandments we a guilty before God as sinners breaking all of God’s Law and gave some examples of breaking God’s Law (James 2:9-11)
3. James says God’s Law is a law of liberty and freedom (James 2:12)
4. The 10 commandments (God’s Law) are the standard in the judgment (James 2:12)
5. If our faith does not have the fruit of obedience to God’s Law it is dead and not true faith (James 2:16-26)

Peter affirms the 10 commandments……..

1. Sanctification is to obedience to God’s Law (1 Pet 1:2)
2. We can only be changed from sin to obedience to God’s Law by the power of God and it will be revealed in the last days (1 Pet 1:5)
3. We should give up our sins to be holy because Jesus is holy (1 Pet 1:13-16)
4. Jesus is your example who did no sin (1 Pet 2:21-22)
5. Cease from sin and do not live in the flesh (1 Pet 4:1-3)
6. Judgement will begin at the house of God and sinners (those breaking God’s 10 commandments) will not be saved.
7. God has given us his precious promises and as we believe them God will grant us his divine power to live a life of Godliness (obedience to God’s Law; 2 Pet 1:2-4)
8. The Un-Godly (disobedient to God’s Law) will be like Sodom and Gomorrah (2 Pet 2:6)
9. If any turn away from God’s Law and are in unrepentant sin breaking any of God’10 commandments they will be lost (2 Pet 2:20-22)
10 God is not willing that any should perish but that everyone should come to repentance and turn away from sin to follow God’s 10 commandments because those that do not will receive the judgements of God (2 Pet 3:5-14)

What did Jesus and the Apostles teach about the Sabbath in the New Testament?

1. It is lawful to do good on the Sabbath (Matt 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56)
2. Jesus made the Sabbath for all mankind (Mark 2:27)
3. Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath (Mark 2:28)
4. If you do not believe and follow God you cannot enter His Sabbath rest (Hebrews 4)
5. It is one of God’s 10 commandments we break it we are guilty or breaking all (James 2:8-12)
6. Breaking it is sin (1 John 3:4)
7. God’s true followers keep it Holy as God commanded (Rev 14:12; Rev 22:14; Eze 20:20)

In Christ Always!
what I see here is this- man-made teaching. cobbling together verses in an attempt to push a Sabbath- law agenda is 100% man-made teaching.

you do understand that the Torah was only given to Israel only. note how many times the phrase " it shall be a statue forever to the children of Israel " appears in the Pentateuch. nothing about a statue for all mankind.

and you know the Gospels were books, meant to be read in their entirety , and also the letters of the Apostles were, you know, letters. none of these were meant to be chopped into pieces and have a theme and theology built around them. false teaching all the way.

so, I believe God's written word, rightly divided and used in proper context. not your pieced together Hebrew roots cult deception. I bet you are wearing blended fabric right now!

upon your hand and as a reminder between your eyes,

...Hand and head the beast has a counter mark: Also in the hand and head

Revelation 14:9-11, And a third messenger followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark upon his forehead or upon his hand, he also shall drink of the wine of the wrath of Yah, which is poured out undiluted into the cup of His wrath. And he shall be tortured with fire and sulfur before the set-apart messengers and before the Lamb. And the smoke of their torture goes up forever and ever. And they have no rest day or night, those worshiping the beast and his image, also if anyone receives the mark of his name.”

For we can see the end time anti-Messiah will be "the Lawless one"

2 Thessalonians 2:6-12, "For the mystery of iniquity (secret initiation of lawlessness*) is already working, but the One restraining him will continue to restrain him, until he is made to appear in the midst. And then that lawless one will be revealed, whom Yahshua will remove with the breath of His mouth, and make powerless with the appearance of His coming-- Whose coming is according to the energy of Satan, who works with all power, and signs, and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of sin in those who are perishing, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason, YHWH will send them strong delusion, that they would believe the deception, In order that all those may be judged as not having believed the truth, but as having delighted in sin."

Hi Crossnote,

You can pray and ask God but simply this thread is about;

Thanks LGF, I am glad Jesus perfectly kept all the law in my place as well as bore my punishment I deserved for being a law breaker. Also I am glad and rejoice that He has given me a new nature through the new birth writing His moral code on my heart.
He has also given me rest (Sabbath)from my works where I am free to serve Him without fear of condemnation.

which were given ONLY to Israel.

Nothing to do with the Roman Catholic church

3. Sunday worship is a teaching and tradition of man that has replaced God's 4th commandment (Exodus 20:8-11).
Acts 20.7 says differently

4. If we knowingly break God's 4th commandment we are guilty before God of committing sin and in danger of God's judgement.
we are NOT. Romans 14.5-6; Col 2.16-17

5. In times of ignorance God winks at but when a knowledge of the truth has come calls all men everywhere to repent and believe His Word and follow it. Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of man or the Word of God?.
The word of God see above

6. This was the same problem in the days of Jesus and the mainstream religion of the day professing to be the people of God while not following him
but they were over zealous over keeping the Sabbath. But there is NO requirement in the New Testament to observe it. Imagine what it would have been like if YOU had written it.

7. This is the same problem that we have today. Jesus says if we follow the traditions of man over the Word of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9).
Se we follow the New Testament.

H226 אוֹת 'owth (oth), a signal (literally or figuratively), as a flag, beacon, monument, omen, prodigy, evidence, etc., [probably from H225 (in the sense of appearing)], KJV: mark, miracle, (en-)sign, token.

So we see the word “sign” can be also translated as “mark” and this sign/mark represents “evidence of consent.” It is also key to notice that this mark/sign/evidence of consent is “on your hand and as a reminder between your eyes.” Now in Scripture “on your hand” means by your actions or what you do with the power/choices you have in your life. A “reminder between your eyes” would be your brain, thoughts or faith, after all what do you remember with that is in between your eyes? Your brain. So to put “on your hand and as a reminder between your eyes” into simpler terms it could be by your works and faith.

Now the first reaction by most is “but that’s Old Testament and the Law is no more.” Thus claiming this verses no longer applies because the Scripture says the Law is the sign/mark:

Exodus 13:9, “And it shall be as a *sign to you on your hand and as a reminder between your eyes, that the Torah (Instructions/Law) of יהוה is to be in your mouth...”

Is the Law “done away” or “nailed to the cross?” A study in itself… However lets touch on a few verses concerning this that we may have Scriptural insight;

Luke 16:17, “And it is easier for the heaven and the earth to pass away than for one tittle of the Torah to fall.”

Matt 5:18, "For truly I say to you; Unless heaven and earth passes away, one yodh – the smallest of the letters – will in no way pass from the Law, until all things are perfected."

Colossians 2- v.14 says the maleh chukat haTorah ( full statue requirement of the Torah ) which was against us, Moshiach ( messiah ) did away with it, nailing it to the cross. in Hebrew.

yet another Hebrew roots fail, but I am learning Hebrew , so thanks for that!!

COLOSSIANS 2:14-17 PART 1/2 THE REAL TRUTH

The above scripture is used by the “many” to distance themselves from Gods weekly Sabbath day of the 4th commandment. This is for those that may be interested in learning the real meaning of the scriptures and not that of those leading others to break the commandments of God to follow the traditions and teachings of man over the Word of God. So, what is Col. 2{16} really talking about.?

Let's use the scriptures interpret scripture.............................

COL. 2 [16]
Let no man therefore judge you in MEAT, or in DRINK, or in respect of an HOLYDAY, or of the NEW MOON, or of the SABBATH DAY(S) <plural>:

EZEKIEL 45 [17] And it shall be the prince's part to give BURNT OFFERINGS, and MEAT OFFERINGS, and DRINK OFFERINGS, in the FEASTS, and in the NEW MOONS, and in the SABBATH(S), in all solemnities of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the house of Israel.

Here’s a scripture, same exact order as Col 2{16}, meat, drink, holy days (feast days), new moons, Sabbath(s). No doubt what so ever these 2 scriptures are speaking of the same thing. See how that on those days there was a sin offering made. The blood of Christ is now that offering. Col.2 and Ezekiel 45 are simply speaking of the meat and drink offerings which were written in the Mosaic law contained within the ordinances which were to take place on Gods annual festivals, new moons and His annual ceremonial Sabbath days and Holy convocations (Leviticus 23).

HEBREWS 13 [9] Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be ESTABLISHED WITH GRACE; NOT WITH MEATS, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein. [10] We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle. [11] For THE BODIES OF THOSE BEASTS, WHOSE BLOOD is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp. [12] WHEREFORE JESUS ALSO, THAT HE MIGHT SANCTIFY THE PEOPLE WITH HIS OWN BLOOD, suffered without the gate.

But now we are no longer under the Mosaic laws concerning the meat and drink offerings of Gods holy days, new moons and annual festival sabbaths and holy convocations. Jesus fulfilled the law. We are now under grace.

JOHN 6 [53] Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. [54] Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. [55] For MY FLESH IS MEAT INDEED, and MY BLOOD IS DRINK INDEED.

When we let scripture interpret scripture it’s very clear what Col.2 is speaking about. The meat and drink offerings of those days are no longer to be kept and no one is to judge you for not keeping them because they were shadows pointing to Jesus.

NUMBERS 28 [9] And on the Sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two tenth deals of flour for a MEAT OFFERING, mingled with oil, and the DRINK OFFERING thereof: [10] This is the burnt offering of EVERY SABBATH, beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering.

There’s the meat and drink offerings for the monthly and annual festival sabbath days that Col.2 [16] was speaking of. This was not a weekly requirement for the 4[SUP]th[/SUP] commandment of God’s Law (Exodus 20:8-11)

EZEKIEL 46 [6] And in the day of the NEW MOON it shall be a young bullock without blemish, and six lambs, and a ram: they shall be without blemish. [7] And he shall prepare a MEAT OFFERING, an ephah for a bullock, and an ephah for a ram, and for the lambs according as his hand shall attain unto, and an hin of oil to an ephah.

The meat offering for the new moon that was spoken of in Col.2 [16].

LEVITICUS 23 [4] These are THE FEASTS OF THE LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons. [5] In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is THE LORD'S PASSOVER. [6] And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the Lord: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread…… [13] And the MEAT OFFERING thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the Lord for a sweet savour: and the DRINK OFFERING thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin.

In all the feast days (holy days) meat and drink offerings were written into the laws of commandments contained in the ordinances. The above scripture points out the holy day of Passover when Jesus was crucified.

HEBREWS 9 [1] Then verily THE FIRST COVENANT HAD ALSO ORDINANCES of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.... [9] WHICH WAS A FIGURE for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;[10] WHICH STOOD ONLY IN MEATS AND DRINKS, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.[12] NEITHER BY THE BLOOD OF GOATS AND CALVES, BUT BY HIS OWN BLOOD he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Once again, the 1st covenant had ordinances which stood only in meat and drinks which were a figure! A shadow!

EPH.2 [15] HAVING ABOLISHED in his flesh the enmity, even the LAW OF COMMANDMENTS CONTAINED IN ORDINANCES; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;[16] And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

COL. 2 [13] And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; [14] BLOTTING OUT THE HANDWRITING OF ORDINANCES that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

ISAIAH 24 [5] The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, CHANGED THE ORDINANCE, broken the everlasting covenant.[6] Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.

But in this “Day of the Lord” scripture it seems the many will go on believing what they’ve been taught by their sunday mourning pulpiteers. They will continue to believe the commandments mentioned in Eph.2 and Col. 2 are the 10 commandments and not the law of commandments contained in the ordinances

The “many” claim that the sabbath was the shadow of Christ. But what do the scriptures say

COL.2 [14] BLOTTING OUT THE HANDWRITING OF ORDINANCES that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;[15] And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.[16] Let no man therefore judge you in MEAT, or in DRINK, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:[17] WHICH ARE A SHADOW OF THINGS TO COME; but the body is of Christ.

To be continued...................
Gosh, you are on here as well as Christian forums. And putting up the same debates. And the same comments it seems.

4. If we knowingly break God's 4th commandment we are guilty before God of committing sin and in danger of God's judgement.

...
how could you unknowingly break a law written in your mind and placed on your heart? What is in your mind you in your mind must know. And law in your heart must bring heartfelt conviction of sin when you wilfully transgress it, for:

Through the law we become conscious of sin

Where does it say in the scriptures that Jesus and the Apostles did not always keep God's Sabbath (4th commandment)?. Where does it say in anything you have posted that God's 4th commandment is now abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday Holy? No work or business is to be carried out on God's Sabbath as it is a day of rest and a memorial of creation. As long as you fulfill your duty of love to God everything will be ok.

None of the scriptures you have quoted says that God's 4th commandment has been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day.

Sunday worship is a tradition of man that breaks the commandments of God. Many have forsaken or been deceived into breaking God's 4th commandment and replaced it with Sunday worship. In times of ignorance God winks at but when a knowledge of the truth has come calls all men everywhere to repent and believe His Word.

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of man or the Word of God?. Jesus says if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we believe God or man?

2. People have been deceived by the Roman Catholic Church into worshiping God on the wrong day of the week.
Nothing to do with the Roman Catholic church
You do not know history and the origin of the Sunday worship within the mother of all Churches that the daughter Churchs (Protestantism) follows. Sunday worship was adopted by the Roman Catholic Church, then officially sanctioned by the Roman Catholic church at the council of Laodicea in A.D. 364 (Strand, op. cit., citing Charles J. Hefele, A History of the Councils of the Church, 2 [Edinburgh, 1876] 316). See Also below the RCC confession of changing God's 4th commandment to Sunday Worship.

3. Sunday worship is a teaching and tradition of man that has replaced God's 4th commandment (Exodus 20:8-11).
Acts 20.7 says differently
Acts 20:7 only says that the disciples broke bread. They had a meal together because Paul was departing the next day v11. How does this verse say that God's 4th commandment has been abolished and we are now commanded to Keep Sunday as a Holy day? ........ Oh yea it doesn't

4. If we knowingly break God's 4th commandment we are guilty before God of committing sin and in danger of God's judgement.
we are NOT. Romans 14.5-6; Col 2.16-17
Suggest you read the OP for Col 2. Seems you haven't. Do you know what other special annual Sabbaths that could fall on any day of the week were that were different to the 4th commandment?. Romans 14 does not even mention God's Sabbath but is referred to in the OP. Which one of your scriptures tell is that God's 4th commandment is now abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day?

what I see here is this- man-made teaching. cobbling together verses in an attempt to push a Sabbath- law agenda is 100% man-made teaching.

you do understand that the Torah was only given to Israel only. note how many times the phrase " it shall be a statue forever to the children of Israel " appears in the Pentateuch. nothing about a statue for all mankind.

and you know the Gospels were books, meant to be read in their entirety , and also the letters of the Apostles were, you know, letters. none of these were meant to be chopped into pieces and have a theme and theology built around them. false teaching all the way.

so, I believe God's written word, rightly divided and used in proper context. not your pieced together Hebrew roots cult deception. I bet you are wearing blended fabric right now!
Hello gb9,

Nice to meet you here. Why do you say the scriptures posted in post # 386 (linked) is man made teaching? It is just scripture from God's Word and if so we must believe and follow it. If you do not believe it is true please prove so with scripture. If you cannot we should believe God's Word.

Do you know what the Torah is? The Torah (Hebrew word) and the Pentateuch (Greek word for the same) are the same thing. The Torah (Hebrew) or Pentateuch (Greek word used for Torah) is the first 5 books of the bible written by Moses. Are you saying that the first 5 books of the bible are not for Christians?

God's Word says, if you are not part of God's Israel you have no part in the New Covenant (Hebrews 8:10-12).

We are to live by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God not some of it. Did you know that everything from the New Testament writings comes from the Old Testament scriptures (Matthew 4:4; 2 Timothy 3:16-17)

A false teaching or a false Gospel is one that tries to separate God's Law from the cross........

Because it is only through the Law of God (10 commandments) that any of us have a knowledge of what sin is (1John 3:4; Rom 3:20; 24). If we do away with God's Law we have no knowledge of sin. If we have no knowledge of sin we have no need of a savior. If we have no need of a savior we have no salvation. If we have no salvation we are lost. "For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law." (Rom 2:12).

God's Law shows us that we are sinners in need of a savior. God's Law was given to us that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God (Rom 3:19). It shows us that we are sinners and cannot save ourselves from this disease that we have within us so that we can by Faith lay hold of the promises of God's Words so that Jesus can save us from our sins. Jesus did not come to save the righteous (those that think they do not need saving) but sinners (those that know their need of saving) (Matt 9:12-13; Mark 2:17; Luke 5:32) God's Law has always been part of the true Gospel of Christ. The counterfeit Gospel does not have it. God's forever Law (the 10 commandments) is the foundation of both the Old and the New Covenant and the very foundation and basis of the true Gospel of Christ. It will be the basis of the judgement where we will all be accountable to God.

The Law of God is the only way of showing us who we truly are, sinners in need of a Saviour and in this condition we can see for the first time Him who loved us and washed us in His own blood and by faith only lay hold of the promises of God’s Word. (2Pet 1:4) It is here as we believe God that he changes us from living a life of breaking God's Law to a life of walking with him. It is through the operation of God through Love because he first loved us that we follow Jesus not for salvation but because of love. Love is the fulfilling of God's Law in us who walk not after the flesh (carnal sinful mind) but after the spirit and why Jesus says to his followers, "If you love me keep the commandments" (John 14:15).

People cannot see that this is the operation of God in the believer and assume God's people believe they are saved by their works, when in fact Jesus is saving us from our sins to walk in newness of life in fulfillment of His new Covenant promise (Heb 8:10-12)...... Gods Sheep hear His Voice salvation is from sin and sin is the transgression of God's Law (1John 3:4) whosoever is living in sin has neither seen him nor known him (1John 3:6) ..........

I absolutely agree with you..but sadly and I hate to say it...all of traditional christianity are making and worshipping their own creation. It's what people do when not loving, obeying and following the true God of the Bible. They make their own idols and icons and do with them 'as they will...just like pagans and heathens did of old...and think they can do the same still. They love to manipulate and pull the strings but absolutely hate to obey. That's just the way things work for the natural man....but God requires disciplene and obedience ...submitting in love. No commandment-keeping...no Love ! and the one most dear to God they have and still keep nailed to the cross. How sad !
