To me to unrepent is unrepent of by belief in Jesus and totally reject it.
The me that loved to sin has also been nailed to the cross with Jesus.
But also the me that hates it when I do sin.
To me that’s my new nature, or creature as you put it.
If the "me that loved sin" has been killed, why is it committing sin?
Please have faith in the power of God that says "And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh, with the affections and lusts." (Gal 5:24)

Whats evil fruit?
Sin.
God is the root, Jesus is the vine, and we are the branches.
What fruit we bear can only be of the same seed as the root and vine, or you are a branch of something besides God.

BILL!
You have to end the first paragraph of the person you are responding to with the [/QUOT.], or else the "quote" is attributed to the wrong person.
The lack of doing so causes a bit of confusion.

John the baptist:
for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He shall never take wine or strong drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even from his mother's womb.
(Luke 1:15)
filled with the Holy Spirit from the womb
so how, why . .

And having summoned a certain two his disciples, John sent them to the Lord saying, "Are You the coming One, or are we to look for another?"
(Luke 7:19)
filled with the Spirit, yet able to commit the sin of doubt?
I've often wondered about this very thing.
Might make a good thread.

After I left. I said I left, and was banned. I could of explained it better, so lets let it go.

I didn't know there was a ban until I tried to go in again. Then it said banned.

I left because of Dot and her friend 501; they were ganging up on everyone.
I can understand your consternation.

You have no weight or credibility here.....you promote yourself, sinless perfectionist rigmarole and have proven openly that you are not all that and a bag of righteous chips......

No need to waste any more time on your drivel......
We all have the opportunity to serve the right Master.
But it is only possible by killing the "old" man.

Maybe one of these days you will figure out the truth concerning the above.......until then....good luck with your sinless perfectionism......
Would that be the "truth" Jesus said could free us from service to sin? (John 8:32-34)

Read back through the thread others were discussing this problem and they seemed to have found a fix . I only scanned those posts but I think someone was able to stop it from happening to them .
Blessings

Romans 6:23 (HCSB)
[SUP]23 [/SUP] For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 5:14 (CSBBible)
[SUP]14 [/SUP] Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who did not sin in the likeness of Adam's transgression. He is a type of the Coming One.
Romans 8:3 (GWT)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] It is impossible to do what God's standards demand because of the weakness our human nature has. But God sent his Son to have a human nature as sinners have and to pay for sin. That way God condemned sin in our corrupt nature.
In the Apocrypha it says:
2 Esdras 7:118 (NRSV)
[SUP]118 [/SUP] O Adam, what have you done? For though it was you who sinned, the fall was not yours alone, but ours also who are your descendants.
I agree that there was the "original" sin, and it introduced death to the world, but "death" is not sin.
I never committed a sin till I was about six years old.
To die before that sin, would have precluded me from the lake of fire.
Another thread perhaps?

Who can argue with the wisest man ever born, King Solomon, the author of Proverbs.

"Who can say, "I have kept my heart pure; I am clean and without sin"?" Proverbs20:9
Jesus was the first, and all those "in Christ" can too.
Thanks be to God.

Of course not....but lest we forget...JESUS did point out the hypocrisy of the Pharisees and their sinless perfectionist fingers who in self righteousness lifted themselves above all of those dang sinners who were around them....
I don't remember them ever declaring their innocence.
Besides Jesus' illustrative parable, that is.
Got a scrip'?

UMMMMMMM...not hardly.....try again...this time without bias and your eyes open.
I guess you walk in light and in darkness?

If your misinterpretation of 1 John 1:8 is true, then verses 7 and 9 are lies.
They say ALL our sins, unrighteousness CAN be washed away.

Only a false repentance from sin would accommodate more sin thereafter.

[QUOTE=dcontroversal;3332074]FALSE heresy ALERT............verb tense alone prove the statement above false ^^^^^^^^[/QUOTE]

It is written..."For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? (1 Peter 4:17)
And..."For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." (2 Cor 5:10)
A
nd..." [FONT=&quot]For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. [/FONT] [FONT=&quot]So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God." (Rom 14:11-12)
[/FONT]
There is a judgement coming for every man.

By grace are you saved...

Wonder why PJW lies against the revelation of God's Word? Alot?

He's already shown himself to have fulfilled 1 John 1:10.
I forgive you for your misunderstandings.
As for verse 10...I was among the worst of sinners before getting off the dark path.

LIKE THESE WILL TRY TO SHOW HIM?

Matthew 7:22-23 (NIV)
[SUP]22 [/SUP] Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?'
[SUP]23 [/SUP] Then I will tell them plainly, '
I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
Nope, not like them.
They committed iniquity.

Do you have children? Did they ever fail to obey you? Did that mean they stopped loving you and even abandoned you?
What did you do? Did you kick them out? Did you disown them. were they no longer your child? Or did you as a loving mother go to them and lovingly bring them back into fellowship with you?

Are you greater and more loving of your child that God is of His children?

Think about it.
If you commit sin, scripture says you are a child of the devil. (1 John 3:8-10)

Don’t confuse obedience to God with a terminal case of self-righteousness, which does not equate to loving God above all else.
I could exhort you to do the same thing.
Obedience-vs-self righteousness: which if different than obedience...must be disobedience.
I am glad you came to this conclusion on your own.
May the Lord continue to guide you into all righteousness.

The context is believers going on to maturity and the evidence of those things that accompany maturity and salvation <---THOUGH WE THUS SPEAK verses 1-3 and verse 9........the whole book is directed at those who wanted to go back under an inferior way and to an inferior priesthood.......and the very text you cite states clearly that it is IMPOSSIBLE to fall away and then be renewed unto repentance from dead works by re-crucifying Christ all over again......MOVE ON brothers and MATURE and show this MATURITY by those things which ACCOMPANY SALVATION.....

TO say one can FALL AWAY to the POINT that they lose salvation and must be renewed PUTS CHRIST TO OPEN SHAME....wake up man to what is really being said....
The impossible part is the "renewal".
If they eventually come to Christ, it would actually be a "first 'newal".

If someone leaves the church/sins/denies Christ, they were never in the church, or Christ, to begin with.
